I farm gold faster in casual than in ranked. In ranked in high ranks the battles take generally longer, while in casual i manage to finish a battle within 5 minutes with an aggro deck.
You obtain one star per rank. So does not matter that much if you are rank 1 or rank 3 end of this season. Grinding to legend i do not want to do right now. Its time comsuming, so better i'll do it in the season where i can obtain the legend card back instead of in this test seaon.
Seriously, you can't go through life feeling guilty for what others may or may not think of you. It's a big world; as long as you're out doing something, some people are always going to find offense with something you do.
Be courteous and polite, but don't go nuts about it.

If you find my posts to be rude, objectionable, or whatever, well, I got tired of writing polite TL; DR (Too Long, Didn't Read) posts at crybaby whiners. So now I just make it short and nasty.
If you find that funny, well and good. If you find that sad, that's even better.
by the way, just found a reason to climb the ladder this season: "Don’t forget—the further you move up the Ranked Play ladder, the more bonus stars you’ll receive next season. In Ranked Play Season 1, you’ll receive bonus stars based on your performance from Test Season 4—one bonus star per rank you attained."
IIRC the purpose for the bonus stars is so that new players wont find themselves in competition with Legendary (and near legendary) players at the start of a new season.
Blizzard has indicated that the season card-backs will be awarded for making it past Rank 20 (10 stars) in a given season. That means that if you reached Rank 15 in one season, you'll qualify for the next season's card back so long as you play at least one Ranked game.
There is also a card back for making it to Legendary. I do not think that Blizzard has mentioned having different Legendary backs for each season, but it would not surprise me if they go that route at some point.
I play to test some decks and do casuals with classes that do not have that good decks to try them to ladder and I play with people that have just now started. They play for example turn one sinister strike, turn two goldshire footman etc... and I play since closed beta (rank 2 atm)..
The same with my second account, I have very few cards and I play my dailys there only.. In casual I play vs people that run top tier decks and I can win with a very lucky draw maybe 10% of the games... so I am forced to play ranked at rank 20 to do them

I honestly feel bad sometimes, I know how annoying it is when you need to do a quest with a class you don't play often and you keep getting crushed.
I have had 5 people in a row concede on turn 5/6 just because they see me playing a priest deck, with Ancient watchers and Sunfury.

#1 I am still having problems with random disconnections with hearthstone sometimes.
#2 I see no point in grinding the ladder when the season is almost over.
#3 I'm trying to test my deck so that next season I can reach legend with it.

The thing is, there is no doubt in my mind, that I can reach legend, But my challenge is to reach legend with priest only ;P

No, because I constantly meet goddamn Warrior Control decks in casual mode.
My deck does extremely well against Control Warrior..

Nah I like starting at rank 25 really, since its free wins there for your golden hero.

I only feel guilty going into casual because any wins there don't count for my golden heros, wheras any losses in ranked can be made up for.
Honestly I run into better decks in casual than I do in ranked.
You're better off testing on the ladder than in casual.
HandLock is too much fun.

Why the casual matchmaking is so bad?
