Be wary, child, of Plaguelands plain...
Be mindful, child, of the infected grain...
For if throat is parched and of infected water sip...
Forever your soul will be in cursed Scourge grip.
So heed this warning, child, and if far from mother stray...
Let light from home's hearth guide you back your way.

    ABOUT THE PLAGUEBRINGER

The Plaguebringer sees diseases and infection as the ultimate weapon, working tirelessly to master new pathogens and spread systems. A Plaguebringer has no remorse at unleashing his virus on his enemies, weakening the immune systems of his foes and spreading his twisted illnesses across Azeroth. These masters of infection arts keep their companions fighting far beyond their normal capacities boosting them with injections of mutated virus while debilitating and poisoning heir enemies. Disease is a tool and the Plaguebringer is its master.

Margrave Stradama, Queen of the Slimes and once leader of the House of Plagues before their seat was destroyed. It was believed that Margrave Stradama was annhileted in the explosion that brought down her house. In truth the explosion transformed her into a monstrous new form of slimes and bones, driving her mad, and leaving her at the heart of the fallen House of Plagues.  A source of plagues and disease, Stradama comes to Hearthstone to serve you global-pandemic realness.

    INFECT / INFECTED

Infect, is the new Keyword added with the Plaguebringer class.  Once a minion is infected, its stats will progressively drop over the course of the battle, weakening even the strongest of the warriors.

Release Expansion : Saviour of Uldum  | Name of the set: Harvester

It's time to unleash more than a Plague but the one who can control their whims. The Harvester Set introduces some of the Plaguebringer strengths and specialities , with a stronger focus on the INFECT kewyord, to showcase you the basics of how an INFECTION occurs but also the synergies and benefits of have a lot of INFECTED minions on the board; it's obviously better if they are enemy minions but in the end of it...who cares who gets sick.

The other two aspect of this set is the are health manipulation and cards that synergize with it and the introduction of the BLIGHTBURSTS token. Once shuffled into your opponent's deck, the Blightbursts are a sort of hidden DOT, they might looks tiny (your opponent will only take 2 damage per card drawn) but we are going to shuffle a lot more in the future.

    Showcase Cards

    TOKEN

    Rest of the Harvester Set

    TOKEN

Challenges: Sludge Giant fulfils the double digit challenge, Forbidden Pathogen uses the Forbidden mechanic from the Whisper of the Old Gods.

Future Development: For the future i'm planning more Blightburst generator but also cards that synergize with the Blightbursts shuffled into you opponent's deck, the Blightburst is a core mechanic of the Plaguebringer. The Health manipulation will be a focus of the next half of the set aswell and we might dive into the Plague Doctor aspect (Marileth is that you?) of this class with a stronger focus on healing and restoration.

I prefer more the new version of Locked and Toaded, I do understand the tarot card but i think it's worded in the wrong way, I still think that should be worded like this but i might be wrong ("Until your next turn, whenever your opponent play a spell, add a random spell to your hand." ) :)

Also from the lore, Fey are actually a thing in Warcraft

    Fey

A fey is a creature with supernatural abilities and connections to nature or to some other force or place. Fey are usually human-shaped or have human-shaped portions (such as a humanoid torso and the body of a stag or other wild creature).[33] (MG 189) Humanoid fey creatures do not appear to exist in World of Warcraft World of Warcraft, at least identifiable by name. Faerie dragons are also fey, and this is reflected in the names of certain subtypes such as Fey Dragon and Fey Drake.[39][40] [2] (APG 207)

This are my final tweaks guys, if you got any feedback more than welcome otherwerise i will post it to the submission thread :)

I decided to remove some cards related to the Blightburst and to focus more on this mechanic in the second part of the set.

     OR

Still unsure on which Legendary I will put forward. I prefer the second option but considering that only 2 cards generates Blightburst at this stage it might be less powerfull. Saying that if builded correctly it can still be an OTK card which is what i wanted.

I decided to keep the giant and I moved the Forbidden Pathogen to Epic. Both these cards fulfils the challenges.

I totally reworked the Blight Apostle and introduce a mechanic that will be used in the future sets. Slimification is a new card that follow the same synergy with healings (edit; momentarily removed because i saw a problem on the artwork - thanks Jean! / fixed.) . Outbreak is a Blightburst generator.

Ray of Sickness has been reworked, now has a synergy with Infect and debuff without "triggering" it. Slime Molding is now a common card, might drop the cost to 4.

The set looks really solid to me. My only suggestion would be to change a spell to a Tarot card so you have 2 Tarot in this half of the set.

