I'm a completionist. I've spent 90% of my Hearthstone lifespan dedicating myself to the Hunter and Mage classes, and I'm just about finished with them. ("Finished," in maybe a mostly "it's time for a change of scenery" kind of way.) My Hunter is 50ish ladder wins away from golden, and minus a couple ill-playable cards that I refuse to spend dust on, I have the full library of Hunter and Mage. With that being said, because I've spent my time min-maxing like all get-out, my collection outside of Hunter/Mage is extremely limited.
So, my question: Given the Hunter and the Mage, which other class best lends itself to establishing a trifecta of play-styles? Or, which class should I break into next? I want to get a bank of opinions before I blow all my dust into new cards. (Also, I'm trying to let the onslaught of GvG cards leaking every day sway my opinion.)
I'm leaning towards Druid, Shaman, or Priest, but don't really have a solid motivation for any of them. I suggest Shaman because I have an Al'Akir laying around and don't want to dust it, Priest because (imho) they're easily the most frustrating class to compete against, and Druid for no other reason than I've always had a strange affinity for people with antlers.
If you were locked into only three classes, two of which were Hunter and Mage, what would the third one be? Why?
i would choose priest because it is a really fun class to play and is really good in the curent meta because it does well against aggro decks as well as control decks so it's a strong choice
shaman is really fun and if yo u get the gold, you will have those intimidating golden totem. also its really fun to play when you kill someone with over 20 health in a single turn.
I think u should go for priest, shaman/Druid, and for sure go for warlock (as u essentially playing two classes with it handlock and Zoolock). Personally my favorite though is rogue just cause it's the most fun class especially mill rogue.

I'd say Druid or Shaman. If your leaning towards Shaman, the Iron Shaman on the shaman decklist fairs very well for a midrange playstyle. Druid is also a very versatile.

Classes that can "match up" with Hunter+Mage... - Druid/Shaman, since the daily quests need [Druid/Hunter] [Hunter/Mage] [Mage/Shaman], the symmetry would align nicely. - Zoolock / Undertaker Priest / Shockadin; assuming you run Undertaker Hunter + Undertaker+Secret Mage, these rush decks should feel a bit familiar. (If you play Midrange Hunter or Freeze Mage; then my bad) - Paladin, because it's the third class running secrets.
Otherwise if you're just looking for a strong deck, probably go with Zoolock, Handlock, or Wallet Control Warrior.
