I say 200k dust :P... pure random answer to be honest. What do you think? Or have you already made the calculation?
P.S After thinking on it for a little bit more than 10 seconds I decided I should change my answer to around ~700K dust...

The ultimate - long term goal - would be to buy the tgt packs (value)
Then afterwards, use my spreadsheet to determine which packs has the highest chance to get you new cards.
Focus mainly on GVG/TGT since classic packs are obtained through quests and tavern brawl.
DO NOT CRAFT ANYTHING. Until, you can craft ALL remaining cards for a set (GvG or TGT prefered for above reason)
Craft all the cards, rinse and repeat until you have a full collection.
Thank you very much for your suggestion and spreadsheet.
However, the biggest concern I have is that by buying the TGT packs, how can I determine what to DE to make dust for crafting when none of them have been tried in-game by more experienced players like you? If I buy the TGT, say I get lucky and get 50 rares, aside from the extra copies, I wouldn't know if I should DE them or not, and hence not getting any dusts from the packs!
For newer players, while getting the "theroetically" good cards from TGT is nice, but what to do with the unknown cards? DE them anyways? But then this discount is one of a lifetime and that extra 10 packs (not the card back imo) is surely tempting!
The real point is that classic packs are free, and you'll get an average of 1.5 a week through spectate game quest and tavern brawl - where as all the other packs are not freely obtainable like this - so sure, it will take longer to get a decent collection - but it'll be cheaper to do so.
You can choose to get a good collection quicker - but in the long term it will end up costing you more money / time.
So, short term, if you want to have decent decks quickly, go for which ever pack has the highest chance on obtaining useful cards, which in your case seems to be classic, since it's impossible to say how many cards of TGT are going to be useful.
Long term, get the TGT, don't worry to much about getting a high rank (there's no benefit to it anyways) and get your classic packs weekly by doing the spectate quest if you get it, and the tavern brawls.Sure, you won't know which cards are good and which are bad when the expac get's released, it might take a while actually, probably a month or two. But after those two months you'll have more dust than if you would buy the classic packs. Do remember, those 50 packs are going to have plenty of duplicates. So you'll probably end up with at least some dust!
I just can't stress this enough though - all the classic packs you buy now, in 2 years, when you have all the classic packs, is going to drop the value of your free tavern brawl and spectate packs by SO MUCH! Essentially - no more new cards, just dust.
Thanks again for your insights. Since I am going to consider playing the game long term, I am sold. ^^

Swampy, Jr.: (artist: Sephiroth-Art (murloc), dnikko(background))
Can help other then warlock decks to pump out murlocs, cause u dont need to draw a lot of cards, just use your hero power. Also since murlocs are buff oriented tribe, 0 attack aint such a big problem for this guy :)
Hope u like the little cutie :D (btw the shredder value!!! :D)
/edit: hey, the attachment aint mine lol :D no idea how it got here, but its submission #16 ... free advertising for him i guess! :D ... ok mods were able to delete that, i couldnt lolz ...

Oh... Haha. I'm so dumb! ;) I misread your instructions. RTFM, right?
It's very simple! Download the document in your prefered format. You got a card? Select the box and hit backspace, deleting all the content in the box. The numbers will automatically update.
Anyways. Thanks a lot for your help. Amazingly friendly of you that you actually changed the spreadsheet for me.

BHTrix I just wanted to give a shout out and say thank you for the spread sheet. It is very helpful in trying to decide between whether to do an arena run or just buy card packs.
Thanks

I support Mister_Smith's response. He wasn't trying to brag, but simply show the lack of thought of OP's post. What reaffirmed my beliefs was when OP edited his post: "In my opinion the mana cost increase of freezing trap (courtesy of Mister_Douchebag)...". That is completely petty and uncalled for.
The OP might just be new to the game or just habitually started calling it ice trap. It didn't seem fair to me to judge a perfectly valid thread based on that alone. It sounded belittling to me. In any case, there's no point in dragging this out. I don't agree with insulting anyone based on the responses here, so I at least agree with that part of what you're saying.

Here is a pro tip. Next time attack with one of the tiny 2/2 taunts Cenarius puts up, or one of the minions Cenarius gave +2/+2 to. Whenever a trap is up you run a small minion into it, you don't run massive 8, 9, 10 mana creatures.