Tarot Card: King of Cups I would simplify it to be honest to be like "Until your next turn, whenever your opponent play a spell, add a random spell to your hand." I think it's easier to understand and more basic...

Polycorpse could cost 3, or you could add something like " into random spells that costs (2) or more" /;lk8r4r

    teknician

I was a bit surprised to don't see cards with Kin on your entry as I think is a nice keywords and open a lot of possibilities for your class.

Free Spirits I think should reduce the cost to (1) or I would increase the cost of the card to 5 mana. I really like the synergies with dormant, really Ardenweald :P

Roots of the weald I think could cost way less than 5, maybe 3 (It's still an epic)

Farseer Theya not really sure about this legendary, if I was you I would play more on the Dormant  or Kin mechanic.

    wintrmute

I have to be honest, I didn't;t like the first entry. Saying that this set is looking good and I like the Bury mechanics.

Artworks wise definitely a big improvement, bu please change the Brainless One lol

I like the overall concept of the Ritual, its a mix of Secret/Sigil and I think with a nice UI they could work.

Heavy Footstep I think it's worded incorrectly, I think it should read " Put three Abomination on top of your deck. Draw a card."

Same for Acid Mist, I think it should read "Deal 1 damage to all enemies. Bury a copy of this card, it does (1) more damage."

You're on a really good track with this rework. I love the idea of a card that shuffles in a ton of plague cards all at once as I build up to the plague. I am confident that it would be extremely frustrating to wait through multiple drawn "take 2 damage cards" a turn though, slows things down, but there's probably a UX solution to make this less frustrating (not certain about this, as the core UI/UX of drawing cards isn't always flexible in cardgames, but I'll assume that it's doable within scope for the sake of the design analysis).

Right now it seems like your main issue is that you have a class filled with delayed payoff mechanics. Infect creates a delayed payoff, blightburst creates a delayed payoff. HS games are often decisively won or lost in 5-7 turns (control mirrors non-withstanding) so that's hard to do. Normally you need to pair delayed gratification like that with heavily defensive archetypes, so they have time to play a very long game, or you create ways to get a payoff early (like a giant that costs 1 less for each blightburst you've created this game, similar to the one that rewards you for infecting minions). I'd also be expecting to see a mass rez of all enemy minions you infected this game, that seems like an easy legendary battlecry to me.

In general, a design where you reward a delayed payoff (infect) with another delayed payoff (shuffle in blightbursts for each time you've infected enemy minons) is somewhat dangerous. I'd definitely think hard about how this plays in practice and how the player is supposed to win with this strategy. The natural solution is bomb warrior's, go heavy control while bombs kill them. More parasitic solutions that speicifcally reward you for simply creating blightbursts even if they haven't been draw yet are possible too.

TLDR: Right now it feels like you've got two cool thematic delayed effects that both represent "poisoning/infecting" in different ways, and they're fighting for attention with one another. I'd pick one and focus in on it, possibly make the other a stand-alone card rather than its own multi-card archetype. Since you're locked to infect already, I'd basically just turn Outbreak into a standalone Epic epic card that can singlehandedly create its own archetype (those are really fun and very valuable for a class, there are many examples of cards like this).

Agree with what you said but I wanted to drop the bases for both mechanics on this round and then focus on one or another one later on other sets. The only card I was thinking to change is actually the Legendary and give it some OTK chances

    @MvonTzeskagrad

Agree with what have been said by others, I think you should have more Spirit Remnant generators. I'm wondering wether Unfinished Business could actually add Spirit Remnant instead of the 3/3 minion on the board. Lesser Obsidian Spellstone should be a +3/+3 to me, as per the Spark of Heroism i prefer the aoe buff more than the random one. Tomb Revenant is cool but i'm not sold on the Rush, not sure if can be used by Reborn would be a nice fit. I'm personally not a fan of the Legendary but i have to say it works really well with the Spirit Golem. I also wanted to congrats with you because your class doesn;t feel "priest" at all and that was my main concearn with the first entry :)

    @Ardin427

Gryphon Master Talonaxe is 100% my favourite and i like how it works with the keyword. It feels a really introductory  legendary to me. Weaponmakes is pretty interesting and i like how it generated the threat without summoning a minion like those cards used to do. I personally prefer the whistle option (0/2), but i think in case you could boost it to 3 durability. I prefer Assault Orchestrator  over the clear passage, I think is good on this set to have as many synergy with the keywords as possible. Form the Storm, to me is the first option but i think it should read " Destroy a minion and the minions next to it. Summon an 8/8 Dragon.", saying that it limits the summon as i think is conditioned by the fact that you need at least another minion on the board to generate the token. Legendfed Youngster could be a better option to start an aggressive match.

