Zampok obviously deserves a trophy for his amazing feats. Lets all give him a big pat on the back for such an awesome gloat post. Infact we should urge Blizzard to send this man a by into the grand finals at blizzcon for his amazing abilities at hearthstone.
Posts like this actually make me feel good. Since I earned every card from arena. Paid Naxx expansion with gold. I will also pay Blackrock with gold. Obviously, I do disenchant every golden card I get. Because it really means nothing to me. Same with card backs. Now here is the really fun part. I'm in the fortunate position that I could afford spending that 4k$+ also. Easily. But I consciously chose not to. Because getting all the cards was part of my motivation, to keep playing Hearthstone. Also my limited card pool forced me to think out of the box with decks. And dont netdeck everything I saw. Its is a way way more interesting and rewarding journey, then if I would just have bought everything.
But im a man with alot of patience. That doesnt need everything right now. Meanwhile I also got Legend rank mutiple times. And infinite arena is also under my belt. In a way I got everything out of the game that I wanted too. And no.... I didnt spend absurds amount of time. I've been in the HS beta way way back, more then a year ago. But I dont think I've missed even 1 quest. Consistent progress will get you everything in life. If you got the right mindset.
You sound like a great guy to have a beer with. Holy shit.
Elfmage seems jealous of someones disposible income. Incapable of fathoming someone who is well enough to blow money like that on a card game and not even blink an eye.

I only made such a gloat post. Because this topic does the same in disguise. Still, my story is true.
Im happy for your post, im happy for your positive attitude towards it and im happy for you. I wish there was many more ppl like you. Im not kidding.
People like me cant afford to spend much on games, living in central/eastern europe, not having well paid job... its people like you who fund projects like Hearthstone and who allow us, poor people, have fun too.
So my msg to all of you big spenders - keep spending, have fun and be glad you can afford it, and never have any regrets, and if you do, realize you make someone else out there happy - blizz employees and forced f2p players.
I see nothing wrong with spending money (you have to spend) on something you enjoy a quality time with. 4k$ for a game may sound much but if you have had a good time with it, you could have spend it far worse imho. I sunk significantly more than that in car extras that I am hardly ever using.
Personnally, I dropped about 60$ in GvG (playing f2p before and since) and regret it in a way that I did not have the motivation to grind for packs as I too quickly ran out of cards to be gotten from packs (those wanted to play, not a complete collection, mind you).
So, after having tried both approaches, I chose to go back to strictly f2p as the collecting is more fun for me that way. I fully appreciate your effort in getting full collections on all servers, however. if it is fun for you, do it. It is your money after all...

Battle doesn't need a purpose; the battle is its own purpose. You don't ask why a plague spreads or a field burns. Don't ask why I fight.
People who think you need to be a millionaire to spend $4k on something you enjoy clearly have not been properly employed yet. Or live in a piss poor country, my condolences then.
People are only inquiring the motives in why the OP decided that spending 4k in virtual intangible cards is good enough to even "brag" about it. Besides, what's even more funny is that he's wasting these large sums of cash on random odds generated by the internal coding of HS itself.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. The original post was in no way intended or written in the context of gloating or bragging. Sometimes there are just statements of fact posted as well as a question meant to fuel meaningfull responses.
Your myopic and highly judgemental (as to say not really formed as an opinion and more trolling attack) comments are duly noted, well done.
I'm not sure I've wrapped my head around that yet, but it appears I've spent $4,322.10 on Hearthstone. Yes, all digits and decimals points are in their proper location. Alright, so moving past that ridiculous fact... what does it actually get you? Keep in mind this is for one account, spanning all 3 servers.
=========
I've never really kept track of my Hearthstone spending, but maybe I should have? I guess I don't have any regret since I've certainly played enough. Compared to any other console game (although I can't remember the last time I actually bought/played a console game) for example I'm sure my average $/hr is about the same.
I'm sure there are plenty of F2P people who will say this post is dumb, I have a F2P account I use as well and I wouldn't disagree. But for those who have spent money.... what do you think, how much is too much to spend on a game? How much have you spent?
Not to worry - your original post certainly didn't come across as gloating. If anything, you were self-deprecating without descending in to apologising for being financially able to afford such a habit.
Your candour is appreciated and has sparked an interesting discussion so my advice would be to continue ignoring those whose jealousy has driven them to become insulting.
Maybe reread the original OP, I dont see any sort of gloating in his post what sp ever. The fact you see gloating in that post simply means you have some major financial insecuurities.
As for your gloat post, its really nothing special. Grinding out enough in the arena to go infinite where you average 150 gold + a pack is not mich an accomplishment, going infinite in arena is actually pretty simple. So is getting legend each season if you have the time, as playing a consistent net deck and understanding the games logistics plus a few hundred games each season is all it takes. With the above, grinding out a full normal collection by playing that mich since beta is also a fairly standard result. But dont worry, well still petition for you to get into that grandfinals match at blizzcon.
