    ABOUT THE PLAGUEBRINGER

BASIC SET | HARVESTER SET IHARVESTER SET II

The Plaguebringer sees diseases and infection as the ultimate weapon, working tirelessly to master new pathogens and spread systems. A Plaguebringer has no remorse at unleashing his virus on his enemies, weakening the immune systems of his foes and spreading his twisted illnesses across Azeroth. These masters of infection arts keep their companions fighting far beyond their normal capacities boosting them with injections of mutated virus while debilitating and poisoning heir enemies. Disease is a tool and the Plaguebringer is its master.

Margrave Stradama, Queen of the Slimes and once leader of the House of Plagues before their seat was destroyed. It was believed that Margrave Stradama was annhileted in the explosion that brought down her house. In truth the explosion transformed her into a monstrous new form of slimes and bones, driving her mad, and leaving her at the heart of the fallen House of Plagues.  A source of plagues and disease, Stradama comes to Hearthstone to serve you global-pandemic realness.

Infect, is the new Keyword added with the Plaguebringer class.  Once a minion is infected, its stats will progressively drop over the course of the battle, weakening even the strongest of the warriors.

Oh, you found a slimy note!

    TOKENS

Hope you’ll like my take of the Plaguebringer set for Saviour of Uldum. I wanted to play with the Plague theme of the expansion giving Stradama a mastery over the other Plagues unleashed by the league of E.V.I.L.  The Deathrattle theme is heavily present in this set but it can also count on some previous entry such as Kevin and Unstable Oozeling (from the Harvester Set) Pathogen: Green Fire, Pestered Mice (from the Basic Set) .

Airborne Sickness and the Neferset Putrefier plays with the Infect keyword and the quest is solely focused on the shuffle mechanic of the Blightbursts (boosted by the addition of the Plague of Exhaustion from this expansion).

If you want to see more of me, please vote me, I'm sure you will like my Plague Doctor mercenary and it's quest to stop the spread of a terrible outbreak in Stormwind following the demon invasion.

    Hey hey everyone!

Hope you guys are doing well! I made some changes on the set, changes some cards based on the feedbacks received and also added a specific Plague for Stradama considering the majority thought it was too lazy.

The Leper Pigmy, I did it just to balance it. You can't use that card with 2 Health remaining as you will hit 0 but maybe i can scrap the debuff and leave it as is. I thought about it because of Truesilver Champion.

About the Plague of Plagues, I had the artwork saved in an hardrive, I'm sure i got it from artstation...

    Thanks for Cursed Presence!

Thanks for the feedback, I did made a different version of the Epic but i wasn't sure about it. The Oasis corrupter i changed it but i uploaded the wrong one lol, i fixed so now has a battlecry and a deathrattle.

I know where you are coming from with the Plague, the idea was to master all of them instead having a specific one, reason is if i add another one it will need also a new plaguelord and it will complicate the structure of the whole expansion. As a class introduced in this expansion I thought it was more lore-friendly to have something like this, the Plaguebringer comes to Uldum because the League of EVIL decided to free those plagues, and Stradama was somehow invited to coordinate the plaguelords as their queen...it wasn't a lack of creativity but more a  story i built around it lol Maybe i should add something like this to the submission to explain the entry into half of an expansion story.

In short, Stradama join the League of EVIL on SoU but then flip side and join the Explorer in DoD, balancing the whole plot.

As per your latest cards, i do like much much more the legendaries and the synergy that the brings to the gameplay. Programmed Obsolence maybe should be  "Deathrattle: summon 1/1 bots equal to this minion's attack" i think it was worded like this on another card but i might be wrong. Racing Clock could have Magnetic aswell in my opinion :)

    Hey All!

JeanTheMedicRat really like the Chromatic Dragonflight theme and the versatility that comes with it. If the Heritage mechanic is support by some sort of UI i think it would work really well and smoothly. The Breath is really well done.

teknician - I would personally add a legendary totem, i know most legendary in Scholomance are some sort of professor but i think it would be something interesting to see...Something like the harry Potter Sorting Hat, but in the shape of a totem lol. I think it would be a nice reference. The class you paired for the Spirit walker are ok to me although i would have used Warlock instead of Priest to be able to get some interaction with the Soul Shards.

Klipce I personally like the synergies with Fatigue cards although i think it's pretty OP at the moment considering the amount of Fatigue cards you shuffled into your opponent's deck. First! it makes it even more OP to me so i would be carefull with those cards.I'm not sure about the legendary with Echo considering.

