Ugh, I know that I read this somewhere, I just can't remember where!
If I remember correctly, it is:
Play a card: 3xp
Kill a minion: 3xp
Something I can't remember: 1xp
Win: 30 xp
That's why people should always play everything they have in their hands before they make the killing blow, to get as much xp for your heros that are below 60 as possible.
I don't think i've ever read the explanation that shows how the experience points are given by the end of the game?
Anyone care to enlighten me about that? :)

Interesting.
Does the formula works the same way in Ranked and Casual?
They have never told us the amounts of xp stuff is worth or the amount of xp per level.
what we do know is playing more cards equals more xp to a certain extent.
Here is a Reddit post which purports to cover the details of how XP are awarded : http://www.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/284t1a/how_leveling_works/
It's from a few months back, and of course there is no guarantee that it is 100% correct, but well worth a look.
Thanks a lot for the link, very interesting read and makes sense rom my own experience.
