Most unfair, maybe. Most poweful maybe not.

Mysterious Challenger, Dr. BoomGrim PatronKnife Juggler were way more powerful and opressive.

posted a message on Loot box ruling that may apply to Hearthstone packs in the EU
Maybe calling it "gambling" is debatable, but for sure charging for something (packs, loot boxes) without specifying previously to the consumer its content at the same time that entices him that he has a chance to get special items (epic, legendaries, 5 star heroes, etc) it's an abusive practice.
In Hearthstone it would be much fair if, when an expansion is released, you were charged for the entire set of cards if you were willing to pay for it. If you'd wish to stick as a f2p you could buy packs with in game currency or dust.

Interesting fact: card was not in portuguese on the stream, differently from the card revealed from the italian streamer which was in italian.

    Why are you justifying incompetence?

Well, I didn't so there's that. What I did do was justify not being total trash lords when this reveal has already gone extremely well on average.
If we were to give Blizzard a grade based on successfully revealed cards, they'd have gotten an A- (12/13 cards in two days, roughly 93% success rate).
I mean, do you only accept 100% success rates?
For the low requirement to uploading a jpg to facebook around a certain time, yes. We arent talking about anything technically intense.
I don't think "technical difficulty" had anything to do with it. i think it was a miscommunication between Blizzard and Esporte Interativo on how/when to reveal the card. You're right, it's extremely easy to upload a provided JPEG, but that gets much harder when you're dealing with translation and cultural differences.
From what I've heard from Brazilian players, Esportes Interativo is revealing the card on-air, not online. This was a communication problem between Blizzard, Esportes, and the Hearthstone fan outlets like Hearthpwn.
Is this a dumb problem? Yes. Incompetence? No, that's hyperbole for such a minor infraction in understandable circumstances. Ultimately, we're dealing with imperfect humans; not everything can work as simply as it should just because it should.
     ^This.
Esporte Interativo is a small tv channel that doesn't make online content. It only broadcasts. Blizzard is to blame here. They should've chosen better. Esporte Interativo has nothing to do with gaming at all.
Now, about the xenophobic comments on this thread... what a losers you all.

I knew nothing good could come from a brazilian sports TV. Here they give little air time to other sports besides soccer... in no way they would dedicate some attention to a virtual card game. Blizzard should have given this oportunity for some brazilian HS streamer like it did with the italian one.

I'm pretty sure it's their job to adapt to the US's timezone and hence to reveal the card on time

It's a Brazilian football facebook page that posts gifs of Ronaldo and Messi every 10 minutes. I wouldn't expect them to bother adapting to US timezone or anything like that. I don't even expect them to reveal it when the actual time arrives :D
Man, unfortunately I have to agree, in general we are terrible with responsibilities and follow rules here. It's very annoying, very sad.
Speak for yourself, dude and stop with this "inferiority complex". The guy didn't said anything about responsability. He just assumes that a page about soccer is not very interested in a children's virtual card game.

I'm pretty sure their job is on a contract that was written in portuguese, using brazilian standards. So, probably it was told them to reveal the card at 3PM and that's what they'll do. I think brazilian branch of Blizzard didn't payed attention to the brazilian Daylight Saving Time when dealed with Esporte Interativo.

posted a message on where is the new card reveal?

It's Esporte Interativo, a brazilian TV station that almost all the time covers soccer and just occasionally (when it's paid for) covers eSports (LoL, specifically).

When the schedule was posted here on heatpwn I pointed it out and a lot of people downvoted me. Now they screw it as I was expecting.
