Inspired by another thread about how much you spent on Hearthstone, I would like to talk about my own f2p experience.
The theroy:
For f2p your income (golds) from quest is about 60 gold each day. With 3 accounts you will have about 180. While this seems flaw, to make this work the main thing to remember is to make them so different that you can enjoy different aspects of the game (not to complete adventures in all accounts, not to main the same heros in different accounts). You can use this method to maximise the fun you have while not spending real money.
What I have been doing:
1. I am a free to play player. I have never spent anything playing Hearthstone.
2. I maintain 3 different accounts on NA server.
3. I started playing HS since August 2014, then second account a month later, then 3rd another month later.
4. I don't have much time to play every day, about 1 hour a day and a bit more over the weekends.
5. I mainly played Arena, achieved 12 wins only 3 times averaging 5 wins per run. Played a bit ranked and the highest rank is only level 7. (not my decks are bad just not enough time.
The benefits:
Access to many cards therefore access to many different decks. I have so many different decks:
1st account : this account has both adventures completed and is my main ladder account. It has mid-range paladin, aggro paladin, patron warrior, control priest etc. I have DE all Rogue class cards and crafted the two class ones for Paladin. (Yes, Bolvar is not that good but I won't regret).
2nd account: this is my 'fun' account as it has many 'not quite there but fun' legendaries, Cho, Nozdome to name a few. However, when time moves on and more and more card are earned through Arena, it has quite a few close to complete ladder decks: Oil Rogue, Malygos Warlock. Tempo Mage with Flamewaker etc. It has a couple wings but not all completed for adventures.
3rd account: It has no direction until one day I found that Handlock is so much fun to play and this account is the closest one, then I crafted the giants here we go. Later I also crafted Lord Jaraxxus and Dr Boom and it becomes very competitive. It has a couple wings but not all completed for adventures.
I have not mentioned the Mech decks as I played a lot Arena games and all accounts have enough GvG cards to build these decks, Mech Mage in 1st account (with Antonidas) and Mech Shaman in 3rd accounts. Hunter decks are cheap and easy to build too so I have not mentioned them either. Same apply to Ramp Druid.
With viable decks in different classes, you will know about the strength and weakness in each of them.
You will always have something new you want to do and you can do it in one or another account.
The benefits are actually quite close to having a complete collection of cards, while not spending any money. The advantage is that you earned the cards and you played a lot of basic cards and know why some cards are bad by design, some cards are bad due to current meta or actually some cards are not that bad you just need to find a way to make it work.
All in all, I think this is a good experience and want to share it with all f2p players.
For some reason this thread reminds me of a King of The Hill scene where Dale goes on some rant about how he's learned to sleep with his eyes open and after a long pause goes "I'm so tired"....
I donno what else to say

I used to do this, too! I had like 6 accounts, just to play arena. When I was new, that's all I wanted to do with the game. Eventually I stopped being poor and was able to gather a sizable collection on my main account, however. And with being not-poor came a lack of time to play arena on 6 accounts. xD

It feels bad to be poor :/
Yo, not to ruin your streak but I'd totally buy you some packs/adventures...you seem really into it and I want to help.

Huh, I assumed that's how many players play the game (switching between EU and NA frequently). Including those who aren't free to play.
I personally have one where a broad collection is the goal and another for shits and giggles.
Someone buy him some packs.
gift me BRM T_T
