Hakkar should be tier 3 IMO. It's a tech card for control deck to beat combo and so far we've seen it in toggwaggle druid and control Priest so not a completely meme-ish card.
Bro, no one cares about MTGA, they play it because they're sponspored. Wizard is not even that big in video game industry.
Artifact is where it at. Few pros/streamers have already confirmed they'll play it. Most of them had some competitive background and want something "less-casual", they trust Valve in that matter.
Their contents still generate million views everyday. "B-but major casual players don't care..." How the fuck do you know it won't affect Hearthstone? Are you a data analyst? Until the next quarterly report from Blizzard we don't know that.
it's because these last 4 expansions have been especially bad. There are a lot of tournament viable combo decks in this meta, which is really bad for the game. What's worse is that minion-trading is essentially gone because of cards like Spreading PlagueVoidlord [/card][card]Defile and Prince Keleseth. The minions people do actually play are stuff like Devilsaur Egg, Carniverous CubeDoubling Imp, and baku paladin. (all of which are minions you can't realistically trade into.) Combo decks are usually extremely repeatitive, because you have the exact same win condition every game and all you do is play cards that draw cards and survive, and those are the best decks right now, so it's expected that this meta would be very tiresome and not worth playing.
To be honest, you're probably just better off playing a different game at least until december because Blizzard has even said that "they're very happy with this meta, but they're looking at Giggling Inventor" so it's not likely there will be a balance patch for months. They've lost their magic recently and it's not just in HS. HotS has gotten a lot shittier recently too. They added 1 really really awful map (alterac) and they just "UPGRADED" one of their old maps which a lot of people really loved to make it like alterac....
You're right. It's not just Hearthstone. ALL of Blizzard is hilariously uninspired recently. Battle for Azeroth is without a doubt the worst and most boring expansion WoW has ever had - and I've been playing since vanilla. Even the Collector's Edition was a literal insult to everyone who has been buying them since day 1.
All of their original creatives are leaving + their hiring standards are stupidly high = No one with any real ideas on where to take their games.
Starcraft 2 is actually growing recently due to some changes they've made. It's a rare one though.
I wish they had done it when the game was popular.
- It's Valve. They rarely make games but their games are always hits. Team Fortress, Portal, Half life, Counter strike, Dota 2, Left 4 dead, etc... These games still have so many cult followers.
- Richard Garfield. The grandfather of all TCG, an actual math professor.
I don't know how good Artifact will be but one thing for sure Valve'll polish the game like they always did. Sound like fanboy-ism but ask yourself how much Hearthstone has evolved since beta? I wish we could at least have 1-2 balance patches or something in between 4 months to keep the game stay fresh but here we are, Boomsday meta with old decks from Witchwood mostly and devs currently have no plan for anything except this random annoy-o-tron hero potrait. Heck we can't even arrange our decks, I mean wtf? even mobile games have more features than Hearthstone. Team 5 is a pretty mediocre team.
I've been burnout even though I tried to play off meta decks to avoid it but their lack of effort getting under my skin. Don't want to blame anyone anymore, I think main reason is Hearthstone just stay Hearthstone(even though it could be more) and I've outgrown the game.
What OP described is the classic case of sunk cost fallacy. Take a break ,find new hobbies, perhaps new video game, eventually you won't look back

I have gamble addict. It's the reason I don't want to play Arena because I feel like I must win 7 or better
Does that count?

Just wait for Artifact:
