The game is far from being balanced. When you can "go face" all the time, and still win. Then this game needs a change. To not touch Rogue or hunter is a big misstep. Is it just me that don't want all of this temposhit?

Alp2760 posted a message on New Priest Rare Card Revealed - ChronobreakerPosted in: NewsI don't know why so many people are so insistent on comparing cards with historical ones and not assessing its individual value.
Everything is 'oh its X on a stick' or 'it's just X for more mana and with a body' Yeah, no shit, there are a limited number of effects cards can do and some effects such as damaging minions, hitting face, healing your hero will be on multiple cards but this habit of saying its just something else but then listing several differences between the two cards just seems so asinine.
Just because it does 3 damage doesn't make it 'duskbreaker for X mana with a deathrattle instead of a battle cry that doesn't hit your own minions'. Once you've started listing multiple differences it isn't the same at all, is it? It has a deathrattle for a start, can be brought back with psychopomp or other res tools. This looks like a great tool for res priest and can potentially really punish just flooding the board with tokens and can do so multiple times.
Anyway, rant over.

Really good post!
I much prefer playing control-vased decks too and have found the new meta frustrating. Never thought of the pc to mobile issue but that makes total sense.
A few other thoughts to throw in the mix:
- Scholomance academy (and to a lesser degree Ashes of Outland) had a big focus on low cost but powerful cards so the meta shifted towards a faster more aggressive style. We may be stuck with this for a while but it is swings and roundabouts so hopefully it'll shift back to control in the next expansion
- I actually hit legend with control yoink priest prior to the new expansion but that has died a death since. Saying that the meta is still evolving all the time. There may be a viable control option out there
- Smorc Demon Hunter is a problem as most control decks can't counter relentless damage from weapons to the face. For me, the most OP card in the deck is actually Blade Dance as it is such efficient removal for 2 mana. The new lifesteal guy is gross but its the fact they can remove multiple taunts so easily which really sucks.

A differing opinion doesn't make someone narrow minded or their input meaningless.

We're in the most OP meta as all six expansions are still in play. Once they rotate out the power level will drop and people who enjoy OP decks will complain about how slow/weak/unfun/underpowered the meta is. The cycle is always the same.
Streamers leaving isn't necessarily a bad thing as it allows new streamers to come through.
And for those slagging off the developers - the level of content and communication, as well as the willingness to change things quickly if required is the best it has ever been.

See this kind of statement gets on my wick. Brian Kibler loves RNG and he's a pretty good player. It's a CARD GAME so RNG is fundamental. The best players understand and take advantage of this. A massive amount of cards in the game have some sort of random effect - do you not play them?
Some of us like to have fun and there's nothing like a bit of RNG chaos to help add some spice to the mix.
I get that a lot of players don't like RNG. That's fair enough but don't make broad statements about all rng lovers being bad players. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to legend with control dragon, elemental shaman last season and that was full of RNG. Haters can suck Hagatha's RNG tits

Can we all stop using the fucking 'r' word and calling people out for voicing an opinion, please.
This should probably be in the salt thread but you don't have to start throwing abuse ffs.

In agreement that the amount and power of current aggro decks has severely limited the chance to play dragons. You just don't have time to play a large but slow minion against decks which are too busy smashing your face to care (pirate warrior) or often ignore the state of the board entirely (face hunter).
Whilst there are 'viable' control decks which include dragons none of them are particularly strong.
What is frustrating is the opinion that someone must be a 'bad player' if they voice concerns about aggro. I hate aggro, it is boring as shit to play and play against and just doesn't suit my tastes BUT I appreciate it takes skill to play and is a legitimate style. It is frustrating when it dominates a meta though.
So please don't give people stick because they are frustrated by aggro. And don't be dicks and start attacking someone's opinions which they are legitimately allowed to voice.

I'd like it if they changed the rules so there was flexibility for people who want to play fun value or meme decks to play similar minded people. Or created a 'practice' mode for people who want to learn and improve with their ladder decks.
Casual is awash with tier one net decks and aggro which is frustrating when you want to mess about.

This. Countess Ashmore is so good on paper - targeted, specific draw which gets your combo pieces and thins your deck. Yet it has barely seen play apart from when mech paladin was a thing and even then is wasn't in the most popular builds. Just too slow I guess.

Fuck you Quest Galakrond Shaman. I don't know what's worse - the Tories and that fucking excuse of a man Boris winning the election or queuing into your fifth shaman in a row.
Also what is it with these aggro 'me go face' twats consistently trying to beat you down whilst bming constantly.
Where are all the fun control and value deck players?!
