But sometimes I quit as well, but always for the same reason: My opponent is an asshole. I just can't describe it in any other way. When I have 3 Health and my opponent has 3 minions out there, all above a damage of 3 and I end my turn wating for him to kill me, that's okay. But I want it quick. But some see it as their chance to play EVERYTHING they have. And you can do a lot with 10 mana. Why they waste my time? Do they want to show, what else they have to defeat me? I got it, I lose, it's okay. But it's not okay to pull out your dick and rub it into my face. Do your move and kill me. Is that so hard to understand?
And then I'm glad that I have the button to quit.
THIS! It's also a reason why I like Trump more than for example Noxious. Nox is this kind of player who doesn't respect the opponent, Trump always finishes the game quickly and will not show his whole hand to the opponent who already lost (mathematically), it's some kind of respect in my oppinion.
There were a few games I topdecked the card I needed to finish the opponent - At this point I'm always saying "sorry" to the opponent because I know how it feels to be defeated by a topdeck.
Sportsmanship is the keyword.
edit/ It also pisses me of a little bit (but sometimes I'm doing this, too. Automatically xD) when the opponent first play all the cards he has in hand and then concedes.
When I know I will lose the next turn, the opponent has one chance to finish me. If he's taking too long or has to play all his cards first, then it pisses me really off and I concede.
I will say this, when someone says "well played" Before playing their last cards and dealing the final blow instead of after my hero explodes, it feel arrogant of them and it makes me want to slap them hard.

I didn't feel this way. If someone is saying "Well Played" first and then attacks (without playing unnecessary cards), you'll have more time to react to his "WP" and tell him the same. It happened to me a lot that I didn't have enough time to say "WP" after he destroyed me so it makes sense to say it before you're going to destroy your opponent. But it's only my personal opinion

Well, sorry to say but if you feel that way, you already lost.
Heh, sorry to say but I dump my hand, cast irrelevant stuff when the game is over, do extra damage, etc. all the time. Why? Because it counts towards finishing a daily lol. It's not to be a pain, it's just to get the annoying ones where you need to cast 40 spells, summon a bunch of minions < 2 or >5, do 100 damage (yes, overage counts towards the total), destroy 40 minions or whatever else I may have queued up. Sportsmanship has nothing to do with it. Letting a game actually annoy some of you, there lies the problem...
But I also won't concede either for the OP in case my opponent may be looking to finish out something of their own. It's the worst feeling ever when that completion progress bar shows up after a match and you still need 1 or 2 more of whatevers to finish it up lol.

I hope when I've done this I haven't been irritating people. I usually use "Well Played" before playing my final card(s) because it gives the opponent a chance to also return with "Well Played." Simple as that, no other reason. Definitely not trying to be arrogant.
Alextraza with a secret down (mage that is) and you can feel next turns pyroblast already. Such an op combo!
Murlocks and I don´t ever draw a single aoe removal by turn 6.
Mirror matches (Priest vs Priest I don´t even bother to draw a single card).
Lethal on board and can´t counter or finish the game, why bother waiting another turn? faster for me AND my opponent, same result.
Something happened and I just got to go.
Those are the main reasons I quit.
For the record, I don´t think conceding is bad in any way, I figured my opponent might want to get another game going asap. I know those true masters of random card drawing out there never loose hope and stick to their guns till the bitter end, but really... why waste game time?
I usually let the opponent get the killing blow, but if they have lethal then the instant they do anything other than go for lethal, I'll hit concede. I don't care if you want to show me that you have 3 more minions you could have brought out, thanks very much.
^^this^^ And no I don't care about your "minion quest", just start another game after this one.
e) Other. Wife is calling. Baby is crying. I'm hungry.
My question is more why do people leave ("Your opponent left")?
Is it out of anger when they thought they had me and didn't?
I've seen it happen many times, especially when I play my shaman whose specialty is to make apparent comebacks (since I usually get pretty wounded in the early game). Does it feel better to quit the game than press Concede?
I don't buy it that the game just happened to "hang" right at those moments.
The image I like to imagine is that of a very angry opponent turning the computer off :)
I've done it like 3 or 4 times now where I'm just not paying attention and I hit esc to bring up the menu and then I see quit and think "yep that's what I want to do". Luckily since I always say "well played" before conceding it wouldn't just be "your opponent left" it would be "well played" followed by "your opponent left". Maybe they realize I just screwed up or think I was done for the day.

Something we all can agree with! Thanks for the reply. By the way, there's a reason you can't spell obnoxious without Noxious lol.

I do it that way for the same reason. Well, you can't please everyone.
Unless explicitly stated, my posts are my opinion and mine only.
