When this happen to me I wait 3 turns and if they rope each turn I start to rope them, too. This mistly helps. But it is defiňitely bad manner from their side.

ColinthePyro posted a message on Cutting the Gold Earned from Casual in Half - A DiscussionPosted in: General DiscussionIf you haven't played casual in more than 2 years why are you suggesting changes that would radically alter it for the people who regularly play it?

Sounder posted a message on Cutting the Gold Earned from Casual in Half - A DiscussionPosted in: General DiscussionI don't understand the problem this thread is trying to solve. When Casual is used as a "killing floor for netdeckers that play for the sole purpose of earning gold", how -- specifically -- is that bad for others?
MMR is used in casual. You will be paired against an opponent with a similar MMR to yourself. If all the netdeckers have a high MMR and you with your fun homebrew deck have a low MMR, you won't see them. If your fun homebrew deck can earn a high enough MMR to see them, then you're good enough to go toe-to-toe with them too.

TheHoodedClaw posted a message on Does anyone else find it offending when people use the term "cancer" for hearthstone?Posted in: General DiscussionQuote from johnnycentral1 >>I have had family members with cancer, and I just find it gross that people throw the term around for a digital card game. You cant use your brain to find another term or word for annoying decks?
Every other thread some imbecile uses it in their post and it pisses me off. You shouldnt be throwing it around how it is around here. I know I cant control what you post, but just wanted to know if anyone else has had this thought as well.
Look I agree,I think it must be the young generation of the HS community that uses these words without any thought. If you are older (like me, 33) you will have had probably a bit more direct experience with Cancer and the negative impact the word Cancer still has on other people around you, maybe yourself.Ask yourself this;would you say it out loud in a group of people that consists not just of your close HS buddies?with a group of strangers around you?in the office, at the family table, in fornt of class?we are NOT talking about people swearing and being upset and saying stupid stuff like F%ck this and F&ck that and C&ancer this and C%ancer that. we are talking here about using a word that carries a very negative vibe for a lot of people and using it as some sort of 'Mainstream' word for a deck as if it is all normal. it is not. it is not normal to use Cancer the way it is being used here. The simple fact that it will offend a big group of people to me is reason alone we as a community should NOT use this as a mainstream word.If you do not see that it means you have become disconnected and spent too much time in the digital world and not enough time in the real world.Well said!Age/maturity is a key point here. Those of us with more life experience are generally more considerate towards other people's sensitivities whereas a significant proportion of under-25s just like to sound edgy and loud. The anonymity of the internet is also a central factor. As Stokjeros points out, most of the people who are foaming at the mouth to defend their right to be offensive would never dream of using these terms in real life around their families, friends or colleagues but they just love that the detachment of the internet allows them to vent their darker urges. Two arguments which people need to stop using in this thread :"It's not my fault that people choose to be offended." - This is pure victim-blaming. Are racial minorities to blame for racism, then? Are women just over-sensitive to sexism? When you use a term like "Cancer" when referencing an online CCG you do so fully knowing that some will find it offensive. Own that decision, don't try to blame them for it."Telling me that my choice of words is offensive is an attempt to deny me the right to Free Speech." - Very few people here are suggesting that use of the term Cancer should be banned and punished under the forum rules. We are just stating that we find it offensive, we are right to find it offensive and that, when you use the term, you do so in the full knowledge that you are being deliberately offensive.Don't try to turn this back on us by crying about the first amendment. I don't want to compromise your basic rights - I just want you to respect them rather than leverage them to indulge your nasty side. -

gogreen55 posted a message on Is it just me or the ladder is filled with BOTs right now?Posted in: General DiscussionSeriously, 4 games, 3 I'm pretty confident they were BOTs...
Never saw any card highlighted, same pace, always the same amount of seconds, always the "best value" play, not always the best play.
One game I saw a FaceHunter attack my minion after throwing a Hunter's Mark on it, even though it basically had lethal on me.
Next, faced a Secret Pally that just went through the motions and played completely mindless, never highlighting any cards.
The only one that seemed strange was a warrior, but again, no highlight, same pace, and then, I have a Flametongue Totem on the table, giving my minion 5/2 Stats. He attacked it with Shieldmaiden and then bashed the Flametotem...
Am I the only one who feels like there's a bunch of bots out there now?

xskarma posted a message on Bots. You MAD?Posted in: General DiscussionWe have plenty of thread on the issue of Bots, creating one just to taunt people about playing them is not something we are going to tolerate. Your opinion, when expressed more civilly then in the thread title, can easily be discussed in any of the bot threads we have open.
Next time take care to look for other threads to talk about your issue first, and even more care in adressing the topic in a civil matter without riling people up.

