I like that the rules and card pool will change often, presumably monthly. Not exactly what I had in mind, and the first format doesn't do it for me, but optimistic that card pool is rotating and rules changes sound interesting. The option to buy decks sounds interesting, especially with the pool for the first format a little too large for my tastes.

This is actually a MASSIVE nerf, what the hell?

noseblled posted a message on New Demon Hunter Legendary Card Revealed - Final ShowdownPosted in: NewsI don´t know why so many people here are so certain that it is garbage, when not even the whole expansion is revealed, let alone got tested a few weeks in-game...
Many, if not almost all, of the top decks in recent history rely/relied heavily on either great card draw or great "manacheat" (ramp and or cost reduction). If you even combine both, you can end up with such absurd abominations as pre-nerf lunacy mage. Even after nerf it is still a good enough deck, and just to give some more examples look at current or recent decks like from like priest, rogue, libram paladin, all forms of druid, DH (deathrattle has alot of "manacheat", otk relies on draw an reduction) etc.
All I´m saying is: You should never disregard any card that has some form of "card-draw" or "mana-cheat" in the text, cause those always have the chance to create -what feels like- "unfair and overpowered plays"

Priest: bye bye to play 4-5 renew per game
Druid: nice, still a pretty good deck with good combos, BUT, now we dont need to concede on turn 1 when putting 7 minions on board

Quinnmare_Heartskirts posted a message on RegisKillbin & Kripparrian Withdraw From Inn-vitational This Week - Blizzard Announces Plans and ReplacementsPosted in: NewsTo those who feel like the deciding factor is political or social pressure, weather or not you are a minority, it is understandable that this feels like pandering or catering. I would encourage you to actually take a look around you and consider what the reality is. If you work for a large company, odds are your entire board of directors are white males, the women will most likely be white as well. The senior leadership team i work under including all our executive officers is 90% white male. There is two women in that level, and few have any form of ethnic backgrounds. Three months ago, some idiot I work with told one of his coworkers to go back to the middle east and have relations with a goat. He was a third generation porta Rican descent who was born in Florida who did 12 years in the USAF. Most minorities are worried that if they are pulled over by law enforcement, that they will be shot by some cop who thinks he's gods gift to the world. Minority soldiers who fought in Korea and Vietnam wars are still struggling to maintain or even get the benefits they deserve, most of that were designed to be especially difficult for these minorities to collect. This trend of using policy to suppress minority's today continues with most law enforcement officers enjoying almost complete immunity for their actions (4 out of 138 who killed someone actually serve time in connection with that sentence). These are just tips of the biases and systemic and institutional discrimination that remains in all aspect of American and world society.
I really understand how it feels like inclusion and diversity are being shoved down your gullets. I also wish that these creators wouldn't have to feel like they are obligated to take some sort of action. I wish that we could just stand on merit, but there almost isn't any aspect of our society where that is truly the case. In an ideal state your gender would be person and your race will be people, judge solely on actions taken. If its not fought for at every chance and the whole of society languish to take action as a large unit, than discrimination will still be a problem for the next century to deal with as well.
P.S When selecting crews for the first maned mission to space, the women who participated out preformed and out scored all the men, but were not chosen because "America couldn't handle the deaths of a female astronauts."

xskarma posted a message on RegisKillbin & Kripparrian Withdraw From Inn-vitational This Week - Blizzard Announces Plans and ReplacementsPosted in: NewsAre people really going to try and argue that a current Grandmaster and someone who represents their Country in international play and who has held Rank 1 on ladder should have not gotten invited, because they are somehow not qualified enough?
Really?
That's a special kind of bullshit.
I think these invites just go to show that there's plenty of women available who could show out in events like this, and all they need is a chance to show it.
Which they are hopefully finally getting, moving forward.

TokiWoTomare posted a message on Meet the MercenariesPosted in: NewsI actually really like how Dawngrasp is non-binary :)
Their art is amazing too! I really love all the lore Blizzard is dropping for these Hearthstone original characters.
Some of these arts would've been much better card art than what we have.

Works pretty well. If you can clear your hand down to just two Kangors, you get infinite board clear against anything with at least 3 attack.
3
That sounds godawful, two (or three) turns of dropping vanilla stats on board and doing nothing else, you'd lose the game before you drew any of your mega minions.

Bottomfeeder is completely different, it was +2/+2 and went to the BOTTOM of your deck. This doubles, and shuffles in. And the Priest one that is +3/+3 saw play.
Maybe learn to play the game and actually read cards before you make dumb comments like this.
2
You think a card that gives you unlimited 3 damage for 2 mana is weak?
4
Literally trash? Why would you not just run Lorthemar
I guess you could run both and quadruple their stats? Which might be good if you somehow manage to grt to that point and not just die on board
2
Buddy Paladin had a 59% winrate as a CLASS, how is it a joke to nerf an insanely overpowered deck?
7
How does it not? You can actually play the spells at a reasonable point in the game instead of waiting until you dont have space in your hand and are probably already dead.
I'd much rather play four random spells with -4 or -5 on turn 6 than try and wait until turn 12 to maybe get them set to 0
1
Dragon Druid has almost exactly the same playrate as Paladin my guy. 86k plays for aggro pally, 84k for Dragon Druid. And Dragon Druid is a 65% winrate deck.
It sounds like you're getting some weird rng, all variants of highlander druid have <15k plays.
3
What are you talking about? The top warrior deck has 36k plays. The top Paladin deck has 86k, Druid is 84k. Warrior has a decently high playrate but nowhere near the Tier 1 decks
2
Removing Rush or Cleave from it would make it unplayable my guy. It's literally fine as is. Not even in the top 50 cards rn.
The deck as a whole is very strong, but the problem is Always a Bigger Jormungar, not Hollow Hound.
