    FFS!

Let me put it like this then:
    Get real.
To explain it in at least a few more words... what the hell did you expect when you got to choose who you wanted to be yer' champion? Of course if they got knocked out you wouldn't get any packs, that was the entire point! Stop expecting free things and do 'get real'.
I thought the same thing and here's why.  It says explicitly on the website:
    First selection window:October 20, 2016 9:00 AM PDT - October 25, 2016 11:59 PM PDT
    Second selection window:October 31, 2016 12:01 AM PDT - November 3, 2016 11:59 PM PDT
I saw no reason why there should be 2 selection windows if you couldn't change it during the second selection window.
Not a problem, if reading that news make you question that you could change hero, you go on playhearthstone and when you see that the hero you choose is still there and there are no options anywhere, well you understand that is a promotion for who didn't chose in firts place.

posted a message on Expansion's Launch

Late december, not to milk money but because they don't want to have a 6 month meta.

EDIT: I took for granted that the 1st expansion in 2017 will be out on may, but maybe they can move the release to april in this way they will have a equal 4 months among each one of the 3 set; a reson more to think that this set will be released at the end of december.

An awesome trailer for Gadzetan City, followed my an interview with Mike Donais saying they have some new cards which will make priest playable again...

...for example, a 4 mana Entomb that only can target your own creatures but lets you draw a card.

Let's the LULing begin. I honestly don't know all the drama about Donais because I focus on other things about the game, I just know the chitchat "Donais hate priest" never digged into it though. Be positive man come on (or don't!) priest will have for sure a couple of good cards but seems difficult that will be enough to place priest at the power level of pre-standard. I think Paldin and Shaman will be the classes that get more options because of Murlocs, but I can be totally wrong it's just a speculation based on the fact that the new set seems will have a big murloc presence and these are the only two classes that have Murlocs class cards, actually shaman has only everyfin is awesome compared to the 3 paladin class cards.

So tomorrow we will have some revelation. I honestly can even expect that they don't announce the whole expansion; I mean is a really remote probability thinking that the expansion will come at the very end of december (my ssupposition) because the connection with the next set will bean  "acceptable" 5 month of the smaee meta instead of six if they release the expansion at the beggining of december. Eventually 2 months will past from the announcement to the release; this sound strange for many reason: first the last set (Karazhan) was released after less than 1 month from the first leaks; the quantity of material that blizzard toss out in the past weeks about the new set call for an announcement. So at the end I don't know to think. Seems like they are gonna announce the set and we have to wait maybe a bit too much for the release.

But those are just my thoughts, I wanted to know what do you exepect guys for the announcement; it's odd that Ben Brode is not gonna be phisically present but he have recorded "a couple of lines" . Personally I expect them to focus heavily on the new mechanic and maybe spoil just a few cards only around that mechanic.

posted a message on BlizzCon 2016 Player deck lists in Final stage: thoughts

For what I saw Hunter is there to queue against CW and Shamans. Look at the switch amnesiac did from face to mid Hunter.

The overall statistics are clear, but these need to be analyzed. For example druid has a low WR but we must consider that is the class that played the most Mirror matches so that statistic has to be read in a total different way; and I saw someone wrote that druid need perfect draws or it gonna lose; not true. Classic Maly Druid (no yogg, no moonglade, 2 feral rage, harrison or thalnos) has a lot of starting options. Let's say that you must have an orrible starting hand (no ramp at all) and continue to draw bad, to get rekt. Rogue is the real wild card, it could do "miracles" more often than not.

Good lineup for me are: Shaman, Druid, Hunter, Tempo Mage, Rogue. Or Shaman, Warrior, Tempo Mage, Druid, Rogue.

    Quote from yugi467 >>

I literally spent 4 hours grinding in Hearthstone with midrange shaman to go from rank 12 to 5... I only got to 9... Do you guys think rankedis too hard?