Not sure were you're getting your data, but I'm 100% sure your source is totally wrong. Time to find an opponent who is pretty much at the same level as you are, as stayed the same since the beginning of the game, no matter what time of day you're playing. Longer queue would be the only clue that players are dwidling but that's not the case. In fact, it's pretty much the only game I've seen that lasted so long without having queue time becoming longer.

Calling for nerfs is simply totally useless. In a game like Hearthstone, all the stats are available to the staff. If one decks suddenly become too popular, they can quickly analyse the stats, and decide if a card deserve a nerf or not. I can tell you that for Rumble, once again, stats are probably the only reason they toned it down. They don't care about people comments. They simply saw that not enough people were playing it (particularly since they could compare the likely low popularity of Rumble V.S. the other adventures). Sure enough, they likely glance these forums every now and then, but they likely base 99.8% of what they do on their stats alone.
That being said, it does make reading forums so much fun though. Hope people will continue to do so!

AMAZING! 70 posts, and after reading all of them, I finally came to the conclusion that based on the expertise here, there's absolutely NO decks that are easy to pilot. Seriously guys, look at the posts! It seem that all the decks versions are easy and hard at the same time.... So finally, the answer to OP's question is: None!!! It's a game based on decision making, and it does look like Blizzard did a pretty good job at it. I find it funny that nothing came out of those 70 posts so far. So, the choice is truly in the eye of the beholder.

Did anybody read the article? Somebody will have to explain this line to me I guess: "The bot is able to win, with an impressive consistency, 100% games against the random player" How could a bot win 100% games in such a RNG game! Random cards and random player? Sure that has to be a combinaison of "one great player with a great draw" VS a "machine with lousy draw" that is unwinnable for the machine, particularly since often decks are like playing rock paper scisor.... I think the test case is "Both the human and the AI start with the same deck" to start with. Sure enough AI don't do mistake. But even then?

C'mon, those are simply old decks pre-release, finely tweaked, that are only used to kill anybody who's attempting to play a deck with the new cards. Those guys are simply using them to climb the ladder without using new cards while WE are working hard to find what's the next deck THEY will use eventually. Sure they will show up top tiers.

When you click on your amount of gold, it does show if you're close to the daily cap, and it will show you if your 1/3, 2/3 wins for the 10 gold. Could be old stuff, but somehow, never saw it before... (So I hope I'm not alone to like that!)

Very very scary isn't it!!!! The fact that the top 3 cards belong to Druid also mean that even if it's not as bad, it will still be very scary. Oh well, as usual, we will see decks designed to try to counter it and we will see how it goes, though this time, I'm not sure it will be so easy to counter. Not much you can do against such great cards...

Well, maybe not right now, as Paladin may not go full Mech deck right away. But, I agree with him, it's a great card. C'mon, a 1/3 with all this built in is awesome. The 1/3 Beast see play A LOT mainly because it's a 1/3. This is a 1/3 with magnetic on top. Everytime you will want a mech to survive while hitting minion, but didn't had enough health? Boom 1 mana, you get 3 extra health. Your opponent played a minion that has one extra health and cannot be killed with what you have on the board? Boom, one extra attack for only 1 mana and likely survability has a bonus. In my book, this little card may limit future mechs, in expansion for Paladin...

Not asking for much, oh great Djinni: My average before opening one Legendary is very close to 34 packs (I've hit the pity 4 times)!!! Don't care about what legendary I'm getting, just make it go down to about 20 packs (on average) per legendary and I'll be happy. Or maybe make me open a pack with two, or dare to dream, 3 legendary?

Two Juicy Psychmelon particularly since it will likely be nerfed eventually anyway, so you'll get your dust back.
