Forgot to mention the direwolf alpha, this card seems like it may be a candidate to cut, but when played turn 2 after 2 1/1 saplings it applies nice early pressure, it accelerates any beatdown scenario, and helps you trade up with some of your smaller minions. Fits right in with the flexiblity of the deck.

I have considered subbing him for Knight of the Wild, but that would significantly slow down the deck and then my beast count would be too low to take advantage of him properly anyway.

Eydis is great in a priest or paladin deck, I am tempted to try her in a violet teacher druid with enchants.

Captain Greenskin is solid in control warrior.

posted a message on Most Influential TGT Card for Every Class

Mage: Polymorph Boar: this card is great in a tempo or flexible mage deck because it fills the place of polymorph and can also be 4 damage to the face if your going for lethal. A great card. I really wish Fallen Hero had been a 2/3. Rhonin is a beast in spell deck.

Paladin: I know everyone will say it has to be Mysterious Challenger, and I can't argue because it has spawned the dominant new deck that everyone is running. But I will say that that deck has vulnerabilities and I am not sure it will be viable long term. My favorite card that Paladin got is Murloc Knight. This thing fits into many different paladin decks and can snowball into ridiculous value.

Shaman got the 3 totem cards and that made totem decks viable.

Warrior it's definately Bash, that card is great value and fits in almost every warrior deck. I stopped running execute because of that card. But I still want to figure out a deck that could use alexstraza's champion effectively. That card is just amazing but just does not fit into any warrior deck properly. Dragons are slow and that card is amazing fast pressure, I guess it could simply be used removal and a possible value play, but I want to make more of it. Of course you have to mention Varian Wrynn. The 1 card combo and win condition unto himself.

Priest it is Wyrmrest Agent and Twighlight Guardian.

Hunter got a whole new midrange value deck with King's Elek and Ram Wrangler, too bad face hunter still seems more viable. They also got a gimmiky lock n load deck. They got a lot of cards that looked good but then in practice fizzled, I'm looking at you Brave Archer, Powershot and Bear Trap.

Druid really did well, Roots, Aspirant and Combatant are all great cards and fit into a variety of decks. Combo, token, ramp, beast druids all looking viable.

Warlock, I am not sure warlock got anything that will last. Wrathguard is a gamble, dreadsteed an interesting but limited deck, I thought Gormok the impaler might become a staple in zoo, fist of jaraxus in a discard heavy deck (though I think you need one more card that wants to be discarded before you can chase that archetype), overall I don't see warlock as getting much help.

Rogue almost got a pirate deck, that is dangerously close to becoming a thing.

posted a message on Decrease Card Dust Crafting Cost?

@ Giorg.   It is just supposition, I have been playing F2P games for years and have seen this many times. If you don't offer new players a path to catch up, the game will stop attracting them due to the massive time/money investment it takes to become competitive. Hearthstone has some advantages though, it is hella fun and things like tavern brawl and arena offer balanced duels to those with small cardpools.

@ Tate.  Yes, I was mainly responding to others in the thread, and offering my opinion on how that implementation might look.

posted a message on Decrease Card Dust Crafting Cost?

Typically these Pay to Play games will offer some noob packages at a reduced cost to speed up a players development. Something like 20 bucks for 20 packs and 400 dust, but you can only buy it one time.

They will also introduce lower costs for older content to allow people to catch up. So it would look something like this: End of this year, they reduce crafting costs of Goblins v Gnomes by say 25-50 percent. Then the following year after the release of the next expansion, they do the same thing to the grand tournament cards...etc.

This way a new player can get the cards he requires for a certain deck easier after waiting an appropriate amount of time. The long time player has the advantage of having had those cards for up to a year before the newer player.

posted a message on TGT- Mukla aint got s**t on his champion

nice deck, very similar to what I am running, but I use Blessing of Kings and Seal of champions instead of Mukla's champ (I also dont have justicar or Gormok) So I run Eydis as she is perfect with the enchantments.

One thing I noticed is you dont have much card draw...which I get since you want to inspire every turn. But consider finding space for a cultist or two, with all their tokens they can be good for a nice 4-5 draw in the midgame.

posted a message on Day one TGT MVPs

So I was able to save up enough gold for 27 packs on release today. Got some nice cards and crafted a few more.

Gotta say that so far the most ridiculously broken card I have seen is Murloc Knight. In a solid paladin deck, that thing just takes over and dominates the mid game.

Others that I have had a lot of fun with are polymorph boar, fallen hero, tuskar totemic and darnissus aspirant.

I think those that wrote off this set are way off, I have seen druids using that 10 mana crystal on turn one trick, heavy inspire decks and all kinds of fun stuff as I bounce around between ranks 11 and 14.

Maybe at legend its all the standard stuff, but I have been beating Handlock, face hunter and even control warrior messing around with this new set. I am really enjoying it so far.
