Such an awesome idea thoroughly ruined because they weren't smart enough to remove Legendary cards. Quests can be done multiple times, infinite Renos is a thing and of course the default "discover" card that you get when you try to draw is a "spell" so yeah, mage. Got my pack when my first opponent thought aggro was an option, got paired against Quest Mage that well never going to do that again.

How they can mess up something as simple as a brawl so consistently is beyond me.

posted a message on Changes on Arena : Old cards????!!!!

It is possible that the player still had an arena deck from prior to the change. If they just haven't played in over a year that would be true.

Choicestone: Whenever you would draw a card, you discover a card from your deck instead. Could be randomized decks or build-your-own.

15/15: Build a deck with exactly 15 minions and 15 spells (this would exclude weapons or hero cards)

The Power of 3: Build a deck of 10 unique cards, the system gives you three of each, no Legendaries (to avoid Quest, DK and Patches issues).

Together Apart: Both players' decks are merged into a single 60 card deck. Both players draw from that unified deck.

    Naga Sea Hunter

I wrote the rules text this way so that even if a card had its cost reduced to below 3 would be increased back up to 3. This would be great card for control decks. Coin out on turn two and any aggro deck is going to be slowed down to a crawl. And it's a semi-Naga Sea Witch counter. Hope you like it.

Edit: Fixed templating. I had used MTG's "Until the end of game". Changed to "For the rest of the game"

A flavorful and powerful entry this week. Swap hands, spend your remaining mana playing their cards, give them back what is left over.

I ran 2 Armorsmith and 2 Loot Hoarders instead of the Bring It On and 1 Scaled Dragon. Got the combo on turn 11 I believe, and it was a cakewalk from there. Between the Monkey and a Webweave I got from his 1 mana 2/3, that held off 15 damage while I looked for Kel. It is strange, not attacking into that 2/6 with a 1/2 Poisonous creature, but you have to be patient. While the 2/6 is on the board, he won't play cards. Nice to finally have an easy one. Thanks.

Stealing a Class DK is AMAZING. There is no downside to playing them. In one game against a Demon Handlock, I got the Warlock DK. I played Anduin DK first, then when I'd stabilized the board, I played the Warlock DK. As I had more cards left in my deck than he did, and I was neutralizing his hero power with my own, he could do nothing but concede. You even stay as their DK own the victory screen. Fun times.

I have been playing this deck a ton and when it works, it wins every time, and when it doesn't, it loses pathetically. Any turn 3 or 4 Barnes is an auto win, but you're often left looking at the wrong cards for the situation, and sometimes even throwing cards away to avoid burning cards. I went from one game dominating an Aggro Druid with 4 Statues in a row, to conceding on turn 4 against Pirate Warrior because I had done nothing and no cards worth playing.

I started with the stock list above, but I have removed one Pint-Sized and the Devour Mind for a Greater Healing Potion and the Anduin DK. That DK is very important as it wins the mirror and gives you a chance against Jade Druid (he just won me a game at 2 life staring down a 15/15 and a 16/16 idol).

This is a very difficult deck to pilot and it will frustrate you in many games, but yeah, rolling Liches and Statues turn after turn does make it worth it sometimes.

It's probably not a great idea to get rid of ice block since that kills basically every mage deck except elemental

I'm sure that Ice Block is in the top 3 cards that have a chance to move the to HoF. Ice Block is in every Mage deck right now because the Arcanologist/Valet combo makes it so easy and valuable to play. Prior to this meta it was largely a combo card for Freeze Mage. Neither the aggro Mech Mage, nor Tempo Mage (both top decks of their time) played it. Even if you took it out, Mage would remain a top 3 class due to the quality of their spells and card generation.

posted a message on [POLL] Shadowreaper Anduin

I crafted Anduin for my Kazakus Priest deck and it is an amazing card in that deck - really takes it to a new level. Unfortunately, Druid decks are currently on a different plane. They'll just stomp you. So if you're tight on dust, don't bother.

Nice to see that they finally made this card. So much meme deck potential here. While it likely won't be top tier, its a great addition to the game. Thumbs up.

It doesn't say a 'copy'  of any secret in your deck...but it doesnt say it draws and plays them from your deck either..

It's written exactly the same way as Mysterious Challenger which did draw them and put them into play from your deck.

Unplayable. By turn 8 a Mage will likely have less than half of their deck left, meaning hitting 5 secrets with this would be very, very unlikely. Mysterious Challenger was awesome/broken because even if you only hit one secret, you still got a 6/6 for 6.

That said, I think that this is a great, much-needed nerf to Cabalist's Tomb and the other spell generating cards.

posted a message on New Priest Card Reveal - Devour Mind

ENOUGH ALREADY. This obsession with cards that create cards and stealing from your opponent's deck is just absurd. This screams "We've run out of ideas" and we're just 6 full expansions in! If this was released a year from now, after all of the current deck theft cards had left the format then it would probably be fine, but now Priest can play cards on turns 1-5 that generate other cards, mostly from your deck. How is that balanced? If Priest becomes top of the meta I'm going to build the worst possible deck filled with unplayable cards and just confuse them until they win.
