It's a grind baby, you just gotta put in the games.  If you're stuck at rank 5-1 then just keep on playing because clearly you're doing something right.  All you need to do is push through the gate keepers.

Here are some guidelines:

1) Are you missing key cards in the basic sets? Buy packs.

2) Are you content with your pre-GvG collection? Play Arena.

3) Are you content with your current GvG collection? Buy packs.

4) Do you on average get 2 or less wins in Arena? Buy packs (GvG or Pre GvG)

F2P = Free to play.  Does anyone have to pay to play?? Nope.  Thus, this will ALWAYS BE F2P.

My friend started an account to play together, and I told him to NEVER buy packs, only go for Arena, win or lose, because that is the ONLY way to get cards and experience to get more cards.  

If new players don't want to use real money to buy packs, then stick to Arena until you get lots of packs.  

You can accumulate 1000g and 9 free packs I believe from in game quests and achievements against the innkeeper alone.

On a side not I bought my friend NAxx as a Christmas present :D 

Seriously though, new players need to stick to Arena or fork over money.  End of story.

Just use a paper and pen if MAC version doesn't work.  Record class: win/loss and if you're up for it, type of deck.

The biggest hurdle you will face is the number of games you play.  I once played 30 games in rank 3! 15 wins 15 losses in a single day.

Just keep playing, and don't worry even if you lose, because you WILL make it up.  I definitely think you should take breaks between losses, because mentally you'll be a little on edge.  

Sometimes what gets you to Legend is a little bit of RNG on your side, so don't tinker too much, if at all, with your deck.

You can't really say the picks were "fine" because a bad pick sends the whole draft down the crapper.  Pint size was not the correct choice there, and annoy a tron would have been better instead of the secret since they both protect your minions but one is better and is a minion on board.

U had six 2-drop minions when the second hoarder came out, you shouldve went with the burly since you already had a loot hoarder AND cult master for card draw, as well as your hero power if need be.

Pick 10# shouldve been equality.  Yeah drake is great, but equality is even better, ESPECIALLY with 20 picks to go still.

I dont think you were on tilt, I think just bad picks which resulted in bad draws in game.

Next arena do another arenavalue draft for us and we can go through it :D

+1 doing really well with this deck when I dont get ass draws.  Using Cairne instead of Dr. Boom since I don't have him, still works :)

I live in Japan so it hasn't affected me yet. 2 more hours before home time! Hope it's working by then!

actualky, with the release of the new 7 drops and under, mill house, mulls, and thalnos became viable early drops. And let's not forget there are still more cards to go! 

sure in the past the lack of enough good legendary cards made the deck just a gimmick, but with the new expansion I think it'll become real.

Think is, this game needs time to grow.  too little cards costs the game.  just wait for this exp to hit or even the next exp like MTG.