Yes rank up had become a little harder. Obviously depends what skill level you have. But let's say that an average player will struggle more climbing because of the mid shaman mirror; if you don't have a good skill level you will probaly have a 49% to 51% win ratio in this matchup; then you have to add that everyone knows mid shaman by hearth so your opponents will play correctly even if they are not such good players.

posted a message on is buying classic packs worth

If you can use your collection to make 90% of the ladder decks you can consider to buy classic packs to get the value dust out of the cards nerf. You must consider that at least for the next two standard cycles they will nerf cards from classic set. So let's say that the best thing is exploit the promotion they did last christmas discounting the cost of 40 classic packs.

posted a message on Lifecoach collaboration for a new set.

For an objectiive point of view this is not a good PR move. The game is for all the people and this can easily move the opinion of the community toward a feeling of unfairness.

Personally then I like this fact for many reasons. This tell that Blizzard is considering that Hearthstone will survive in a long term thanks also , not only , to the esport, and this make sense because is supported by viewer datas; Hearthstone in the last months has the second best viewer/number of events ratio and growing: data . And let's add that the visibility and incomes of esport scene is growing , excuse me , as fuck. Then Lifecoach is a deep analitical person and more his company develope analtycs softwares for poker environment (you get the fox here? creating connection to open personal chances? ) ; this means that if Blizzard ,as experiment, develope the set mostly with that analytic aspect then will have the time to see what is the results, and this seems the only way to really understand how the game will change.

What I don't like is some sort of unfairness. I try to be clear: Lifecoach could have the chance to understand , even little nuances of how the Hearthstone engine works and find some answers that many of the players can't get in their HS experience. This little nuances could be a great advantage anywhere but in the competitive environment much more; is a "I know something that you can't" situation and in this there is the unfairness. This last point is just a reflection, it could happen or not but it's worth to spoke it out.

posted a message on Lifecoach collaboration for a new set.

From Reddit . He offered blizzard to let him help creating a new expansion and fixing metagame for competitive play. Blizzard accepted - they invited him to Blizz Headquarter for 1 week. Lifecoach will probably not play competitive in the beginning when this expansion/new meta hits live, because of that. He said he is hoping that blizz will listen to him and try to fix competitive instead of focusing on "fun game mechanic" aka. RNG and etc.

posted a message on IF the next expansion could bring a new class...

Boy a new class chance is not slim is not existent, why you want to hurt yourself. Blizzard is still figuring out how to balance the game, they don't have any time to introduce a new class that will inevitably bring caos with all other existent class and neutral cards.

    Quote from Troylus_True >>

I made a short response video to Ben Brode's Yahoo interview about the role of luck in Hearthstone.

I'd love to know your thoughts!

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjuzWQuh7tI

You explained very clearly the random-skill range that would be optimal when considering to print a card. I personally think that Yogg-Saron has been really healty for the future of hearthstone as the final example of what is not compatible with the game. I appreciate team5's work but probably some of their Ideas were literally for the LULs , to make some things balanced and few pure fun. I have the feeling that they have definetly understood that they have to re-think how to put fun cards in the game; the fun and wacky stuff will be always a pillar of the game because this is team5 spirit and it's also one of the main reason why Hearthstone is so popular. At the end people who can explain their thoughts , as you did, are good for the community.

posted a message on Card Nerf - Yogg-Saron, Hope's End

Honestly the nerf is fair. Won't see anymore play in competitive and on ladder will be really rare. Now is just a card for the LULS and  a heavy hit to Trolden. I'm happy with the Yogg overall and  the first reason is because team5 had the chance to understand what ,a large share of the community , don't want to see in this game. Obviously there will be always mixed opinions but this is the norm also for other things in this society (look at the fans out of the justice court cheering for serial killers). Personally I look at the game for his competitive aspect and I'm not so openminded toward opinions that are out of this environment, this because who play competitive see the very core of the game and put the emotion aside when it comes to make considerations on power levels. It's funny that after all the bitching on Yogg, this poll is slighlty versus the nerf, but probably many, not all, are trolls here for the LULs.
