    The rewards were said to be planned for release version. Myself, I'd like to see a small chance at getting a random card or some dust for a win in ranked mode. The higher your rank is, the more chance the card will be gold. Something like 3% chance to get a card or 5-40 dust at any rank for a win in ranked. 3% chance for this card to be gold at rank 25-20 and up to 30% chance at rank 5-1.

    Also I'd like to see dust costs changed. Currently common card costs are awful. It takes as much as 40 dust to craft one, but it disenchants into only 5. Generally you'll get 4 commons from a card pack, which means it's not wise to spend arcane dust on commons, because in time you'll end up with more than 2 copies and will have to disenchant them for a laughable 5 dust. IMO commons should either disenchant into 10 dust or cost 25 to craft.

    You mean like able to sustain more damage? I was thinking more about dealing sustained damage as opposed to burst damage. I must be thinking in WoW terms.))

    Very few Mages run Ice Barrier from my experience. I've seen them only in giant decks.

    I'm more inclined to think that the real problem is Alexstrasza into burst and Defender of Argus buffing stuff like Molten Giants.

    Mages are fine. When people stop bashing their heads against the current meta and actually tweak their decks, the stalling Mage decks will lose a lot and die out. Healing is very strong against them, mid-game aggression is good, spell aggression is good, Priests in general are good, super-aggro has a good chance to overwhelm them if they don't have a god hand. Big creatures + silence ruins all their strategy and lets you trigger Ice Block early. The tools are here, people just need to adjust. It's not like the latest patch buffed Mages.

    PS You make it sound like all Mage decks run all spells at all times and unquestionably have them at the appropriate turns. If they are stalling the early game, there will be nothing to stall with late in the game. If they have lots of stalling and spell burn, then they are vulnerable to heals, silences, charges, weapons. Mage doesn't have any sustain if not built around minions. If a Mage casts a Fireball or Frostbolt+Ice Lance at you each turn (=sustain), then you're not posing enough threat for him to deal with. For his deck to work he needs to draw a lot and stall the game. If he has mana to both draw cards and burn you, then you should be more offensive.

    Why do you include Goldshire Footman? 1/2 taunt is very weak. If you want a cheap taunt for protection - take second Mirror Image. It gives you 2 taunts and is considered a spell, so will buff Mana Wyrms.

    posted a message on Hearthstone quickly turned into everything I hate...

    Part of the problem is that the game is new, not many people play and not many people have already built up a large card collection. So those on a budget will want to craft only the most widely known cards. With the upcoming open beta, release and people building up their collections over time, we'll probably see more bold decks in play.

    The patch also brings some solutions. Too bad it doesn't nerf Defender of Argus, I simply hate that card.
