What is the deck you hate the most in the current meta? I'm going with Galakrond Rogue. With all their spells like sap, shadowstep, 1 mana get the perfect reborn minion in your match up, a billion lackeys and 0 mana cards just because you can.
You know, I started to play albatross res priest and had some fun, but sometimes, it takes so long for a game to finish, that even I am winning, I want to concede just to not waste time.
I think it really depends on what you want from wild. If you want to play competitively and reach like rank 5 or legend each month, then you should craft something like secret mage, pirate warrior or any other hyper aggressive deck. Since you mentioned missing the death knights though, i recommend staying above rank 10 and just experiment. You will see a lot more different decks here, and almost anything is kinda viable.
You can just keep playing with the three decks you have so far and get inspired by what other people are playing. Like I said in this bracket almost any decently constructed deck is somewhat viable and the variety makes it a lot of fun imo. As soon as you pass rank 10 it gets more try-hardy, a lot less variety and a lot less fun imo.
I understand what you're saying, but there is no point in trying to stay above rank 10. Losing for 10 games straight just to stay above rank 10 is not the way. And who knows, I've already beaten Big Priest with my demon deck.
Pirate Warrior. Cheap, easy, fucking destroys Big Priests.
Edit: I missed the DK requirement. I must learn to read properly. Warlock is the best DK in Wild imo but the decks can be expensive.
Did you know I crafted big priest? (actually only needed lich king and ysaarj as legendary) hahaha and I am having fun with it.
But I switch a lot between my 3 wild decks, Beast Hunter with DK Rexxar, Big Priest and Elemental Mage.
Which deck is doing the best so far and at what rank are you now if I may ask?
I have some good decks actually for wild now. I invested enough I think to be competitive and fun at the same time.
I started with Mind Blast priest (old school hero power and mind blast fun). Big Priest is very good if you have a good mulligan. Beast Hunter is just fun, but actually didn't work out on ladder at some point (after rank 15). Elemental Mage is descent at this point, and a lot of fun.
I just crafted the 9-7 demon guy that makes your hero immune and with some demons and DK Gul'Dan. It is a lot of fun actually to play wild with minions I've never used before e.g. Reno.
It did cost me much, but it is fun tho. Currently I'm at rank 12, but climbing is very easy at this point.
I currently play a quest reno semi-Dragon mage, it feels kinda similar to Maly Druid (my all time favorite deck) but at the moment it fares much better for me. Rather than using sorcerers, it uses various combos to win the game, such as Time Warp, 1 of each Giant you have, take next turn, Alexstrasza, kill - or get 2 extra turns with Vargoth! There’s plenty more to it but I’m too lazy to explain it all - I can post a list soon if you’d like.
Can you tell me more about this? As I said Maly Druid was my first competitive deck, so a variant with DK Jaina seems cool.
I am having fun atm with elemental mage some guy shared on hearthpwn, but I feel like that it isn't really competitive.
I have played a few matches but the opponents were really bad. 1 go played mage with Murlocs. So that did not represent any sort of strategic ladder deck that was somewhat fun and competitive.
The warlock decks are expansive af haha. Unfortunately. The website gave me a nice beast hunter deck where I miss only 10ish cards and 1 legendary being DK Rexxar.

Thanks for the advice 😂

Warlock seems strong but they are expensive. I don’t want to invest 20k dust in all those legendaries at once.

Does it use multiple elementals and Jains?

Quest mage like 4x sorcerers and fireballs?
I used to play it a lot, but I want to have more fun with DK Jaina and the elementals.

Tier 1 is expansive atm.
