So i dusted my entire wild collection when they announced classic since i thought having the entire collection for a permanent format would be the most enjoyable.
F#ck me, i guess.

Five blood dks in a row. This game's playerbase is one of the greatest examples of how shallow, toxic, uninventive, spineless and ultimately depravated humanity can be. Fuck you all. For real.
Good god ! Just play relic dh so when you q up the mmr system won’t match you against a deck your deck is favored against unless there are no other decks in the q at the same time. You have to understand how to manipulate the system. I understand the hate with the time spent letting the world know but this shows you have the motivation to work the system in your favor and get those coveted ladder rewards for your efforts! Are you willing to learn? Send me a dm and let me guide you to legend.
Do you really think my issue is about not being able to reach legend and counter blood DK?!? Couldn't care less, buddy. I don't play this game to reach legend, for sure.
What would it bring me? A better pay at my job? The sudden massive interest of attractive young ladies? A large home with a garden and a swimming pool? A fast car as a present? Some golden and diamond trophy? Don't think so, right? Just as I suppose it doesn't bring anything like that to any of those prized legend players. Except for a few packs and an epic card (not even golden anymore).
My lashing was directed at a community that has become increasingly win-obsessed, to the point where it's the only possible enjoyment they can get out of it. Even if this requires playing tens or hundreds of games in a row with the same deck, the same cards, played over and over again in the same pattern. Rinse and repeat. Rinse and repeat. Like bots. A million possibilities, hundreds of cards at your disposal, and you stick to 15/17 of them for days, weeks, months. Yeah! Cause it's tier one, baby! It gives me wins. GIVE ME MY WINS!!! MY PRECIOUS WINS! It's so sad that this mindset has become so overwhelmingly prevalent. And it's even sadder that it seamlessly extends to casual play as well.
I know the usual comments: "Everyone's free to enjoy the game the way they want!". True. But I still strongly believe that such ultra-committed mindsets, fully driven by efficiency and success rate, applied to something that still ultimately belongs to the fun/leisure/relax realm are pretty toxic and concerning.

It's the same game, meta doesn't get worse every time, it got to its worst point years ago and it's going to stay there forever, it's just you getting bored. If you were bored enough to quit, it's not worth coming back. My opinion of course and you shouldn't let me tell you what to do with your life.

Just a side note, Concert Promo-Drake having the Tradeable keyword most likely means it's going to be a new Evergreen keyword, which is really good in my opinion!

Gee, this thread degenerated really fast towards the end. Just want to point out to people that look at real cash spenders with hatred or envy: just because people spend money to skip some grind, it does not mean they are stupid or bad people. Addiction can be a thing, but it can happen to f2p players who cannot close the game until sunrise. So long as playing does not take over your life in terms of expenses or time spent, it's fine.
I have been on both sides, f2p and wallet warrior. To be honest, just grinding arena or some crap deck in casual does not make you smarter. I got tired of doing that for years. I am wasting more money by being f2p ironically, because i can work in that time and instead of earning the equivalent of 1 pack per hour in game currency, i can earn the equivalent of 10 or more in real pay. So why torture myself by losing with unoptimised decks or grinding spinoff game modes, when I just want to play a game I love with every card available? Some people cannot afford that luxury, some people love slow-burn updating their decks, and all of that is fine. Stop looking at your neighbour with hatred.
Going back on topic: I think hearthstone stood the test of time much better than other games, but I feel it is coming at an end of a cycle. If esports stop completely (even though the community will make tournaments), you know the game will live for 1 or 2 more years max.

I stopped playing Hearthstone a few weeks ago, because i was thinking that i dont like video games anymore. I just had no fun in playing this game at all and thats not normal for me by any means. I played this game since 2014 and have nearly every card in the game. Im now only "active" in the Forum and read how much everybody loves/hates this game.
I was annoyed the moment i clicked play and saw ANY class, because i knew which deck they would play and my chance to win. there are like 5000 cards, but i see only ~50 per class. (even in wild there are only like 10 Decks which make 50% auf the ladder)
If you are a f2p player, than you need to play the game nearly every day, because otherwise you wont have the gold for the next expansion... thats how they get you to play every day. I will have a break for some week or months now. I will not have the gold for the next expansion when/if i come back and i will absolutly not pay a cent on this game at this point, so i most likely have to drop the game.
The probelm is not only the devs, but the players who just copy paste every deck with high winrates.
I dont wanna end this on a bad note, because i used to love this game, but fuck everyone of you, who spam emotes, only uses netdecks, ropes every turn.
I wish for everybody else that you still have fun playing the game.

