A thought came to mind when I was looking the upcoming nerfs to Buzzard and Leeroy. Clearly, if you havent been living under a rock we know the changes. Here are my thoughts on the upcoming patch
Buzzard- going from 2 mana to 5 mana and becoming a 3/2 from a 2/1
Wow talk about getting nerfed to the ground. Dont get me wrong, I hate the current meta we are in, where its mostly hunters or Zoo, but im so glad that this happening. The number of times I have rolled my eyes on turn 5 when I get Buzzard+ unleashed is to no end. The body "buff" doesnt really serve anything to be honest. Plus the fact buzzard is now 5 mana, hunters are going have a hard time when they fall behind;because thats ultimately what made Buzzard + unleash so annoying, it would wipe your board and reload the hunters hand. I hope this the end of the massive amount of Hunters in the meta because honestly, that makes it so other decks like handlock, druid and others be unplayable.
Leeroy- going from 4 to 5 mana
So the first thought I had on this change was not so clear. I realized that this is a big change. Changing leeroy to 5 mana makes its so Miracle cant deal the full damage combo, they can only deal 12 with ONE shadowstep. This is big, because ultimately leeroy is Miracle's win con and now that it is that much damage, its much harder now. Not to say MR is dead but, I see it hard to make it the same after this patch.
After the patches- So all this being said, I think we will see the rise of Handlock once again since handlock's matchup against hunter was nightmarish and almost unwinable. But with this rise I see shaman being playable as well since Shaman has the tools to fight handlock. I cant wait to see what happens, because who isnt sick of this hunter filled meta?
Well you got a point, lots of people netdecked reynad's hunter when Nax came out, and hunter became the problem it was because of the Web spinner. And if handlock rises back to where it was, I see BGHs coming back into decks.
Just an observation: Lost to a hunter last night that didn't hit me at all with buzzard + unleash. Granted I was playing around it which meant I had to play a low slower, but they still have all their powerful secrets and value minions. Mad Scientist and Web Spinner are still sources of card advantage and their hero power is still a great filler. So hunter might be less everywhere, but it's still a strong option.
As for the meta, Priest is potentially the second strongest deck post Naxx and it won't lose any power with the nerf. It might see even more play with people looking for the best thing to use. I agree that this means Handlock will come back (And shaman), but I'm not sure if zoo will be able to make a resurgence. If priests do grow in numbers, zoo will have a tough time. Midrange/Control meta is still likely going to continue after the nerf, but at least there will be more variety (hopefully).
I'm rising with handlock and my only horrible matchup is hunter, and sometimes shaman. I have beaten both classes, but they start with an inherent advantage.

both miracle and hunter can and do win often without these cards. they won't be AS strong but they can improvise and add other strong cards
edit: I just replaced leeroy double shadowstep with A.Blade (more consistent damage and board clear with poison or blade flurry, sinister strike (even more combo potential or extra auctioneer 1 mana draw or finisher), and extra belcher/Senjin. All these cards are much more impactful during the game rather than finishing cards possibly being dead or pidgeoning you into using cards for yolo van cleef.

Are you seriously trying to say that Miracle Rogue is better off w/o Leeroy? ( PRE-NERF ) 0_0

did you even read? "they won't be AS strong" translates to they are better off?
You also said ; " All these cards are much more impactful during the game ". Rather contradictory and it gives the impression that you're insinuating that 'those' cards are better than Leeroy in Miracle Rogue.

leeroy is a finisher. shadowsteps can sometimes be useful as well but if you don't see that playable cards are more impactful than finisher cards, I don't know what to tell you. There is nothing contradictory. Maybe not as strong b/c they don't have a 18+ dmg burst potential but more consistent because you actually have more combo potential/card draw mechanic, damage, board clear, or minions. Tons of games where the blade with deadly poison can either deal 20 damage or give more range in board clear potential rather than a dead leeroy in your hand against a taunt wall etc. If you only depend on leeroy as a miracle rogue player, then that is very weak.
Of course it will. Have my Handkock deck created, I've wrapped it up and put a "do not open until Sept 22nd" sticker on it. It will crush for the first few days at least! :)
My shaman will be waiting.

Just my thoughts, thanks for reading :)
Hearthstone is a game of "copy and pasting"
if handlock rises, aggro mage+aggro hunter+shaman will come to counter
usually pros dictate the meta...how?? they stream some crazy decks, then everybody starts copying it
the cheaper the deck they make, the more people will copy that deck
also control decks require more skill, hence midrange/aggro decks will get a lot more popular than control decks
so yea the meta will change, but it all depends
Well you got a point, lots of people netdecked reynad's hunter when Nax came out, and hunter became the problem it was because of the Web spinner. And if handlock rises back to where it was, I see BGHs coming back into decks.

With the decline of Hunter I think secret Mage could make a rise. It is a fairly strong deck but is currently countered by Flare.
