posted a message on No one is gona say anything about Libram paladin with new nerfs?

because libram decks are pretty balanced. 0 mana libram buff card is perhaps pretty strong when you think of it alone, however, that 0 mana card is just a part of a set. You need the libram cost reduction cards to make it cost 0, then you add the other libram spells to make use of the cost reduction guys as well, hence, they are also quite useful spells: heal, taunt, clear.

My point is; you need to consider the libram cards as a whole set-package and not alone. And the whole set is quite balanced. Would an infinite +1 +1 buff be OP in a token druid deck? pirate warrior deck? murloc shaman deck? Absolutely.. But the libram package stays as a control package with balanced power.

That said, the libram package limits the deck building strategy of whichever archetype you put them into, which makes them even more balanced. You might probably include Crystology in your deck in order to tutor your 1 mana librams. Probably Liadrin in order to get even better value. But what happens when you are facing aggro and you draw  Libram of Hope   Lady Liadrin   or even the 4-5 taunt  in your starting hand.. This is called deck balance. You dont directly get your 0 cost books at the start of the game. You need to do certain things in order to get to the point where you have a good synergy, which is the idea of most decks in hearthstone.

i think the mechanic is just fine. Sometimes rng feels very unfair especially when youre playing against Rogue. but thats just rng and they couldve drawn useless cards instead of dq Alex and kronx. You never know what specific cards are on top of your deck and its totally rng.

However, I think the difference between 2nd upgrade and 3rd upgrade is so big. For example in priest:  Destroying 2 random enemies vs destroying 4 and equiping a 5-2 weapon is big. Maybe that could be slightly nerfed like destroy 3?

If you put an addition on your house, you can use cull and scrap lumber, and get your know-it-all car insurance salesman cousin to help build it. Or, you can hire a talented carpentry company to do it. One will increase your house value, and the other will look like a Picasso death trap. If you can't afford an addition, that's fine too. Not everyone is entitled to one.

what is this unnecessary out of topic comment about?? lol

Really? Hm... It's a literary device called metaphor.

If you pay for a solo adventure (like Galkaronds Awakening) you get a set of cards, only available from said adventure, which will contain a few cards relevant to the meta.

If you get a free solo adventure, you get a golden version of an uncraftable legendary you already have (plus a few packs offered through quests involving the adventure.)

Sorry I wasn't clear. My point is people complain about playing a video game regardless. They need to be rewarded for playing free things, and will often tantrum if they're not properly compensated for playing a free game, or if they're asked to pay for it.

yeah dude makes sense now i didnt get it at first. Thought you were making an irrevelant argument. Cheers

"Your opponent left" rage quit - why ?

It happens quite often that I have epic games,
switching side games, when my opponent seems to have the advantage, and then back again to me. Or vice versa.
And so on multiple times per game.

I sincerely do not understand the rage quit in these cases, some ppl do it.

For me even if I lose I say to my self and I mean it wow, what a spectacular game we had.

I do not generalize, because in most cases the opponent feels the same even if I win. I can deduct that they enjoyed the game.

But I wonder what people that "rage quit" think after a game like this. Maybe some of you can answer :)

A note: I play arena quite often because seems always fresh(er), most of the games like this are there, let us not talk about standard meta once again.

What if your game was the one that ended his arena run? I can certainly see how someone would get tilted enough to say "fuck it" and just altf4.

hey OP i think i just found ur opponent kekw

    Quote from Nicodemus >>

    1) These are either very experienced people who count the cards and know for a fact that they have no outs and the opponent does or

    2) they are inexperienced players who think they know more than they really do and are incorrectly conceding or

    3) they players that are trying to ladder quick and don't want to take the time to finish a long game on a 20% win chance.

    All 3 are possible really.

or 4 - Opponent disconnected, pc froze etc.

This happens to me quite often during games because i have an old pc. There has been many times where  the game was at its peak and both of us were making powerful moves.. then my pc shuts itself off..   Im pretty sure my opponent thought "oh i just made him rage quit lol"   but not really

posted a message on An Outlandish Recipe - Tavern Brawl #262

absolute trash tavern brawl. Only reason one might wanna play this tavern might be that they wanna try have fun with pure libram paladin and thats it.

As mentioned above, Pure paladin is the only good deck and by far the best, and those who play this tavern without looking up the decks from internet and select, and therefore picking a different class other than paladin will simply waste their time. If you didnt research beforehand or picked Paladin by luck, then you can only succeed if you encounter a Paladin opponent and realize you need to play Paladin as well for the pack. And that process will simply waste your time.

They should really show you the decklists during the class choosing phase or something or not make these kind of "select a class" taverns when there is only one single playable class

Taverns like this make me believe that Devs actually think "how can we make players play a tavern only once and absolutely hate it during the process?"

If you were a new player, you wouldn't be entitled to a new deck

What do you mean? The free deck is offered to both the new players as well as the returning players.
