This card is being vastly underestimated. It's a cycle 1 drop with good stats.
The chances of your opponent also getting a card are low enough that this is good. Also you get to choose which Legendary you both get at worst. Meaning you can pick one that's good for you and may not be good for your opponent.

Thanatos2k posted a message on New Mage Rare Card Revealed - Iceblood TowerPosted in: NewsSo this is also a spell that could get cast by it, thus making you have two of them and doing nothing on the turn you play it.
What exactly do you want to be casting? The targets will be RANDOM as usual, severely limiting what you can put in your deck.
Flamestrike? If you need it to wipe their board and it doesn't hit it you probably lose. Mask of Cthun is a good hit. Deep Freeze is weak. Grand Finale is unlikely to do much. Apex Blast nope because you can't run only spells in big mage. Spring Water is a bust because you can't use the mana since it draws at end of turn. Arcane Overflow could hit your own minion if you had any.
And that's everything that costs 5 or more. What are you using this for!?

You can basically kill your 1 Health remaining Flesh Giant and pop up with a fresh one, all while thinning out the deck. Another 5 Stars for sure.

This card can snowball quite fast if you get it back with Raise Dead, dupe it with Psyche Split, or get multiple ones out from Amulet of Undying.
The problem is that when you spend that 6 mana for the first summon, it does absolutely nothing for you. Without Taunt, your opponent can just ignore it and smash your face in. Even if you revive multiples of it from Amulet or by drawing the fragments, they just sit there for the first turn, not exerting any pressure at all.
I'm not very optimistic on this card really.

"Q: If Questlines turn out to be restrictive for new strategies, would you consider adding a "rule" that if you play a Questline/Quest you can only be matched against another Questline/Quest player? Like a "subgame" let's say. That way the people who enjoy them can still play them.
A: Probably not, if we really believed there was an experience so unfun we wanted to stop huge buckets of players from playing against it... We'd just nerf or change those cards in some way. "
Translation: We will nerf questlines after we see the new set is still getting trounced.

Hello Coldtooth Mine, nice to see you!

Hero power is 3 mana, Summon an Animal Companion.
Improved secrets are:
Improved Snake Trap, the 3 snakes are 2/2s.
Improved Explosive Trap, does 3 damage instead of 2.
Improved Freezing Trap increases the cost by 4 instead of 2.
Improved Pack Tactics summons two 3/3 copies.
Improved Open the Cages summons 2 Animal Companions.

Bonkers with the questline, and great otherwise. I really really like this.

If you reduce this off of a skull draw, the tempo swing is pretty bonkers. Can big DH survive that long? We shall see.
I'm all for more tech for DH that doesn't support the questline Il'Gynoth decks!

Holy moly Call of the Grave just got way stronger just from having this card being made. If you can discount Call of the Grave with Palm Reading, you can Call of the Grave on six, discover this, do the AoE, and then play it out.
Is it consistent? Of course not. But it's just another quiver in Priest's discover arsenal now.

Uhhhhh, this looks nutty for Zoo. Turn 2 Nerubian Egg, turn 3 this. Then you have a 4/4, a 3/3, and another 3 drop out on turn 3. If Zoolock gets some low cost deathrattles, the value is amazing.

I reserve judgment on this card until I see more of the Priest cards revealed. One person mentioned Moonfang with this and I find that hilariously effective.
Playing this in tandem with a taunt can stonewall a lot of things, and it's even free if you find it off of Palm Reading.
