Is this still a problem? I know there are authentication issues but people seem to be posting a lot of things on the forum which suggest that some people are actually playing. As of 4pm yesterday my Play button has been grayed out in the launcher and Blizz do keep updating their EU customer support twitter page, but it's been nearly a day, seems like a massive problem if it really is affecting all of Europe,
Our teams have been working on this non-stop since it began, there's definitely been no case of "leave it until tomorrow", right now we have people in both the EU and US working together and anyone who was needed to help investigate/work on the problem has been called in whether they were already working at the time or not.

ddos attack "confirmed"?! if it was "only" a hardware failure replacing the broken pieces would be much faster. if it was a software issue it would be resolved with a rollback or anything else wich also would be much quicker than that.going on atm...
It's so nice... I finally got my beta key. Next day I blocked my arena due to "great" patch, which has brought more new bugs then fixes. And now since 1,5 day I can't play at all, due to this problem. And to make it all even more funny it was exactly when I got 4 day long weekend due to some public holiday and leave. I just love my luck :/

Neither is a solution, I reckon. It's a problem with their login servers (unspecified what exactly). So it's not a question of doing a rollback or necessarily fixing broken hardware. It it were that simple something would have been done allready. And I seriously doubt a company like Blizzard would get their professional grade login servers taken down by a ddos attack.

blizzard got hacked, as sonys psn was back in 2011. get over it...

It's not only HS, it's whole battle.net so they can't use excuse "beta" this time ;)