     Also here's my entry

By rules I can't change the keyword so I will have to work with what I got as I presented it in the first round (ah, the rush lol)

Anyway i think i came out with a good set now, I know the Blightburst mechanic could looks weird for an initiate set for some of you but i really want this mechanic to be a key feature of the class moving forward.

Name of the Set: Harvester or Blightweaver ?

Release Expansion: Saviour of Uldum (Because of the Plagues)

I based this set on 3 main themes and strategies: INFECTED Minions - BLIGHTBURST Generators - SYNERGY Between both.

In spoiler Hero,Hero Power and Keyword

     OR

Vezkil Slimenozzle - I wanted the legendary of the first set to be a centrepiece of the two mechanics. It might not looks like a threat but I'm hoping to showcase more deck manipulation cards in the future sets and I'm sure this card would come handy. The second version offer some potential OTK to the class.

Sludge Giant is one of the many Giant in Hearthstone and follows the same mechanics and it also fulfil one of the two challenges .

Slime Molding is a card that takes advantage of the Infected minions already destroyed and i thought the Immunity was a nice touch (considering you can discover cheap minions too i don't think so it will be too OP). They both focused on the Infected mechanic.

    or

Outbreak should fullfill the challenge, this card simply increase the number of Blightburst by every time a minion is infected. Not too sure about the 0 cost to be honest.

Blight Apostle It does a bit of everything, Infect a minion, shuffle Blightbursts and also has Lifesteal because the main strategy of the Plaguebrnger is to stay alive as long as possible to see the opponent's consumed by the dot into his deck. The second version summon a Plaguefall Kitten from the same set but it requires you to restored health the previous turn. I tend to prefer the second option.

Plaguewood Corrupter Increased the cost of the card to 6, it's pretty sticky and i might drop the stats to 5/5.

    OR

     OR

Pathogen: Swamp Fever and Forbidden Pathogen are both a continuity with the basic set and the Pathogen theme. Pathogen: Swamp Fever is pretty powerfull as is but it does infect your minions aswell. Not sure how OP this could be considering the Sludge giant. I'm wondering wether the second option would be a better choice. Forbidden Pathogen works as a Blightburst generator and, if the Outbreak doens;t fulfill the challenge, this will do :P

Plaguefall Kitten is the mascot of Plaguefall, I;m super happy with it

Lil'Oozeling is an early game Blightburst generator, nothing special about it. I'm sure about this card but i was also missing a generator for the early game considering how Outbreak and Forbidden Pathogen tends to be more powerfull and usefull in the later game rather than the beginning of it. Maybe I could move it to 3 mana and add either Lifesteal or Rush. Alternative is a spell that accellerate the bonus from Infected

As always feedbacks are more than welcome :)

    Thanks for the feedback mate!
Yes I'm thinking on wether I should improve the Keywords or not. Considering I got the Blightburst token I was actually thinking to change it and review some cards to something like this :
    OUTBREAK
Do something if your opponent’s deck contains more than 1 Blightburst

    or

    INFECTED (X)

At the end of your turn shuffle (x) Blightburst into your opponent’s deck

    any preference?

I guess you are adding more Blightburst cards out there, right? I mean... I kind of like how the class looks, not all cards, but balance wise they seem good (Looming Necropolis could use a buff tho). That said, you really have to tweak Bane of Stradama... so the Slimed! token card is not affected by itself. Else you will essentially win by playing this on turn 3 because the cost of removing this card will be 6.

Thinking of it... the problem is worse than I thought, because you can double cast this spell at turn 6 and eat a whole opponent turn and half the enxt one clearing both Slimes... perhaps the numbers have to be altered here.

Yes i am, I'm gong to add more on the remaining cards.

I see where you coming from with Bane of Stradama, I might downgrade it to 2 or even 1 and add at the end of the token (except this card)

Hey everyone, not sure why I'm having some problem lately uploading images on Imgur but i thought I was going to give u an idea of what I was working on for some feedbacks. The majority of the cards works around the Keyword Infect and the 'DOT' concept - similar to warrior bombs but less powerful -. With the legendary I tried to combine the 2 mechanics together.

Pathogen: Black Pox should fulfill the challenge, same for the Sludge Giant.

RELEASE EXP: SAVIOUR OF ULDUM (I thought about The Frozen Throne tbh but with all the plagues featured in SoU i think is a nice fit)

Out of the Normal one, i'm really not sold on the Necropolis, i think it does too many things and i'm also not really happy with the flavour. I think i will change it to something that simply generates Blightburst.

here's where I am at with the rare, still working on a bunch of options.