Quote from Mister_Smith »If you want to discuss a card at least remember it's name. How are we supposed to take you serious if you confuse Freezing Trap with Ice Trap?
Thanks for being constructive and nice and stuff. What's up your ass?
Agreed. "Ha one of the words you used was slightly off, let me belittle you with my superior hearthstone knowledge!"

Hehe
think it's time for the reveal :p
For regular- (classic + gvg)
There's 53 legendary cards, 126 epic cards, 236 rare cards and 268 uncommon cards. The crafting costs for normal cards are 1600 legendary, 400 epic, 100 for rare and 40 for uncommon. So that's 53*1600, 126*400, 236*100 and 268*40.
Which means - 84800 for the legendary, 50400 for epic, 23600 for rare and 10720 for uncommon.
Totaling in 169520.
This excludes Gelbin Mekkatorgue and Elite Tauren Chieftain, these add another 3200 dust.
So total normal = 172720 dust.
For golden (classic + naxx + gvg + brm)
There's 64 Legendary, 130 Epic, 266 Rare and 334 Uncommon. The crafting cost for Golden cards is 3200 for legendary, 1600 for epic, 800 for rare and 400 for uncommon. Therefor 64*3200, 130*1600, 166*800 and 334*400
That's 204800 for the legendary, 208000 for the epic, 212800 for the rare and 133600 for the uncommon.
Totaling in at 759200.
Combine those two together, and the total crafting cost for a full collection is 931.920 dust.
Which means after TGT we'll be over a million :)
Therefor DynamischerDiskord with 931.920 was indeed correct :)
Power of Chaos came closest with his guess of 850.000. :)
(edit: small typo, it's 266 rare cards for the golden collection, not 166)
p.s. I am right to say you cannot craft golden Gelbin // ETC ? Else add 6400.

If you could disenchant your entire collection with the push of a button, I'm pretty sure there'd be a lot of people complaining on the blizzard forums right now :P

u2! thanks!

Oh noes, this is so horrible!

awesome bro,
I do think, unlike cenarius, that grommash is a pretty important card for control warrior, together with shield slams, dno if you have those.
good luck!

I have to say, I enjoy beating facenoobs most with millrogue, and then just gang up them antique healbots.
1
For Rogue I would consider Bloodmage Thalnos.
Other great legendary cards are The Black Knight, Sylvanas and Ragnaros

Do you suspect freezing? => Play FoN and bounce back a treant.
Do you suspect Explosive? => Feel free to run in Cenarius.
Or play minion that you don't mind getting bounced back though it'll require an extra turn which isn't always an option vs a hunter as no matter what they play, their hero power puts you unto a clock.
---
I'm perfectly aware of the ways to play around freezing - let's just assume that in this single situation there is no way to play around it except, not using the minion on the board.
I could go even further than this, what if we play versus pro hunter, and he just keeps clearing the smaller minions we play so our big minion literally just sits on the board for many turns over, doing absolutely nothing, we can't use him! We don't have the minions to run into his freezing trap, we got no kezan, heaven forbid, you name it.
I know it's a very rare occasion, but it does happen, and it's very frustrating.
In general I think freezing trap is fine, but in this specific situation it feels very overpowered. It can sometimes become a permanent ''freeze'' for bigger minions. In my opinion this makes for some pretty bad game play, now perhaps my solution is bad, and another solution might be better, or maybe we could better leave it alone... that's not for me to decide, however!
I feel that this specific scenario, which happens occasionally, calls for a little attention. Hence, this topic.

It's besides the point, ofc you use the little ones, unless they are not on the board.
The point is that Freezing Trap is essentially an assassinate (5 mana cost) or any other large removal for that matter, for only 2 mana when it's played on a turn where a big creature is played. It forces you to -not use- a minion you played.
Also, it's a bit silly because you can't give yourself 11 mana by using coin .... you can give yourself 10 mana, or first use a mana and gain an extra mana... but you can't get 11 mana, so why would there be minions that cost 11 mana?
To me it's not so much being punished for playing badly, as it is, freezing trap punishing you for playing a large minion.
