    posted a message on A Few Cards I've Made V2.0 (10/9/2018)

I'm just going to add my opinion for future posts, criticizing just the concept of the card.

Bound Essence: Stealth with a permanent effect is pretty toxic, because you can't deal with it properly. Imagine Mana Tide Totem with Stealth...

Lothraxion: The effect is targeted on stopping aggro decks from killing you. But it is at 9 mana, so you never get to use it against an aggro deck. For example Lord Godfrey does a better job, beacause he reliably clears the board, and Lothraxion doesn't, so you would have to deal with the rest the following turn...

Chained Mana Wraith: I don't see any case where this card could be useful except Rogue vs Rogue Academic Espionage matchups. A conditional 5/8/8 at turn 8/9 is not strong enough, given you have the coins...

Quest: Pure coinflip, your opponent hasn't got an answer early on, you win with the 32 damage weapon, he has an answer, well, you just play your Paladin gameplan. Think of all the meta decks out the and how many can deal with that until turn the consistently. And you don't even lose that much, because he needs removal. Thibk back to the pirate Warrior era, that did not feel good... Idea for improvement, just remove the text 4/4/4 weapon is already crazy strong.

Dr. Gloom and conclusion: Every card just feels bad, because either you gain an horrfic advantage, whcih the opponent can't really react to or it just does nothing. In the case of Dr. Gloom: Either you got treants e.g. Living Mana and just stomp the opponent (Imagine Spreading Plague + Soul of the forest against any board centric deck or just Living Mana) or you don't and this card is useless. Think of Dinomancy when you consider conditional permanent effects. For future card designs think of how you would feel playing this card and how the opponent would feel considerering counterplay.

I think your changes shift the attention too much away from the artwork and the card text, which should be the center of attention in my opinion.

No, it's a key card, it enables any kind of tempo mage, because you never run out of fuel, which consists of cheap spells for the crow and cost reducing cards Kirin Tor Mage or Sorcerer's Apprentice
