That's pretty much me. I shake my head and laugh, accuse the RNG of smoking the two dollar crack (not even the good crack), and move on.

    Quote from airalert3 >>
I just explained to you why your precious "Active" playstyle is duller than paint drying, and why "sitting back and waiting" is actually having to use your brain and make decisions instead of matching mana crystals to mana crystals. But hey, do whatever makes you happy, just don't misrepresent it and call others salty when you're clearly butthurt your braindead playstyle got called out for what it is.
Whatever, dude. It's clear that you have a very passive personality and will never understand the joy of taking the first step and leading the dance.
Carry on sitting back in your chair, watching, and reacting to what someone else does, if you enjoy it. There's absolutely nothing wrong with your playstyle. Just your attitude. I bet you're a joy to talk about music and movies and suchlike with. I guess anyone who doesn't like precisely the same thing as you is dull, braindead, etc. there too.
And I think anyone can read in this exchange which one of us is calm and polite and which one of us is raging, and thus infer who the "butthurt" one is.

For the most part, I find acting to be more fun than reacting.

So playing an aggressive deck is more fun, for me, than playing a control deck that aims to respond to whatever my opponent does.

However, I find combo decks to be more fun still, because you're acting and the action you take is more fun than the action you take with aggro. :-)

Really? Playing control is infinitely more complex and interesting than aggro. Do I SW:P this minion right now, or let him get some face damage on me and try to bait him to play into a board clear? Can I play a minion that appears non-threatening this turn so he doesn't trade, and I can develop my board whilst simultaneously encouraging him to play into a board clear on a later turn? Finding ways to correctly utilize the tools in your deck has some depth to it. What exactly do you find fun about "Hmm, I have 2 mana crystals... and... HEY! Wait a minute! This card costs 2 mana crystals! Maybe I should.... hurrr... durrr.... play this card! Me smart! Hurrr...". Rinse and repeat for turn 3, 4 and so on. Like explain to me how that could be fun.
Well you complete failed to understand.
Acting. Reacting. I like to be the one setting the pace and seeing if my opponent can respond to it, rather than the passive player sitting back and waiting to see what my opponent does, so I can choose my counter.
You're also clearly so uncontrollably salty about having lost a game to an aggro deck that you didn't even read the third sentence in my post.

posted a message on When will people realize that there'll always be something to bitch about?

There will always be whining in PvP games because a huge section of the playerbase are psychologically ill-suited to playing a game where there is a winner and a loser.

If they can't win all the time, they get angry.

Really, they'd be happier if they stayed far away from competitive games and sports and stuck to passive hobbies like reading, watching TV, or listening to music.

I find it hard to have respect for the kind of people who resort to playing top tier aggro because they aren't skilled or considerate enough to pilot something more interactive. And sure you may be having fun by maximising your winrate by using broken early game cards and combos, but the vast majority of your opponents on your way up the ladder will see your games as a bad experience.

And I find it had to have respect for yet another salty whiner who thinks that the way he likes to play is the right way, and every other way is wrong.
Newsflash: spending half an hour losing to your slow-ass control deck is a bad experience for plenty of people, just as spending three minutes losing to a brutal face assault is for you.

I'm not saying Kripp (or any other streamer/poster/dev/etc for that matter) is 100% correct, but it's hard to argue with the points he and many others have been making lately on this topic.
If he's got points to make, let's see him make them in coherently argued text, not a 20+ minute video that serves no purpose other than making him ad revenue.

posted a message on So where are all the Aggro decks?

Every time I've looked over my opponent history, there has always been way less aggro than people complain about.

Something about losing to a fast deck just brings out the salt in people. Happens twice and they start thinking 90% of their opponents are aggro.

    Quote from user_711705 >>
    Quote from Ehronatha >>

It's called gloating.  No, the trend is not new.  Basically it's just the other player's way of letting you know that they have a bad character.

Just saying the use of this particular emote is trendy now, and not only that i see it on my opponents but it's a cross continental thing now, a bit curious how and why it spreads.
Anyway, as expected, it seems this triggered a lot of people, but instead of some self-reflection they choose prove my point.
I'm sure it's because some popular streamer(s) did it. That's usually how these things spread. Can't be sure, since until someone discovers the secret of immortality I'm not going to waste two minutes of my precious time on this earth watching a stream of someone else playing a game rather than playing it myself.

posted a message on What play style do you like the most?

Combo! My all-time favourite deck (which has never been particularly powerful, but is unbeatable when the pieces come together right) is the Shaman deathrattle abuse deck, with Ancestral Spirit and Reincarnate used to supercharge powerful deathrattle minions, and Kel'Thuzad as the icing on the cake.

I've also gotten a lot of enjoyment out of Patron Warrior and Miracle Rogue (which I would have called a combo deck, I've never heard of this phrase "tech deck" before, I thought "tech" cards were specific individual cards added to a deck to counter a particular type of opponent?)
