posted a message on Proof that Tickatus is balanced

There are a bunch of people who would like to play things like control warrior or other classes as control, that don't play it not because of all the aggro, but because autolosing to warlock is not a fun experience tho

In the real world, people watch content creators they like based on their skill and personality, regardless of race, age and gender, and don't need to feel "represented" by similar looking humans everywhere and everytime in life, in particular in a damned hearthstone event.

Except, they DO. Representation matters. Seeing people that look like you, feel like you, talk like you matters and creates a sense that this is a space for you too and not a space only reserved for other groups.

Well that's a pretty racist / sexist way to behave.

Because let's be real, if a group of men came to an event with mostly women and cried about how they don't have any connection to the people here because they don't "look like them", that's what would be the comments. Here, because it's women that can't fell a connection to other people just because they have a penis, it's totally acceptable and should be accomodated for.

It's a rather common rule of hs, that whenever a spell deals multiple instances of damage, all the deaths are resolved once the spell finishes casting. It works the same way with magic missiles for exemple

posted a message on Reckless Apprentice's mechanics are inconsistent

After playing some HP mage, I figured some annoying things with Reckless Apprentice

Playing it will consume the "buff" from Tour Guide, considering you hero powered. However, you will not be able to profit from a Manafeeder Panthara 's battlecry.  It gotta be either one or the other, either it considers you hero powered, either it considers you didn't

I don't think Ben Brode is some kind of demigod, but it’s clear the game was developed with a lot of love and care, year's of balancing and tweaking went into getting the game to match Team 5’s vision. That has gone now, 3 expansions and 3 mini sets per year with an ever expanding list of balancing problems added each time, all the time ignoring the fundamentals of the original game. All the AMA's in the world won’t change that.

Yeah, undertaker meta, patron meta, grand tournament being a useless expansion barring from 3 cards, etc..

There was surely a lot of love and care and years of balancing and tweaking, sure

On the topic of balance/design "whining", people figured the game becomes more enjoyable once blizzard takes the game like any other multiplayer game - where things that aren't right get balance patched fast enough to not ruin the game for too long.

And of course a lot of people see this as an opportunity to shit on others and try to feel intellectually superior by calling them whiners. Whining about people whining is still whining

Sword of the fallen and refreshing spring are the only things on your list that need toning down imo.

The problem with players is they need to get over building the greediest decks possible. People get annoyed at pen flinger because it goes face a lot in the late game, but that’s 100% your own fault for building such a greedy, reactive control deck.

The same can be said about tick. Tick is absolutely useless against aggro/tempo decks, and only really punishes decks that “do nothing.” I love seeing the posts of people that complain about tick, they’ll link their priest deck, with like 26 reactive cards and only c’thun as their win con, and they wonder why their opponents have time to do all the things.

People need to build their decks more proactively. I personally love tick because he keeps these players in check. The players that build decks that are designed to make games go on for 30+ min.

Tickatus decks are the epitome of "do nothing" decks. 27 reactive cards and Tick, Y'shaark and Jaraxxus. So you're saying Tickatus counters the exact type of deck Tickatus is put in.

Sorry for the double post, but I think it relevant to this story that the third or fourth post on this thread is a blue post warning us against "victim blaming".

I know full well the "victim" being referenced is the accuser, and I'm fully aware of the history of blame-shift in rape cases and other horror stories from the early days of prosecuting rape and sexual assault cases, but nevertheless, I find it sad that we have no idea who the victim is in this situation.

While I don't have any problem avoiding victim blaming, I actually include both parties in that concept since it is a very real possibility that Zalae is the victim here.  It's disappointing that no such enforcement appears for that sort of victim blaming.

Yeah, pretty funny you can crap on zalae all you want on a forum, but suggest the accuser is lying out of spite and the mods could go after you. Seems fair in a yet unresolved case

posted a message on About deck of lunacy

Especially since most high-cost spells right now are ones that summon or buff boards, it's pretty obnoxious as you feel you're playing against token druid (BIG token).

Warlock and paladin are annoying and strong yeah, but they aren't 100% unpredictable. You can know on a turn what they can do, and I do find some fun playing against paladins secrets. But lunacy mage, who just plays Expendable Performers into Pride's Fury, is pretty unfun.
