Standard is just not balanced. If it were, you could play a good variety of decks, at least a deck for every class.
Yes, the pool of cards is much more limited than wild's but standard is supposed to be the balanced format. IT'S SHIT. Hearthstone is just broken and unbalanced so just do yourself a favor and play wild to finish these stupid games faster. Or you can suffer. That's an option too.
How can people play standard? It's so fucking boring on so fucking multiple levels. You only play against the same two Pepega aggro dh and Pepega ramp druid and any other deck feels like trying to move a boulder. The cards are so bad and so slow. Whether you play a slow game or a fast one the outcome is always the same, pre-determined before you even started the game.
I'm personally tired of studying the meta and queueing the same decks in both standard and wild every time. Got top 500 legend in both formats and the reward is just queueing into tryhard players that probably dream of taking that number 1 legend spot. I have no interest in that, to be honest the most fun I have with Hearthstone right now is while doing quests and that's it.
I'm curious how do you enjoy the game, if you found a way for yourself to enjoy the game a bit more casually or "semi-casual", basically enjoying the game without giving a fuck about wins that much?
Not interested in the casual mode, ranked is still the way to go because you farm wins on the heroes in time and that gives you a sense of progression.
ok so. decided to try arena one more time :))))) Drafted really good 77 points deck. As Warlock. but it went badly because of: First lose - Archmage rune :))) Second lose - t5 Ceratine into t7 Wing Commander Ichman into x2 mountain bear. Third lose - Wyrmrest purifier into t6 Tamsin hero card. Went 4-3. ??????????? HOW, IM ASKING HOW THE FUCK COULD I WIN ANY OF THOSE GAMES??????? THERE WAS LITERALLY ZERO POINT FUCKING ZERO CHANCE TO WIN ANY OF THOSE. PEOPLE DONT HIGHROLL LIKE THAT EVEN IN CONSTRUCTED I start thinking my account has been flaged or something. amount of bad luck i had in past weeks is waaay over the top
It's just that arena is not what it used to be. It's a shit show like standard, too.
Just got 4-0 with hunter in arena with a decent curve deck, nothing special but my opponents were normal. Can you guess what happens next? Exactly, 3 games in a row with perfect answers from the opponents. One was a mage playing wyrmrest purifier into 9 mana box into casting amulet from their deck. SKILL am I right?
P.S. Spectated the opponent that delivered the 3rd loss. He chose to tap instead of playing a 3 mana taunt. Yeah, skill matters Kappa
I've seen so many top 100 games this season both on streams and when spectating a friend. How can they have Guff and Bloom 90% of the time? Whenever I play druid or shaman I almost never see those. Do people use hacks or something cause at this point I'm literally losing my mind.
As much as I like playing Burn Shaman and thought the deck is op, I can totally understand people saying it sucks because if you're like me and don't cheat mana with the Pepega Bloom card which only the pros draw, the deck is totally fair. Also, if you're like me and never queue aggro decks enjoy the losing streak :)
Glad Rally priest is rotating soon. Words cannot express how much I hate a deck with no win condition.
"But it has a win condition. It buffs the minions, plays Bless and kill you". If you think like that please play the deck and see for yourself the deck is about generating as much random stuff as you can and play it for basically free. It's a wanker's wet dream.
Freeze decks can be extremely tedious to play against, although shaman isn't that terrible compared to the freeze mage decks we've seen. You guys have kind of made your own little salt thread, but if it makes you feel any better, standard has been WAAAAAAY worse. Now it's a bit crazy, has some stupid win cons, but at least it has multiple classes AND deck types ;)
And less rng than the previous years although we still need to wait for this rotation to eliminate some more. I don't have the slightest idea how we managed through the clownfiesta that we had almost 2 years ago.

Fuck hunters and their highrolls every single game. I should enjoy this last week of Scavenger's Ingenuity right???

It seems people are very mean when they win, too.

Had 3 runs of arena after a long time and oh boy, what the hell happened to arena? It's full of generation and RNG.
Is there any mode where you can actually play with the cards you put in your deck??

Keep believing it's about skill.

I really like the overall direction of the game.