    TOKEN

     Thoughts? :)

So artwork is clearly an issue for me.  I figured I'd just Google image search and it'd all work out, but its pretty tricky to find the right art (if this was anything higher stakes I'd feel guilty about ripping all this art).  Where yall getting your art from?

Agree with that McFa4rtson said, Deviantart, Arstation, Google images, Pinterest...there are heaps of places where to find good images.

    @JeantheMedicRat

Heritage gives a lot of flavour to the class tbh.

Rival Sibling is a bit confusing but after reading you explanation it makes much more sense. I'm not sure it can be worded in a better way.

The legendary card is my favourite so far, cool mechanic and themed perfectly with your class . I'm just wondering wether it would be better to add a Start of Game effect to the combined version.

As you said Family Fortune could be really OP but i do believe the setup are pretty complicated to be a real threat for your opponent.

     @Klipce

mate congrats for the winning of the round! The keyword is very hearthstonish and it works pretty well with your class. I mocked up a quick ui, i think it would looks nice with a sort of clock or even simply by highlighting the Tick/Tock cards with different colours based on the even/odd turn...or both things lol

    @WKitsune

My main problem with your class is that some cards (some of them are fine) don't look like part of a new class but more likely cards for existing class already in the game, mostly shaman and druid at this stage (Ammunae screams Druid to me). I think you need to work a bit more on the theme of the Titan Watcher and try to condense the flavour of them into a class. I would personally try to reduce the elements, maybe focus just on stone-like spells and thunders, less Elemental and more Mechs....

The main things when I think about the Titan Watcher are their protective nature (which fits perfectly with your Armour theme) and their role in the ordering and shape  of Azeroth. Maybe you could play with this second theme adding more interaction on the order of the minion on the board, focus more on control, interact with positions of minions, minions craft like the DK Hunter or Hagatha.

The Protocols could be interesting and I would personally add more than 1 to this set so you can start building up a theme here.

Going straight to the card my main feedback is on the  Earthrage's Axe, i think is too powerfull, you are literally occupying on of your opponent's slot on the battlefield...to me this is something a Legendary could do but not a rare card. I would add Taunt to the Earth Spike so you actually need to deal with them or at least give them a +1 Attack.

Let say i pick Saviour of Uldum, do you think any of these 2 cards would fulfils the challenge?  i'm trying to understand if the "Plague" can be considered a cycle/mechanic or if i need to be more specific...what do you think?

Also if i pick SoU do i need to give to my all initiate set the Uldum theme?

Ok I already clarified what the second challenge is all about, I'm not sure how else I can break it down... I also included an example in the challenge text now.

Also not sure why people are asking about class cycles now, we're not even on Week Four yet, so there is no need to be concerned with them. And I have already clarified what happens to cycles that are shared between all or some classes in the opening post as well.

    No to second question.

my bad i posted without checking for updates on the first post! All clear now :)

Sorry guys i'm struggling to understand one thing, do we need to pick up an expansion for the release of the Hero and base our Initiate cards on the theme of the expansion or only the Epic card needs to be related to it?

Thanks to everyone who voted for my entry ! I'm really happy to have a secure place next phase but that doesn't mean I'll sit around this time either !

So I didn't submit a custom keyword earlier because I'm still debating a lot of ideas, I hope to be able to share something final soon. In the meantime, I see we have to declare our introductionnary expansion and I'm also not sure there.

For Chromie and the Chronomancer, I think Decent of Dragons would be a great fit and provide a lot of dragon synergies. The thing is, both the Bronze and Infinite dragonflights are already portrayed in that expansion. If I were to do my own set, I would have to either overlap with Priest and Paladin cards from that set or invent something that probably wouldn't fit as well. So how would you feel about either scenario ? Are people okay with yet another version of Nozdormu ?

Other ideas I'm considering include : Journey to Un'Goro with its primordial elements, The Boomsday Project with its wacky hijinks and Saviors of Uldum with all that sand around. Do any of these sound better than Descent of Dragons for the Chronomancer ?

For clarity, the Epic with a mechanic from a past expansion : you mean past as in 1. Prior to the Core set or 2. Prior to the expansion where the class is introduced ?

You could also do Scholomance and just base it on Chronomancy Class.

    Hey everyone! Congrats Klipce!

    Got 2 questions:

    1) Can we use "Cast When Drawn" in the initiate set?

    2) What does it means class cycle? I'm not sure i totally understood that requirements.
