This answer might not be covering the topic fully, but in my understanding a "token" is what is produced by a card, but isn't a card itself. In Hearthstone most often when we use the term "token" we refer to 1/1 and 2/2 minions with no text or abilities, that are spawned by actual cards.
For example, you could say that: Scarab Egg summons three 1/1 tokens upon getting destroyed. Notice that Scarab itself isn't a collectable card you can have in your collection and put in your deck, its only way of existing in the game is by being generated by actual cards.
They said they're just looking for the right patch to implement them in, but that it will also take place before the next expansion.
My guess is that they will either come at the time when Arena will reset to a new format (2 months after the RoS release), or a bit later. If the cards are interesting / any good, chances are they might delay the release to about a month before the next expansion to spread out the content and give people that one last month to experiment and have something fresh to play with.
That's good news then, in a way. When Whizbang was first printed I was really hoping that he would be maintained and kept up-to-date, at least to a point of rotating out (unless Blizzard do make him a Classic legendary on the account of many, many requests).
It's just - and I can't remember specifically what has put me under the impression - I feel like I remember developers commenting something on Zayle, saying how Whizbang was a success and they can keep doing other iterations, which Zayle pretty much is. From then on, I assumed that it was supposed to be the replacement for Whizbang. If not, then I'll consider crafting him.
Just a bit confused about how they will work together. Whizbang has a larger deck pool, Zayle is supposed to have only 5 decks (for Villain classes, I'm assuming), but will they be from the same pool or not? Wish I could say "We'll find out tomorrow", but, unfortunately, it'll be in a month time :/
Either way, thank you for the post, going to read up on those decks that I think Zayle is going to feature.
Sorry for asking a mundane question - but is Whizbang getting updated? Are those just the published deck recipes, that are assumed to be part of his line-up, or it has been officially confirmed that they will be?
I'm asking this because I was thinking of doing Zayle runs upon completing the Adventure in May (don't have Whizbang), and just assumed that he will be the more stable replacement (since the deck pool is much smaller, so potentially less variable in terms of viability).
Fair enough, that statement makes sense if there is no Control archetype for Rogue, but Togwaggle doesn't have to be a strict control card? Seems to me that it can be played just as fine in a Tempo / Midrange deck as a value drop or a big board swing (given you have Preparation in hand, which you might play for Walk the Plank / other spells since Vilespine is rotating out).
The only thing that would make Togwaggle absolutely terrible is if all the Lackey generating cards would end up being so poor that forcing them into your deck would not be worth it for his effect.

I wonder what awesome Mage twinspell will work well with this.

1. IGN pressed "publish" button on their article a bit ahead of time (then took it down).
2. The image attached in the original post is from the Amazon Coins promotion or something - that went up a bit early too.
