In the last 2 days in arena, I've played a functioning Discardlock, a Malygos Warrior, and a Treant Druid.... Anyone else seeing a rise in seemingly constructed combos in arena, or pulled any off themselves? Anytime I've ever drafted a card that required other conditions, I can never draft matching conditions.
I play Arena consistently, and I have seen an uptick of synergistic decks, but not a huge trend.
I recently played against a Mage who curved perfectly into an Animated Avalanche followed by Flamestrike after I had removed the Avalanches and created a board of mid-range minions. She also played two Firelands Portals that game. I myself recently drafted a Warlock deck with three Soulfires, a Malchezaar's Imp, and a Malygos.
Basically you can expect multiple dragon synergies, but these other non-dragon synergies are not that common. Arena has gotten tighter as you either draft ridiculous on-curve synergistic decks (usually with dragons) or you lose terribly.
