FinalFortune posted a message on Can't Win with RenolockPosted in: WarlockActually I think a lot of people are really wrong when they say the deck should always be Life Tapping on T2 and T3, and I don't mean playing a minion on T2 and T3 instead of Life Tapping but just passing the turn back to the Pirate Warrior. Those couple points of life can be the difference between a T5 and a T6 kill and some times you just have to pass it back in order to live long enough to play out your Hellfire without killing yourself or getting to play your Reno Jackson on T6.
So seriously ask yourself whether or not you need to Life Tap at all at the start of the game based on what's on their board and in your hand, because once I understood Life Tapping on T2 was getting me killed on T5 my win rate went up. And that's one of the reasons I love the deck as much as I do, there is no obvious play.

Maukiepaukie posted a message on Afraid priest is going to be the new shamanPosted in: General DiscussionQuote from Maukiepaukie >>So it's not hard to understand Blizzard is going to buff priest after the Purify outrage and general opinion on priest. Blizzard is a smart company and they understand they'll get bad rep if priest remains the worst of the worst.
Why do I expect this? Do you happen to know a similar case? I do: Shaman. Shaman was absolute garbage for a pretty long time, so Blizzard decided to buff shaman and now it's outright broken. I'm simply afraid Blizzard is going to make the same mistake.
''One class has to be the best and now it's priest's time to shine'' To already answer that question, I'm not talking about a class being the best. I'm talking about a class being broken. And professional Hearthstone players agree shaman is broken, so there's not much room for discussion there.
Given that "there is no much room for discussion here" . I'm here just to give the statement that I'm not gonna discuss.Waiting to see a new post every single day til the expansion speaking about this argument that I can't discuss.Do you really argue shaman is not broken? -

jmxd posted a message on [OFFICIAL]The new expansion will bring a deck with the decision making level of Grim Patron/Freeze Mage/Miracle roguePosted in: General DiscussionNot warrior but rogue. Gang Up patches twice, play Southsea Captain, bring out 6 patches that are now 2/2, play 2x Cold Blood on one of them and hit face for 20. You need 5 mana to pull of a 20 dmg swing.I highly doubt that this will be the main deck for Patches. It's a fun combo but is highly limiting on how you can play. Basically you can't play any pirate until you have the combo. It's a fun Trolden clip though.Patches is just a free 1/1 and pirate activator, plus it allows you to basically play with a 29 card deck. It's a very good card that will be auto-include in every deck that runs pirates. -

Skyi101 posted a message on Is HS too simple?Posted in: General DiscussionSimple is subjective; you can have a low skill level and find the game simple or you can have a pretty high skill level and find difficult plays. You can tell the game is simple when you play against the best players and you win 70% of these games IMO. There are more difficult game? Sure this doesen't make HS objectively simple. This is a game easy to approach and difficult to master and this is probably the reason why many people play it. I can make an example out of the celestial invitational today match eloise vs. Lifecoach. Lifecoach is objectively one of the very best HS players; today he had to play a format wich consisted in standard + naxxramas. Long story short he lost 9-3; this tell that for him HS is pretty simple but when he can't predict the meta there are some issues and the game suddenly become pretty complicated.
Mostly agree with this. Naxx is a good indicator IMO because of the absurd amount of death rattles card sequencing gets insane very quickly. The longer the match the more potential there is.You can spew your hand with simple choices and win, this much is true. You can also think out your turns and become knowledgeable about cards, sequences and lines in a game and increase your win rate. Bad mulligans and first few draws while challenging do not mean defeat. Falco's analogy demonstrates the opposite nicely, even a top player when placed in a more varied situation has to play more by gut then knowledge. The patterns and outcomes are no longer visible. New players or those who do not learn all the classes and potential decks play by gut and believe my hand > your hand ='s win. Right now is the most difficult meta we've seen to date since there are more viable ladder decks than ever. Thusly, gut plays become more frequent. Overall it's a good thing. As the game gets more complicated it makes it less of a requirement for knowledge > instinct. However, at the highest levels of play, Masters if you will, their knowledge will always precede instinct. Outside of rng and even then like poker you calculate the odds and play risk vs reward ( eg. Not chess).Whenever the game get updates or xpacs all players go through a new learning curve to some degree. Often referred to as an adjustment or new meta.I think this fundamental in HS is what makes it so addictive, fun, frustrating and rewarding at times. Overall making it stand out from numerous other card games and keeping us all regularly on the edge of our chairs. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Lich King. But honestly with a short collection is all situational. The question is what's your goal in Hearthstone? Is 100% fun, climbing or a mix of both? I give you an advice from my perspective: if you care about climbing just wait for the meta to stabilize (I know it's not an easy wait) then craft the best deck; what does this mean to relate to your question? Let's say you craft the Lich King that is objectively a great card, but your collection can't support to craft more than one deck that can well use the card, suddenly you just spent 1600 dust that doesn't give you the flexibility to build a wide range of decks.

It's because NA players need more time to elaborate the cards. Consider that in NA they use to input every single card text into text to speech programs because they have issues to understand things only reading them. So don't be so angry weak people have the right to come first (say your girlfriend) .
The above is a joke and is not intended to take it seriously.
