posted a message on Blizzard moves on too fast from keywords

From a veteran point of view, we have played through old expansions hence we know what inspire or recruit do.

From a newbie point of view, there are only 2 hunter cards in standard which inspire, 1 paladin card and 1 warrior card which recruit. Hence I agreed with Blizzard that it is better to spell out the effects entirely for these cards rather than using keywords.

Opponent would not have that board, unless he coined out Kanrethad or Darkglare on turn 1.

So why didn't you kill it off when you had prep and eviscerate?

Nope. Corrupted cards are supposed to keep all buffs. I tried before with discounted Tikatus due to Free Admission. Corrupted Tikatus remains as 4 mana.

I obtained Dreaming Drake from Alex, so it becomes 1 mana. However, after corrupting it, it becomes 3 mana corrupted version. Is this meant to be? I don't think other corrupt cards reverse back to original mana cost.

A monthly fee or limiting the prices to like $20 pr expansion. You should get at least 75-80% of the cards for that imo..

Paying more than a AAA-game every 3-4 months to try and keep up a collection is just stupid. Blizzard are excluding so many players just because of the insane pay-to-play model.

$20 per expansion means merely $5 a month to get everything. Check out the prices of other mobile games nowadays, whether it is genshin, pokemon or arknights. See what you can get for $5 in their stores.

Hearthstone is a collection game as well as mobile game. Comparing to single player AAA games isn't realistic.

Every 3 days we get a new thread saying Hearthstone is expensive because you bought xxx packs and still not own a full collection.

Seriously why do you need a full collection if you are just playing Druid, Warrior and Shaman?

I bought the megapack only and I can play Warlock and Priest decks well. In fact I have enough dust to craft Tikatus and the old gods golden. If I am not playing the other classes, why will I insist on owning the full collection.

I am only talking about owning the full set for those 3 classes

You opened 200+ packs but don't have enough dust to craft what you want for just 3 classes? The good thing about hearthstone is that dust can craft any card you want. Hence if you just want to play few classes, it ain't expensive at all.

Weil, a minion that gets Deathrattle from a spell like Grave Rune is not considered being a Deathrattle minion and, for example, wouldn‘t be resurrected by N‘Zoth.
So maybe Broomstick should not turn the minions into Rush minions as well...

Nope, while on board it is a deathrattle minion, hence it can be affected by cards which target deathrattle minions such as Defias Cleaner.

However, when minions died, they are sent to the graveyard removing all buffs, which is why resurrection does not bring back buffed versions. Hence, N Zoth will not detect them as having deathrattle previously.

Similarly, any minion which are given taunt by other spells can be targeted by black Knight. So why should minions given rush not be affected by ETC. By the way, mechs from Dr boom will also be rush minions.

posted a message on blizzard spies paid to do damage control?

I used to be f2p for years before buying the megabundle when they start adding nice portraits to it. Even when I was f2p I can make it to d5 or legend with ease. Do I own a full collection at that time? Nope. Can I enjoy the game? Yes.

As for the price of hearthstone, if I buy only the megabundle that's about $80 for 4 months of gameplay. People like to compare to full AA title games which cost about $50, but games like ff7r is completed in 40h. Even if you play only 2h a day, that's $50 for 2 months.

However, hearthstone is actually more of a gacha loot box game, which makes it comparable to mobile gacha games like arknights or genshin. $80 in arknights or genshin, if you are lucky you will net yourself just one top tier unit, not even a full squad. There are tons of videos you can find people spending thousands rolling for a high tier unit.

posted a message on You people deserve sweet f all - Opinion on the community

Actually I feel the old system of 10 gold per wins have quite a number of flaws.

Causal was never casual as players use meta decks to farm gold on newbies, making it unpleasant experience for them.

Aggro decks are more popular because games are finished fast so you earn gold fast. Whereas control players get penalised because each game ends up taking more than 10 mins.

You get gold only when you win, which means it is much harder for newbies to earn gold. They can play for hours without earning anything with poor win rates.

The new system gives xp based on playtime, which eliminates some issues above. Control and aggro gets similar rewards if playing one long game gets similar xp to playing 3 fast games.

Newbies will still get xp for losing. And there is no point farming newbies on causal mode.

Sure, the new system just started so it is still experimental and they may have underestimated the time it takes to level up after level 20+, but it just started so give them time to adjust with feedback.

In the long run, if they adjust the xp requirements, I feel xp based on playtime is a better system than gold for wins

Not really siding with Blizzard, just that it doesn't matter to me whether it is the new or old system.

All these years, I usually pilot just one or two decks to legend or at least rank 5 each expansion.

When I get bored of ranked, I play arena or battlegrounds which are entirely nothing to do with your collection.

I don't see how the new system will affect me.

So it wont affect you that you'll have less gold and cards?

Nope, how does it matter much if I just need one or two decks to play for an entire 4 months of expansion. Plus 2 other game modes which aren't affected at all by your collection.

Does it matter much if I own 100 cards or 80 cards if I only need 10 or so relevant ones?

I am not F2P, I bought the megabundle only per expansion, but I still end up owning almost every card every expansion. I crafted all legendaries I want golden.

The new no duplicate rule and guaranteed legendary in first 10 packs help to reduce the cost.

Plus, the free legendary for recent expansions are no longer meme crap like Sathrovarr or  Martin the Fox. The recent ones like Kaelthas, Silas Dark moon and Snip Snap or Archmage Vargoth are all usable and even included in meta decks, and all Galakornd heroes.

Because I never understand why people must insist on owning a full collection.

You can't enjoy the game with just one or two top tier decks? More than enough to get legend with it for those who play rank.

For those who play battleground, you don't even need any cards. Same as arena, your collection does not matter.

If you are F2P, why will you insist on owning every legendary in a new expansion.

If you are P2W, how is this game expensive compared to mobile gacha games. People throw thousands at gacha just to get a particular top tier hero, whereas a mega bundle cost less than a hundred once per quarter.

Lastly, if you notice, even top tier decks use less than 10 cards from a new expansion. In other words, if you have been playing for example hunter now, all you need is probably craft 5 cards or so and you can continue enjoying the new expansion. Why must you be greedy enough to insist on having a full collection to enjoy the game

     1) Weapon removals do not reduce winrates against every other deck. DH is another annoying aggro deck with multiple weapons, + paladin and hunters to a certain extend.

    2) Zephyr is a 3rd weapon removal which you can use before the 2nd bomb goes into your deck. Hence, you have 3 cards to mulligan for when you face warriors.

    3) Except for gala warrior and Dr bomb, bomb warriors have no means to attack face, hence it is pretty safe to just hold 10 cards and heal till fatigue. They will fatigue faster since you have bombs in your deck.

     You're bad at this game.

     Thanks for your constructive feedback.
