Quote from Jacobstephan >>I was wondering if I should be spending so much on packs. I'm 14 and had about 500 dollars from selling my old bike and I'm down too 100. It's been like 5 months. I was wondering if that is too much. I do get mad at myself for spending that much but also am happy with what I have done. The only reason I still do is because I'm a kid and should try to make the most out of my young life. ( I honestly have nothing to save up for).

Andromeda1481 posted a message on Pack buying addictionPosted in: General DiscussionJust try and start to take it a little easy. Don't forget about Arena. When I first started hearthstone I also dumped a bunch of money into the game. But after 500$ your collection should be fairly nice. Once I started to get decent at arena it is definitely a fun way to earn your packs. If gold is your problem it might be worth investing some money to buy a few runs. Stop using your gold to buy packs though and start working on getting good at arena is my recommendation -

LongTimeCreeper posted a message on Why is netdecking so frowned upon?Posted in: General DiscussionThe vast majority of players don't give a shit wether or not the opponent netdecks. It's a vocal minority that thinks their shit don't stink. They get pissy when their "fun" decks get stomped, so they resort to name calling because the loss can't possibly be due to the fact that they suck. No, it's because everyone is playing the same netdeck instead of "playing for fun."
Some people have fun building decks. Others simply like to pilot. Luckily, this game allows both styles to be successful.

Sinti posted a message on Why is netdecking so frowned upon?Posted in: General DiscussionPeople just don't like it because it ends up everyone playing the same, unimaginative decks and it makes the game boring for some. Part of the fun of a game like this is deck building, using your brain, piecing together combo's that opponents won't expect, being a little original. Billy will never be a Master chef. Chefs love to see initiative, imagination, ambition. Those are the ones who end up with chains of Michelin star restaurants. Not the everyday chef in it for the pay packet, cooking by numbers.
All of this is true, but there is one simple reason, why "everyone" netdecks, they want to win, they want to win as much as possible. Simple as that.Even hardcore netdeckers can build their own decks and have fun with them from time to time, but most ppl dont want to "waste time" with their (probably) badly customized decks and try to make them better, they want to have the best possible time/reward ratio, be that for the gold farming, so they can expand their collections or to get to legend etc. Such is the setup of ranked and design of HS.Most ppl simply dont enjoy loosing and who can blame them? -

Clord posted a message on Frozen Throne Adventure?Posted in: AdventuresI just hope they don't ruin Arthas character with it. If there was one adventure that should be serious, it's that one.
Those who us who have played Warcraft 3 and its official expansion, that character is too iconic to become comedian.

Ides_Hatred posted a message on Frozen Throne Adventure?Posted in: AdventuresWill we ever get one? A lot of people speculated it would come out when LoE came out due to the winter/ice theme to it. Some of the legends could be Lord Marrowgar, Sindragosa, and The Ice King.

They are just playing "cover my ass" in these interviews like they always do. It's to be expected they can't be perfect and surely try to pass it off like they did plenty of testing and were surprised it didn't turn out as they had intended.