I guess 8 years of expansions is not enough to make people able to make other decks.
Oh a Shaman? "vomit the hand and win Shudderwock".
Priest? Lmao, turn 3 Neptulon and fuck you.
Druid? Lol look at me, turn 6 Celestial Alignment so your deck is useless now.
Rogue? Hurdur turn 1 never bring a sword to a fish fight Hurdur I no brain.
Just fuck this game.

"you managed to do the thing X ! congratz! as a reward, you can give some money to us"
Yeah, it was just the season switch for the new month and I was still sitting in bronze:
"Congrats you made it to bronze! Here have a bundle!"
Made me chuckle.

Why the fuck they had to add this retarded mode to the quest chain? fucking mercenaries can suck my ass.
Now i can't finish festival.
I ACTUALLY tried to do it. And after 1 min of searching where tf am i doing tasks, i found it.
Started match. Vomited. Put random cards on battlefield. Vomited again. Then i gave up
This should be the fucking last quest. Noone is playing this mode anyway, and those retards at blizz trying to force us to play it

Nerf the decks I don't like. Buff the decks I like.

Not mistakes. They're designed this way to force players to pay to upgrade their decks so they keep up with the meta. They can pay with gold if they save up, it's a common strategy among players, but they give so many incentives to deplete your gold resources before every miniset tho: heroic brawl, good skins in the shop.

I don't think nerfing cards that are popular now will solve anything. You nerf them, other decks and strategies which are just as toxic will emerge after that.
I think what needs to change is the design view / the principles by which they print cards. I would like to see them addressing the stuff that is toxic for the game: mana cheating, disruption, cards that skip turns (time warp, ice block, cloak).

It baffles me how the community defends the Flurgl + Toxfin combo. Yes, the murloc package is a bigger issue atm, but a 3 mana board clear that requires an immediate answer from the opponent to not lose the game on the spot is not healthy for the game at all.
This community is filled with anger and personal grudges, so they lose sight of whatever is broken and unhealthy for the game. Usually they defend whatever is broken when they win with it or don't lose to, but when they lose to it, it needs an immediate nerf and it's the most broken thing ever. I'm playing mech paladin and I don't defend a turn 2-3 fill the board. It's toxic and broken. The game is at its best in the span of 6-9 turns. You feel you played the game but it's also fast enough you don't get bored of it and want to queue another game.
Sorry for the small rant, but seriously wild needs to be looked at because some cards or combos are getting too ridiculous. The community defending such broken cards or interactions is also ridiculous.
1
Hearthstone community is so so so so toxic. Whenever I forget to squelch the opponent, they don't forget to take the opportunity to emote the fuck out of me when they win.
PLS FUCKING IMPLEMENT AUTOSQUELCH ALREADY.
So tired of hearing these kids feel superior in a video game for lucking out the sequence of card draw.
1
I like how every day of Hearthstone must start with 5 straight losses to the most nutty highrolls possible on the opponent's deck.
2
Quest mage is the worst deck ever made. It's literally solitaire. All it does is freeze the opponent, play Ice Block to prevent lethal and they do not kill you, they torture you to death with millions of parrots. I don't care if this deck becomes tier 5 or 10, this deck should be deleted from HS' existence.

Who the heck wanted secret mage back??

Gonna stop feeding this sick system with my money. Sure, some cosmetics are nice but paying for cards is a total waste. Either you play your own off-meta deck, a meta deck or the "skillful" arena, your winrate will be controlled by the system to not be too high. You find yourself winning? You can see the game doing its best to prevent you from winning any more.

Oh, the typical smartass who comes with logic and reasoning to the salt post.
You didn't even read carefully the reason I'm so pissed about, you just comment to feel you're smart when you can't even understand what you read.
