i would definetly not DE 2nd copy of those cards listed above, but i would not craft it either ... craft only one that u need for deck u want to use and wait for 2nd one from pack ;-) ...side note: u cant craft mindcontrol :PPP

Speaking of Betrayal, it is a rather misleading card in itself: 'Force an enemy minion to deal it's damage to the minions next to it.'

What it actually does is deal it's damage and it's effect if it has one, which isn't easy to glean from just reading the card text, it also is not boosted by spell damage enhancements*, so casting Betrayal on a Water Elemental with Bloodmage Thalnos on the board will still only deal 3 damage to the minions either side of it, but also freeze them.

*The reasoning behind this is that the damage is dealt by the minion and not the spell, but it's easy to miss this due to the unique nature of the card.

IMO that's clear enough from the text of the card already.  Betrayal explicitly says that the minion deals the damage.

to be honest for a new player that might not be so clear. when u encounter that card and see it in action u dont think about at all after couple times, but when u would first use it on water ele/cobra and see that effect of minions attack will proc too u might be surprised and even possibly (probably not) would use that card differently if u knew this would happen. im not sayin wording is wrong but its not crystal clear ... but then again its HS and u can squeeze only so much "meaningfull" text on a card :)

Something came up in a recent tournament - a misdirected Water Elemental hit its owner and did not freeze it. Can anyone confirm if Water Elemental only freezes enemy minions? That is not explicitly stated.

interesting, when u play Betray on water ele, u force him to attack minions next to him and they get frozen ... or am i misstaken? it is a long time since it happened to me but i think it was like this. same with cobra.

I agree that a 4/7 feugen is better at baiting removal such as fireball and such, but a hogger will definetly bait out silence more often. The threat of thaddius in arena is so little that no one cares as you have to 1. draft 2 legendaries and 2. somehow manage to both draw feugan and stalagg in the same game and get them both killed. Also, on an empty board, hogger is very powerful. For instance, the board is about equal, you trade in your minons, the board is cleared. You then play hogger. Your opponent either has to silence/spell hogger during his turn, or play a couple of minons and watch as hogger gets value. Because it is two minions in one, you can get better value.

first of all u get rly few silences in arena draft in most cases probably zero ... second if opponent would be in position where he would "have to" silence hogger and not remove him straight away and leave 4/4+2/2 on board, i dont think he would win the game anyway and in that case doesnt rly matter if u would play hogger or feugen. dont believe he would bait out flamestrike just for himself, not often at least. playin him on empty board is so rare tho i wouldnt even take that into consideration :) i know it seems like im making hogger some rly bad card but im just sayin my oppinion on why i wouldnt pick him over feugen :)

Without knowing specifically what cards are in this deck you can't be sure. I also think Hogger is being underestimated in this. Losing a hogger to a flamestrike is still a 1/1. And that's the worst case loss. A fireball leaves a 2/2 on the board. Taking someones silence leaves the creature and gets rid of a silence. Draw it away from Tirion. It's more effective against him.

If the deck is heavy on silences or taunt buffs then Rag is an amazing addition. If it has attack buffs, then a second Tirion might be better.

and 4/7 feugen will survive both flamestrike and fireball and can bait silenc or even harder removall like poly/hex (hogger most likely wont) and your 1-2 tirions or ragg will be so happy :)

i guess onlytime i would even consider pickin hogger would be if i had too many 5drops, if i didnt then feugen is even more valuable pick imo :)

The worst was leaving a hunter's Malygos alive (it was his only minion) because I would've had to throw my entire four minion board at it to clear when instead I could bring him down to ~6, drop two more minions on the board and set up lethal for the next turn. I had ~22 health at this point. Let's just say Arcane Shot can be a pretty efficient card sometimes.

i thought u will say that he put fire trap and all your minions died for "free" when u attacked face not even killin malygos :D that would be pretty devastating

4/4 instead of 4/7? haha wouldnt pick that, but 2nd tirion for sure

Technically, Its a 6/6 which can get pretty good value since hogger is actually 4-5 best neutral legendary in arena since the game is mostly about board control, something hogger excels at. Also, I would probably only trade 2-3 for 1 with fuegan, while with hogger the potential is unlimited.

    1) so many spells deal 4 dmg or 3dmg+hero power, especialy when top arena class is mage/druid ... thats why i wouldnt pick hogger over feugen in this case

    2) i did pick hogger couple times in arena (either cause i wanted to try him out or other legends were worse) and pretty much never got big value out of him, enemy delt with him with ease and i always wished i had better 6-drop or legendary in his place

i was vs druid last night: he T1 innervate > demolisher, from that point everything i put on board demolisher would snipe, so by the time i got to T4 and start pumpin my 3 yettis he would have 3 minions out and demolisher would hit them and he would wrath/or run 3/2 into them and i couldnt basicly had any board control at all lol ... i think after this game, i will look at demolisher in druid arena differently and probably will prioritaze it from now on :)

    It is gimmicky and inconsistent

A deck that has a massive upside but relies too much on the combo.

Also lots of people are running silences in teh current meta which just fucks you

You can't Silence a stealthed Shade of Naxxramas.

You're right of course when you say it's gimmicky. But then again, Miracle Rogue also depends on a combo and that deck performs great. (or at least it did before Leeroy Jenkins was nerfed)

u cant rly compare miracle rogue to anything i think ... cause no other deck has the ability to draw 1/3 - 1/2 of your deck in 2 turns, even if u run gadzetans u cant stealth them so they wont survive a round and u might cycle like 3 cards ... i mean by all means call inner fire+divine spirit (+shade) miracle deck, it does depend on miracle combo, but comparing it to miracle rogue is not the best example imo :)
