posted a message on The Rogue Quest, The Caverns Below, is OP. Nerf it already.

Go play something else if you are tired of seeing the same show on repeat. Tell me if you've heard this one. New expansion ---> one deck rules the roost (plug in Quest Rogue) and then the only way to beat it is super aggro then the super control comes out to clean up the super aggro and then the Quest rogue will come back and on and on the wheel spins until the next expansion when everyone will forget exactly what occurred the last expansion.

I play wild. more variety. less chance that you have to deal with rock, paper, scissors as often. (at least in my opinion).

posted a message on New Rogue Quest - The Caverns Below (Crystal Core)

It can make anyone a rogue player because its the most auto pilot thing since X-mas tree Secret Pal. Anyone playing this deck insults their own intelligence. Once again an expansion is released and it looks like literally 0 testing was done. Make the quest have to be 5 of the exact same card so that it has to be bounced several times out of play to even be safe. We are less than a day into the expansion and already the stagnation of the ladder has occurred because Blizzard couldn't be fucking bothered to just not have one card be so broken it derails any fun to be had.

    Fuck standard. Never again.

posted a message on Which quest is best?

Having Hunter in Tier 4 is a glaring oversight. It can be triggered on turn 4 and then the second flood begins its a turn 6-8 end. Between Hunter and Rogue the game is really fun*.

    * fun if you never want to see turn 8 or further ever again.

posted a message on Time to nerf Gadgetzan Auctioneer again

It's that simple. It has become a draw whole deck mechanic and with all the new help from counterfeit cards and jade token it is too dependable and has made a rise to yet again a trend of non interactive decks. I honestly don't think any mana increase will change the level of influence this card has on a deck and it should be retired to wild only but maybe 8 mana would deter some of the nonsense of knowing the game is over if they have it on turn 6. You know what else works exactly like that? Mysterious challenger in wild. Know what these two cards have in common? They are 2 of the very few examples of cards not to be legendaries that are the focal points of a deck.

Welcome to Hearthstone where you can play only 2 decks currently and they are both auto play (Pirate X or Jade Druid). The game has never been in such a bad spot as it is currently. Never. I felt better chances of winning versus miracle rogue. I felt better in the variety of the game when face hunter existed and I felt like there was more skill involved in the play when Secret paladin was at its height of power.

Fuck your 2 decks only bullshit and I'm already tired of it.

The game is literally the fastest I've ever witnessed it. This meta with the endless zoolock/aggro and midrange shaman feels very much like the pre nerf undertaker hunter era of the game. It's frankly the least fun I've had with the game since I picked it up in beta. I've said I would quit in the past after losing 4-5 games in a row but if the fix for shaman was to make it the easiest way to count to 1-2-win then I really have lost hope in the design for the game. I don't see a healthy meta and the fun for me is fleeting at an alarming rate.

Kinda ironic that you are posting this but have Golden Leeroy as your Hearthpwn Avatar lol.
Was the first golden legend I got... I guess it doesn't matter since I finally just uninstalled. I'm done fuck blizzard games I'm sworn off of the company as a whole going forward.

Obviously done to make you concede. It's not an invalid move, because the rope is part of the tun, and you can't do anything about it.

I can't really disagree with you?
But this isn't blizzcon 2016 championships... you really believe its a strategy and not some child having a fit?
That's circular logic because the same question can be posed back at you. Are you certain its an angry player or is it just what has been perceived by a player as competitive edge? It's early in the season you might actually be facing someone who seriously knows he can net a few easy wins by playing while watching a movie and making only a play in the last 10 seconds of his turn. Really I understand you in earnest want to have a change but this is not far removed from being on the salty thread. The rope is a nuisance for those early turns and vital for some decks in the later turns you can't rid of it or it would feel like punishment for control decks. I think taking the chess standard of an allotment of time for ranked play would be fair so long as the number for aforementioned allotment was reasonable for what could be conceivably the longest possible game between two competitive players.

posted a message on Help building an ok-ish deck

First things first. Dust that golden forbidden ancient. Then build all the aggro shaman cards from it.

If you are sentimental or have other qualms about the aggro/midrange shaman I saw you have reno jackson... so you can always just hodge podge a reno deck.

posted a message on How can I defeat Control Paladin?
    Quote from Oritteropo >>

I'm playing Loyan's decklist for totem shaman and I have a good winrate against any deck except one: N'zoth Control Paladin.

Every board gets wiped by Consecration, Equality, Doomsayer and Wild Pyromancer. Monsters not wiped are weakened by Keeper of Uldaman, Aldor Peacekeeper or Humility and destroyed by minions or weapons. Every burst of damage is healed and I cannot freely use Hex because it's absolutely needed against Tirion and Sylvanas. Doomhammer doesn't last more than a turn, Harrison is always ready to destroy it.

My winrate against that deck is more or less 20%. Is there any strategy I can use to improve my chances for this matchup?

Do you think that tweaking a deck to beat the one bad match up won't result in another match up becoming the new bad match up? Be happy such a easy to pilot deck is preforming well against the other 8 classes from your own admission. The post sounds more salty than anything about seeking out advice. "My premade deck doesn't beat everything and give me a bj and legend automatically... what can I do to make this happen?"

posted a message on Is Eydis Darkbane a dead card now?

The twins much like other gimmicky decks only work if you can really get value from the twins... which takes too long to set up against mid range and aggro. Against control it's slow enough to have your opponent have all the answers to your fun. That's why it never really came to fruition. I would like to see it in the paladin deck (they have 16 activators if you count casting humility on your own cards) to have more beneficial targets to give buffs to. But in the end they don't serve a purpose that other cards end up providing with more consistent upside.

if you play shaman i'm sorry but ill rope the shit out of your piece of shit net deck. being able to coin turn 3 into a 7/7 and just hedge the bet that if the player has a removal you get to know you wasted that entire turn to remove a 7/7 and if you even get 1 turn with the 7/7 on the board you win the game... What a great idea it  was to make an auto concede turn 3 option for the game.

Doing what it takes to get good won't make my luck improve. Screwed logic.
If you truly believe that, I'm not surprised you're struggling. To be honest, you will never be good at Hearthstone until you stop believing in luck.
True. I used to believe in luck as well. This is a big no-no, a HUGE noob trap. There is (almost) always something that you could've done better, something that you didnt think about. That's where you will find most of your mistakes, and effectively improve from them. Sure sometimes luck IS an issue (horrible starting hand, awful draws, bad rng), but in the vast majority of games this isnt the case. Unless you're playing a deck that revolves around rng of course (yogg-saron bullshit).
For a lot of people the trap is the deck they play more than this feeling that RNG has betrayed you. There are decks and cards that have more upside than consistency. For new players you should focus on consistency first because that will help you realize the flow of the game better. After you feel fully acclimated to the flow of the game from most deck archetypes you can tweak the deck to help counter a specific type of deck you might be facing more on a day to day basis. Anyone agree or disagree with that sentiment?
