RendInFriend posted a message on Limit the number of cards/actions per turn.Posted in: General DiscussionThis thread is full of terrible ideas that boil down to kill archetypes or classes. Limiting the number of actions per turn flat out kills all rogue decks. Not letting cards get reduced to zero ignores that there are plenty of cards that already cost zero and are a core mechanic to rogue. It would also do nothing to warlock this expansion since they generate mana with darkglare and pay in life with stealer. I really feel bad for players with limited decks right now, but there are counters to every deck and the meta is still nascent. Warlock has trouble with early pressure, mage has trouble with damage from hand. There are solutions to the most popular decks right now.

SCWT_FTW posted a message on Limit the number of cards/actions per turn.Posted in: General DiscussionYeah but they already did this. It’s called mana. What they need to do is stop printing so many zero-cost cards or cards that result in infinite draw or generation.

PetiteMouche posted a message on Limit the number of cards/actions per turn.Posted in: General DiscussionNo, it's the game that needs to be limited (animations), not the player (actions).
Edit : And if there ever was a limit, it couldn't be less than 10, or even 12 cards because of Valdris Felgorge.
If you have the cards, you have the board space and you have the mana, you should be able to play these cards no matter what.
Now, I understand your issue isn't really about animation time but about decks that can cycle through their entire deck consistently. My answer to that is simpler than yours : just stop printing insane card draw for every class. Card draw is supposed to cost mana and be inefficient for tempo, they've completely broken that rule in the past 2 or 3 years and it's getting worse.

FortyDust posted a message on Absolute garbage expansionPosted in: General DiscussionQuote from TokiWoTomare >>This is literally said every single time a new expansion drops.
Actually, no. He did mention the lack of interactivity, which is unique to this expansion. Even if it has existed somewhat in the past (and I actually don't recall it ever being a primary complaint), the "solitaire" effect has never been this extreme.
Having a new reason to hate a new expansion is reason enough to create a thread IMO.
And this isn't even as bad as it's going to get. The Rogue OTK hasn't fully exploded yet because a lot of players have not yet gotten the hang of it. Once more people learn how to use it, we'll be wishing for a return to Lunacy Mage.

Not a single Overload, Totem, or Murloc card for Shaman... and no Nature spells....

I wish this was frost spell but seems they didn't want to give any of these "lasts 3 turns" spells a class

Could we NOW unnerf Metamorphosis???

What is class identity

Still this meme from week 1 of Stormwind? When Celestial Druid with Cenarion Ward is all over the meta?

I'm really digging to find a reason to touch this game mode at all

Spring 2022, when the first expansion of that year releases. Ashes of Outland, Scholomance Academy and Darkmoon Faire along with Darkmoon Races will leave standard.

I agree with others in that Warlock quest should be reworked. At least fatigue damage shouldn't be affected by the reward. Stealer of Souls is a huge problem cars that should've never been printed. I hope it will be heavily nerfed, reworked or removed from the game. That, and a proper nerf for Flesh Giant (bump up to 10 mana). There will for sure be a balance patch in 2 weeks but I think an emergency patch should take place before that. I don't think that's likely though.
Other than Warlock I'm pretty satisfied with current meta. Quest Mage is still a bit irritating to face but Incanter's Flow nerf had a psychological effect on players and seems that many do not like to play it anymore. The same goes for Il'gynoth and OTK Demon Hunter, a deck that should've never existed.

Quest Warlock will still absolutely DECIMATE everything after these balance changes. Control will remain dead. The meta will be completely same. Some things just happen a turn later.

This list reeks of "stop complaining about quests!!! the data says they aren't broken so we don't have to nerf them!!"
Kind of cheap if you ask me.
