It made me make up my mind. I will not be playing that mode, at all.

HoraceWalpol posted a message on Murloc Madness: Elimination Group CPosted in: General DiscussionCan I just day how much fun this is? As someone who doesn't play wild, it's great fun to be reminded of old favorites and the good times I've had with various decks. There's absolutely no consistent system to how I'm voting, I just go instinctively with the cards that speak to me - and that's the entire point, right? Thumbs up to the mods for arranging this!

Banur posted a message on Murloc Madness: Elimination Group BPosted in: General DiscussionMatch 1: Zilliax. Unity. Precision. Perfection.
Match 2: Whizbang! Being able to try out random different deck recipes was cool.
Match 3: Altruis. I like Nozdormu, but the different type of reach that Altruis provided was something new and you had to plan a bit ahead to combo all your small pieces.
Match 4: Still Malygos. Getting to play both versions of the 'choose' cards was interesting and gave a different angle, but felt too simple to achieve. Like stall the first four turns, then come back with double Oasis Surger.
Match 5: Open the Waygate. A new take on Exodia mage! Planning around double turns is cool.
Match 6: Cairne. I remember the stand-off between Cairne and Sylvanas in the early days of the game. Suiciding your own Cairne to prevent the steal and trying to kill Sylv to get the deathrattle.
Match 7: Mankrik. OLGRA!!1
Match 8: Kingsbane. An infinite weapon that keeps what you throw at it. What could go wrong?
Match 9: Siamat. A weak Zilliax but still versatile. Also I find Alex boring. High value sure, but you drop her for the random dragons.
Match 10: Pocket Galaxy. Soul Mirror is mostly just unintersting removal. There are some cool combos with attack triggers but 1 cost minions are cooler.
Match 11: Astromancer. My issue with Samuro is that he requires buffs to do some work and then it's just some AoE. Solarian is like a mini Yogg.
Match 12: Sunkeeper. Was pretty busted, but required a bit of thought to not overbuff your opponent's board.
Match 13: Yogg. Greybough does nothing without another minion. Also the other choice is Yogg.
Match 14: Godfrey. Like Defile, but goes BRRRR!
Match 15: Cenarius. One of the old school stall options for druid. Barely used for the buff.
Match 16: Kazakus. Barov is just a fancy Equality. -

sPacEtiMe19 posted a message on The Demon Seed is Killing WildPosted in: Wild FormatGonna be the bad guy here, and state what’s often stated and what’s always true.
It’s wild. It’s going to be an unbalanced mess, and it’s that way by design. It is the inevitability of a format that allows all cards to be played in a game that has thousands available.
YouTube any Vintage (MTGs version of wild) MTG crazy combo, and you’ll see another representation of what happens when you allow any and all cards in deck building.
Turn 6 deaths? In MTG vintage, there are decks that can easily win on the first or second turn.

P4dge posted a message on This is how easy it is to reach legend nowadays, especially in this fun and interactive solitaire metaPosted in: General DiscussionNot everybody is a try hard, OP. When I hit legend, I massively reduce my attention, I typically play whilst watching/doing something else.
I'd be more concerned about why you are a similar MMR/rank to either bad players or people not concentrating at all. Doesn't speak much for you if you're there, try harding and desperately making every optimal play and yet are in the same bracket as the baboons.
I did this the other day and it was pretty funny. I didn't even pay enough attention to realise I was playing a Paladin. You might just take this game a lot more seriously than other people do.

Oh man, i laughed out loud at the thought of playing the ransom spell, and the deck coming back, but then switching over to the opponent as it casts a second time!

Ive had random card back as my default choice for a good year and never seen that.
Wonder if it's a bug, but very cool!

Something about FF9 just clicked at the time it came out. I was a teenager and just absolutely loved it. Spent 200hrs on my first playthrough so I could 100% it.
Another game I loved from way back when was Dungeon Keeper on PC. Just something about it was awesome and I wish there was a remastered version.

That turn 1 kill would massively tilt me

I never knew these were a thing!
Looks so sweet, top collection.

Great article, thanks. Also really like the addition of the thumbnail card art above each intro.
Think I'll give the Jade shaman a whirl.

I sort of agree. Alternative skins were rare, and they were a big deal.
Now every class has at least 6-7 portraits so its nothing unusual to see a variety.
What I would say though is that as long as the 1000 win portraits are never purchasable, they will always represent a significant grind to have achieved. Whether that is worth much is down to the player I guess. I have a 1000 win portrait for Paladin but don't really use it.

I hope shadow priest gets a bit more popular and turns out to be strong in the meta, just so I caj get more ranked wins with the class (my lowest currently).

Thanks for making this happen, I will be interested to see who wins.
I hope Mutanus is in the list and goes deep into the tournament!

Yeah, this happened to me last month too, but was quickly resolved once I changed to another mode and then back.
