High Lander decks can win against anything with decent luck. i think the coming Meta will be really interesting and Fun with no auto-win matches.
That is the reason why they are so bad to play. Because whether they win or lose is dependent on draw RNG. Sitting there praying I draw my ONE copy of Hell Fire by turn 4, or my ONE copy of Frost Nova to pair with my ONE copy of Doomsayer by turn 5 is not the way I like to play HS. It is a losing strategy. And it is most definitely NOT FUN.
The perception that going highlander automatically makes your deck a lot worse than it was is absolutely wrong and you should stop listening to Kripp from time to time. You lose consistenty yes, but you gain versatility and that win games just as much as consistency. And consistency can also LOSE you a game against good players/deck trackers, it's way easier to play around 15 cards than 30.
Best fucking advice in the entire post. Jesus how people worship every word he speaks is simply daunting. I do agree with the other points in your post as well, just look at Solem (wild youtuber), he's currently building a lot of Reno Decks and is finding success with a lot of them.
I will say that bomb warrior absolutely destroys most of these decks unless there is a way to tutor for them. Paladin has a way with Call to Adventure (if Finley is the lowest), hopefully we get a "Destroy all duplicates" card this expansion as well.
I'm not a fan of Kripp, but this guy's advice is dead wrong, and anyone who doesn't see that is totally clueless.
