Before starting to write my personaly feelings about the game, let me just say that I wont or try to make you unlike the game or make you have any sort of negativity towards the game. This is simple how I truly feel.
This game is just becoming a total mess for me. The game is not fresh anymore and every expansion Blizzard tries to create new archtypes non stop, specially this year. And then buff specific classes who were already powerful the previous meta. And their nerfs to cards just seem out of place sometimes (although i agree with most of them). They nerf cards who are not being the reason of why the game is being opressed but don't nerf the ones who clearly are, FOR MONTHS!
I play since 2017, January (although i played just a few moments around October 2016 but lost my laptop). Around the time Pirate Warrior was the true form of cancerous deck. And what did I mained? Freeze Mage, a direct liability against the wave of pirate warriors... I didn't mind it as much I would but maybe it was because I was experiencing the game. I did reached rank 10 before the Un'Goro expansion. This is where I was excited. And to make it short, i loved every expansion that year until Kobolds.
I truly main Mage with 1000+ wins already. 2017 Mage was top 1 but was a lot more fun and playable. You could reach high ranks with it.. I then adapted to Paladin and Warrior. But Mage is where I was more comfortable. But all changed with Kobolds and Catacombs expansion (later with the witchood and boomsday project). And I purchased every expansion till Boomsday expansion.
The game had become so stale and repetitive in the meta. Kobolds brought the, lets say, "unequality" on the classes. Druids and Warlocks were ruling the game with Priest right behind. The other classes were just left behind (until Rogue crafted another quest Rogue shennanigans). The cards were unispiring and boring and they just to be made to be fun in classes that were already falling under balanced and underwhelming. While the stronger ones, got huge buffs...
Personally for me, killing Mage playability makes me not want to play but I tried and build plenty of warrior and paladin decks. Aggro Paladin was there but wasnt funny for me, the rest simply didn't work. But what striked me the most was how they have been treating Mage lately.. Always and majority of the new cards have random effects. Majority of the cards are pointless and useless because they keep giving high cost mana with powerful effects which wont see no play. New archtypes instead making a direct buff to current archtypes... Not dismissing a new archtypes but there is no need to create 2 new ones eveyr expansion... Its just wrong! Every reveal of cards has become pointless for me.
I now i dont play HS for 6 months competitively or casually. I sometimes log in to do 1 mission (but my friend does it for me) and to open Tarven packs. I just cant take it anymore. I can't build cool and funny decks anymore with Mage. The decks are just bad and boring to use and it has no true win condition anymore (besides burn mage which I didnt liked). Heck, they even nerfed Mana Wyrm which was a good counter for aggro decks!! True, it helped burn mage but they kept giving it buffs every expansion instead giving buff to control decks! They even ruined Quest/Combo Mage but yet, they keep printing combo cards for other classes.
I know Iam rumbling now but I just feel sad about it. This year has been awful for me so far towards Heartstone. I don't even watch HS anymore on youtube. People here brings a lot of positivity most of the time, which is great, but sometimes they clearly dont see how some new cards being revealed are just plain bad and pointless. And when the expansion starts and stales, we wont see 80% of the cards they said we would see play. A never ending cycle.
Iam not trying to look good, but most of my claims are always right. Maybe because I spent a lot of time on the game and knowing the goods and bads of the card.. Specially for my favourite class, Mage.
Now this expansion, its showing to be better than the last two. But talking specifically towards Mage class, and me being a solid player of it (heck, i even have most of Mage legendaries golden lol), I see the same routine of "new archtype". Hero power mage. Some indirect buffs for Odd Mage but nothing that willl make it, at least, tier 2. And we still have the same RANDOM bs on it again. They just keep pressing the same button of Random effects for Mage everytime!! And then they make some cool awesome powerful effects but they give it a backslash of not having support of it or making a high cost mana.
Aff... Sorry, I needed to vent. I barely even log in the site anymore.. Kinda miss it.

I don't know if that started with Kobolds, but i have a feel that this started a way earlier.. I just can't stand that team5 gave up on balancing the game and are taking turns on classes, which one is going to be stronger than the others... "Warlock was in a weak spot since some time, so we decided to give him more powerfull cards" and just like that he rules since ungoro..
Stop crying about Mage bro ,to experience the game you must play all classes and to have fun you must try to build around the known tier decks with your own inclusions.And if you're still looking for fun play wild ,Mage always vialbe there...
i dont even mind the balance too much, there are always the 3 tier1 deck dominating the meta. its like that in every card game.
what bores me is how the game plays in the end, its always the same. the new set is even more uninspiring than the last ones. they basically just moving stats and skills around at this point. i think even with the limited ruleset theyre are working with they could make the game more complex, but i guess they really go all-in casual mode, since they cant compete with the real tcgs anyway.
