When the minion is first played, Spellburst acts as an 'after spell cast' Triggered effect. Once a spell is cast, it loses the Spellburst graphic and effect, but retains the keyword. The "keyword" is then functionally meaningless.
That was something i was wondered about, if i play Headmaster with a Hunter Spell that has Poiseness the keyword Spellburst won't trigger the effect.
The keyword is meaningless but it is'nt explained how much and in which causes.
i hope someone can explain if i just mistaking something or if the game developers didn't include this option as it was supossed to do so.
I'm also a wild player, and the spell i used for the combination was grievous bite.

Have a good time and good luck on ladder.
Most likely a bug or an interaction that blizard bypssed, im pretty shure it should work at least with cards like ripid fire, arcane shot and so
not even that did work out. so i guess they didn't included that at all. but thx for the fast reply
@JoshoPrime
I'm super confused. Slate doesn't have Spellburst.
but headmaster does have it. -and kheltuzad doesn't work in this constelation, but it should in this kind of synergy.
there it says: The "keyword" is then functionally meaningless... so i am the one who is a bit more confussed. ^^
quick sumary of what he says
OH! yeah, that should definitely work. I didn't know who "Headmaster" was.
but it won't trigger the affect with the keyword: poiseness and that is not acceptable, if both cards have been created for the same expansion. .-.