Ardin427 - The set looks pretty good to me, Windflapper is a bit strange as i don;t really see a link between a Draenor Arakkoa and the dragon theme of the expansion (just the graphic, the card itself is good). I prefer the second Dwarven Dragonrider more as i like to see the class keyword on the expansion. I really like the third Korialstrasz, it;s something different and it reminds you of Alexstrasza without copying exactly her power.

I decided to do the expansion that I pick for the introduction of the Plaguebringer Class, SoU. For this reason I didn't wanted to give this class a specific Plague but instead the chance to master all other plagues available in the expansion. It took me a bit to find the right artwork and try to put something together this time, i started a scholomance expansion, than a Descent of Dragons, but i ended up with SoU because i was really struggling to find cohesive artwork for Scholomance and Plagued Dragonflight ones for DoD. Hope you will like it.

The boon i took is the chance to showcase 4 cards, the bane is No Taunt or Rush or Deathrattle.

    Feedback more than welcome!

Just a quick question, if I choose descent of dragons and I make a galakrond hero card does that count 4 points?

Two questions, if we choose Scholomance to we need to make 14 cards (including dual cards)?

Can we choose the expansion that we set for the class launch?

Good job to everyone regardless of the outcome! I think the entries were really solid!

Got a question, is there a minimum of Boons that we must pick?

    T O K E N S

    • Kevin, the Slime is a good boy. Loyal pet of the beloved Marileth (too busy to appear on this set) it's a slime, a very sticky one. With the right buff on your hand this little boy can grow up to something marvellous and fascinating. Shantay you stay Kevin, you can scream that, he is going to stick around for more than a single performance.
    • Grimy Hands you should have washed your hands properly kid, do you really want to know how many things can grow up on your dirty hands? Well, this spell kind of show how many things can hide in a layer of dirt. It buffs a minion -Kevin can you hear me?, it increase the cost of cards of your enemy slowing down his strategies and also it summon more slimes, infective one to be specific! I mean, to stop the spread you need to wash your hand, but for the sake of the Plaguebringer, the dirtier the better.
    • Unstable Oozeling here comes the cutie of the set, a little droplet of sludge and infectious blobs that it's here to make sure Infections are spreading and, if you really want to kill it - it's really cute not sure if you can do that-, it will make sure to slides some annoying Blightbursts in your deck. The Plaguebringer is here to bring a pandemic on the board, you need to assume the risk of getting a virus is lurking around the corner.

The themes in place with the Harvester set are obviously linked to the Infected keyword and the Blightbursts, but also there is a hint of synergies with healings, spells in general and Deathrattles. Hope you will give me the chance to explore the beautiful and pandemic world Stradama even further.

REST OF THE HARVESTER SET II

PS. I did a restyle of the class and made a new template for it. If I will pass to the next round I will make sure to update my previous entries too. Good luck everyone!

Hey gents, work is a nightmare at the moment, sorry for the absence! I reworked most of the card and while I was there I updated the with the new template.

    • Kevin is a good boy, loyal pet of the beloved Marileth (too busy to appear on this set) it's a slime, a very sticky one. It might become OP in the future but nerf are a thing so I decided to keep it at 1 mana cost for this entry. It's still a legendary :)

    • The Blight Stalker is a new epic card for the Plaguebringer, nothing special on its own but is one of those cards that's is better to keep on your hand :)
    • Grimy Hands is a factotum, it buff a minion, it slow down your opponent and why not it brings you more slime to keep the infection rates pretty high on the board.

    • Oozing Coagulum it's  decent healing spell and a formidable offensive one if you spent you mana on enough healings on your precendent turns.
    • Necrotic Infuser fulfil the challenge and it's also linked to a deathrattle theme that i was thinking to use for later set
    • Contagion drops some Blightbursts into your opponent's deck but also reduce the cost of your spells to unlock more synergies

I was thinking to showcase Kevin, Oozing Coagulum, and either Oozemancy or Unstable Oozeling.

I will post them tomorrow! Need to catchup on the deadlines for work now lol . Until then if you got any feedback more than welcome and sorry again if I didn't had the chance to return the favour !

