So much salt in this thread, it's very amusing. It would be interesting if Blizzard posted some stats referring to the % of players in each game mode so we could actually see which were more popular than others.
Arena and Wild are moderately popular (a couple millions of players)
Duels and Brawls are not very popular (many thousands of players)
Factually incorrect. Duels is more popular than Arena and Wild. Think it came up on one of the devs Twitter AMAs. And when Duels is bigger than Arena and Wild, I suspect it's also bigger than Mercenaries (which is probably the least popular mode - meaning it's the biggest failure).
Really ? That's crazy, Arena and Wild are main hearthstone game modes, I would have never expected duels to be more popular. Goes to show what Hearthstone has become.. If everything is a clown fiesta might as well play in the dedicated clown fiesta mode I guess ?
Mercs was simply by how long it took to come out, only to just be Raid Shadow Legends but worse
RSL has absolutely dog shit economy and insanely overwhelming and intrusive micro transactions (mother company runs actual casinos, and my zombie brain), but besides that it is actually a great game, with enough content to stick you to your phone 12 hours a day for the next 50 years, and visuals that would shame your PS3, probably the most advanced mobile game of all time graphically. Progression is horrendously slow but virtually infinite.
Mercs isn't just "worse". It's the worst game in the whole genra.
Dude Duels is awesome, yes its stale for now but so is standard after 4 months. I play every now and then and its great fun.
Duels is pretty unbalanced but it's fun if you don't take it seriously, and it's not really a money sink. Mercs is trash
