Kiradyn posted a message on New Druid Epic Card Revealed - Frostsaber MatriarchPosted in: NewsA 4/5 Taunt is not worth building a deck around or playing things in a specific order, no matter how cheap it gets.
If you can get this to 2, you could summon a copy with Oracle of Elune

jazzfan27 posted a message on New Shaman Legendary Card Leaked - Gla'cius Frost ElementalPosted in: NewsAssuming Shaman gets more Frost spells, and assuming said Frost spells keep the opponent from hitting your face too much, it is conceivable that this card could be great, even on turn 7 or later.
And if this is good, the follow-up Brilliant Macaw is also gooI
I probably shouldn't be talking too much about standard seeing as I haven't played it in 3-4 months now. But, do you think these frost spells will defend against:
Charging Pirates
Ignites
Bleeds
Fatigue damage that hits you
OTK demon hunter
Face damage from Face Hunter
I could see maybe working a bit vs. Druid. But, even then is your big reward of a board full of 3/4s going to outmatch his board of buffed taunts? I think you might be able to stall, but Druid seems like they will still beat you in the end with more impactful cards.
Libram pally? Maybe? Is this still being played?
My point is, there don't seem to be a lot of minion centric boards for a frost strategy to combat. And the reward seems to be too little too late to keep up with all the better ways to otk someone. It could be I'm just ignoring a lot of minion centric board decks though. Like I said, I haven't played standard in a long while now. -

GetchX posted a message on New Shaman Legendary Card Revealed - Command the ElementsPosted in: NewsEh... we'll see. People are saying this is going to bring back Shamanstone. I see the quest lines of "play 10 specific cards, get a big benefit", and think that's just too hard of a thing to pull off. In this case, overloading makes it even more difficult, because if you play overload cards this turn you likely can't play them next turn. The 3/3 elemental with taunt is an underwhelming second reward too.
In the history of this game, any time you have to do something like play a bunch of cards to get a big payoff, it just hasn't worked in this game before. Aggro beats you to the finish, you don't draw well, etc. Think back to the original quests... rogue worked due to it being aggro itself, but only warrior taunt and priest deathrattle saw any play (as tier 2/3 decks), mainly due to aggro just rolling over quests. Taunt warrior worked best, because it was specifically anti-aggro.
I hope it works, because that means aggro is being held in check in the meta. But I'm always skeptical. Everyone always looks to the big payoff, and usually it's just too hard to get there.

Board clear + board presence, great Hero power. Really does it all for 7 mana.
1
Love this deck, well done!
2
Between the draw power and the AoE, it's pretty strong if you're close to finishing the second step of the questline. It's even better if you're on the final step of the questline. Easily worth a try, but probably will be included in all warlock decks save zoo.

I think the Juggernaut has a new commander!

A 3/4 with basically draw a card is pretty darn good.
Your opponent has to play their cards in possibly an undesirable order on their next turn.
or
They need to play their tempo card for most/all their mana, and then you get to have that same tempo swing yourself next turn.
I like it!

I think another Psyfiend and Serena Bloodfeather would be better in place of the Shadow Word: Deaths.
2
You need to change out Entrapped Sorceress since you're not playing a Quest.

I don't care how good this turns out to be, I will be playing this!
3
Demonic Project for only 1 mana? Holy moly.

A 6 mana Fungalmancer with Broomstick. Midrange decks will wreck with this.
