Indeed. But we have to say, it had some cool decks. Tempo mage was bananas, also cubelock (needed nerfs too). I miss that kind of archetypes. I hope tempo mage resurrects with a good elementals deck. I think that the only key missing is a solid 2 mana elemental, and more draw. Right now you don't have anything in turn 2 other than hero power and that vanilla elemental (unless you use coin of course)
Kobolds allowed too much abuse of deathrattle, and too much mana cheating. I did not find it a pleasant experience playing against call to arms or tempo mage or all the stupid spiteful decks or all the druid decks that abused branching paths, or cubelock, or control warlock, or any Hunter deathrattle deck. A pox on the kobolds era, I say. I preferred genn and Baku to be honest.
Yeah, I agree in most of what you said. I just liked those two archetypes in particular. I also liked Genn and Baku. I think it was an error sending them to HoF. The main problem was with some classes. Blizzard decided to take the easy way instead of the good way, by balancing all of the problem classes and hero powers. Archetypes like odd mage and odd druid were awesome. I made a midrange druid deck that used Gonk and Hadronox depending of the matchup. It was so fun and dynamic to play, and actually viable. But well, that was the old Blizz. I'm happy that they're being smooth with nerfs and buffs, and that they actually listen to people and recognize their own errors. I enjoyed a lot this year, my hype level for the new expansion is unmeasurable.