    Hey everyone

Sorry i had some issues at work! I will  come back later to drop some feedback but i wanted to show you what I did. I scrapped the Fatigue archetype , as some of you suggested it might be good for a post/pre expansion but it is not worth to add another mechanic to the initiate set. I decided to stick to the Infected/Blightbursts mechanics with the initiate set so the cards I designed mostly synergise with them.

I also heard your feedback about the slime so here they are :)

Kevin is a good boy, loyal pet of the beloved Marileth (too busy to appear on this set) it's a slime, a very sticky one. I made a different option where it resummon itself with +1/+1  but i liked this the most because it's inspired by Echoing Ooze . Should I increase the cost? I was thinking 3 mana in case.

with the epic I wanted to try something different, Slime Channeler has a similar effect to Windshear Stormcaller, by itself is pretty useless but combined with the legendary - or if you played Kevin before that - it could be a threat. To My Health! has an effect that we saw on Legendary such as Amara but because I toned it down i think it might be applicable for an Epic. Considering that i want this class to stick around as long as possible the more Health the better :)

Oozing Coagulum is a tricky one to balance, as an healing spell is too expensive but it has the potential to be a Pyroblast so not sure whether 6 mana is ok or too cheap for it. Oozemancy works similar to Glowfly Swarm. Necrotic Infuser should fulfil the challenge for this round.

For the common I added some cards that either generates Blightbursts or interact with the Infected mechanic.

Keen to hear your feedbacks on them :)

I've also work on a custom template, what do you think?

Congrats to everyone who made it through!

    JeanTheMedicRat

As Living Organism said, I feel the Mother of Dragon should have a battlecry instead. 3 fire spell for a 9/9 on board i think it might be a bit too much, but it also depends by how many cheap fire spell you will make available for your class with this set so it's potentially fine. As per the reference to GoT i'm not a fan. I do understand this is a contest and we have freedom but the beauty of the hearthstone card is that they remind you of experiences, npc, zones of Azeroth.

The first thing i thought off would be Rehastrasza and how she managed to collect black dragon egg to purify them, or Xerestrasza the guardian of the ruby sanctum and keeper of the red dragon eggs. Anyway that's how i would do that but if you want to keep the GoT theme it's totally up to you :)

One of the theme i'm going to dive into with the second part of the set would be Health Manipulation. I made some cards in advance to interact with the Fatigue counter but i'm wondering wether i should continue this or not...

Masterpiece of the set will be the legendary Plague Deviser Marileth - shantay, you stay Marileth. I'm wondering whether I should remove one of the 2 effects (either reset the counter or fully heal) but considering the 10 Fatigue damage you need to take and also the relationship between cost and stats i think it might be ok as is - Reno, was a 6 mana 4/6).

Around this time there will be some cards that synergise with it to help reach the Fatigue checkpoint.

this is the rest of the cards i made so far, ooze Channeler should be rare

    Thanks for feedback guys/guyessess!

I'm worried I'll have to disappoint you a little Laurendor, for I didn't intend my class to focus on healing. It's just that it turned out both of two of healing cards in my Initiate/Hexxer set ended up in first half. And, actualy I have a Justicar-like card prepared for next week already, I am not planning to have more of such cards though, because it may become dangerous to have too many Hero Power buffs.

Ahahha fair enough! No disappointment I’m liking the class for the moment lol

Hey all! I know most of you submitted already, sorry but the Timezone difference didn't help.

    Here's my feedback anyway

    MvonTzeskagrad

I'm liking a lot the direction you are taking with your entry. It feels different from other classes (specially priest) and i think the Spirit Remnant  can offer a lot of synergies in the future. If i was you I would add some mechanic  moving forward to deal with the token in your hand, either transforming them in something, destroy/discard them in you hand to gain benefits or even combining them in bigger Spirit Giant - Cost (1) less for each Spirit Remnant in your hand. Battlecry: Destroy the Spirit Remnant in your hand and gain their attack and Health combined...watchout with you end of turn effect moving forward because Signe could become way to OP

    MrBurger

I'm a sucker for healer classes and I'm really loving the mechanics of your cards. Danse Mortel is definitely my favourite and i hope to see more synergies with healings moving forward. I think you should add some card in the second half of the set that improve the Hero Power like Justicar because  it would open a completely different way to play the class. My suggestion for the weapon would be to add more weapon with 0 attack which loose durability  when you play spells etc, i think would be a nice fit for the class.

    teknician

I wasn't sure about your first legendary but i do like a lot the second one and it's nice to see Kin keyword on it.
