dont get me wrong, im not saying it doesnt work, im just saying its not optimal. and by optimal i mean over the meta, not over the class or even over the deck. theres not much more somebody can do with the new quest shaman in standard. the faster versions are simply outclassed by elemental shaman, so this slower version seems fair, despite 24-10 being something i think doesnt accurately represent the deck quality
sorry but i just cant believe you did that in legend. this is just to slow for the meta. its a value deck, almost like a control one. theres no space for such thing nowadays, unfortunately
The deck works around having multiple win condition: Mecha'thun, Nomi, Neeru, Jaraxxus. It also abuse the Highlander package to supply survability and value amoung the mill/automill archtype.
Therefore Mecha'Thun may be discarded, but its not the only way to win anyway.
Being testing this deck since yesterday. I just dont have nomi, but it fits very nicely imo. Taelen pulling her instead of blackhorn may sometimes be an issue, but not really something to worry about cus around half of my games i cant even play blackhorn just cus the deck draws so fast. most of the time i play blackhorns its on curve, so taelen is not pulling it anyway, in fact its the opposit.
you should try it to see what im saying. this deck is not a standard deathrattle DH with a random c'thun. its a turbo draw c'thun deck which also manage to have a fairly good board presence throughout the game. i normaly get to fatigue while my opponent has still around 15~12 cards in theirs deck.
i have a version of it for standard, very weeker because no zephrys, but i use zai in zephrys place. you may wonder why and i tell you: only to copy c'thun when i get it in my hand. seems virtualy impossible to play go so late into a game, buts its actually not. yesterday i played 3 cthuns against a priest only to win on the last one. i had only 2 cards left. 1 was cthun, and he knew, the other zai. when i played it he couldnt believe it.
anyway, ill have to test the potencial inconsistency of pulling nomi from taelen when not needed, but for now thats the only theorycrafted part. apart from it the deck works and is pretty fun. got 9-0 yesterday in gold wild, than lost 3 games in a row.
Pretty easily replaced by Mindflayer Kaahrj or any other tech/tempo card to play on curve. I think The nameless one is just great againts Prime warlock
I used to have Reno on it but i felt like it was hard to be use cause it cant be discounted, except for Tentacle, so i ended messing up with the combos. also, its very unlikely to get to turn 10. I think it all comes down to how you play puzzle box. You can either discount it asap when you have the naga, use it next turn and hope for the best, or, as i do, use it as a last resource when you lose the board hard and dont have any freeze stuff anymore, trying to get the board cleared. It usually works since, in my experience, there are much more cards that deal damage and clear minions then card that actually buff them. Another good tip is to not use puzzle box with you hand full cause you normally add cards to it. I wonder if i could fit a solarian, but it disenchanted it last nerf :p

lol, sorry, mb. It used to run C'Thun, but now a days meta is just inappropriate for control
