After much more expirimentation i have to say, hallazeal does not seem like a natural fit. needless to say it is a good card, and has saved me a few times,, but the times it wins for me is a rare, hard to reach minion. i will be removing this and a few other one of's to increae consistency, also considering crackle over stormcrack, as well as fitting in at least 1 flamewreath. ideas? comments?
Really depends on the meta, at certain ranks there is very little aggro, at others there is basically nothing but aggro. I would call him a tech spot for sure, the deck isn't built around him.
It's quite an open spot really, if you don't feel you lack heals then you can tech him out for something you feel you are lacking in, whether it's card draw, removal or burst... Card draw is always nice.
Congrats man sounds like you're doing great! I'm really not a fan of C'thun decks because if they play on curve it can be a very uninteractive game and the comebacks that make Shaman so fun can be negated by just dropping a big C'thun - but Shamans is still probably one of the stronger classes against C'thun decks considering we can pad out the board.
Fun deck, and very nice post, but -1 for tagged it like "Legend", ¿legend stats in 12 hours? You get a diference of 25 win games over losses in a day??.
People can be confused and waste his dust. Like i said before is a good idea and great post, but pls no tagg like legend yet.
From Rank 2 win streak into mid-legend, that'll do for the tag.
Absolutely getting destroyed by pretty much everything .. 5k dust wasted
What do you seem to be struggling against in particular? I have about a 65% win rate and we have a couple guys at legend now, it could be that you just need to tweak the deck toward the kinds of decks you're facing at your server/rank. The list above is not tweaked for a predominantly aggro meta for example, but I have heard some people are facing mainly aggro decks around ranks 5-1 on EU - in that case Feral Spirits and switching LS for ED might be advised.
Only 1 Lightning storm/Rockbiter is enough? I've always run two in my decks (but I'm a newbie)
Stormcrack is on the deck because it is new or it is really good?
Also, only 1 Evolve/Eternal Sentinel? I tend to use 2x of the OP cards because otherwise I never draw them in any game.
Also, since I tend to get carried away by "this card looks OP" trend I can't help but have a huge urge to use C'Thun in this deck with only the 2 cards we get with it to buff him),how bad is it?
Aaand...I have 1600 dust right now,is Hallazeal worth crafting?
One Sentinel I think is fine but I am looking to get rid of the Trogg and add another Evolve.
Stormcrack I'm finding great against the many 3/4 C'thun minions/Drakes/Golems etc. on the ladder.
You can run without Hallazeal for sure. I don't think it's a risky minion to run because it has such good stats so even if you don't need the heal it's valuable, but if you don't have it and can't afford it then you can surely swap it for something like Brann, and use him on the Scarabs to give yourself some more tools to survive.
Can you explain me why you use Stormcrack instead of Lavaburst? I mean sure 1 mana less and 1 less overloafor 1 dmg less, but i drawed in the last 10 Games 3 Times Stormcrack when Lavaburst would be Lethal...
If you're not finding you're facing many 4 (or 5 with SP/Azure Drake) hp minions then you can try Lava Burst. I like Lava Burst when it's from a Scarab but otherwise I find it a bit clunky in it's mana cost and overload - but your mileage may vary. When it comes to burn spells you should really just adapt them to whatever you're seeing most of :)
i took out stormcrack and thunderbluff valiant for another trogg and feral spirits... currently rank 3... what do you think?
It's really a meta call, those changes would be suited to an aggro meta so if that's what you're facing then go for it.
Myself I am facing mainly C'thun decks, which I suppose are tempo decks with a big finisher really, control Warrior and the mirror. I'm actually starting to debate having a 2nd Evolve, there are many times when it would likely win me the game if only I had drawn it/drawn another.
20/26 wins atm. It look pretty good. It is very good vs C'Thun, Control and Midrange, even aggro if you got [card]Hallazeal the Ascended[/card] [card]Lightning Storm [/card] combo.
It suck vs mage and murloc pala, because they can draw, clear your board and they can out-tempo you, butit is a very good deck, I reccomand it
Great ratio! I'm also having a lot of success, but yes the old adage that Shaman is dead if it loses board control remains true! For that reason I use Earth Shock and Hexes aggressively in the early game if needed.
