Hey everyone. I know personal experience is a poor judge of statistics with such a large player base, but I've lately encountered a large upswing in people disconnecting right after a large play on my part, sometimes when defeat is likely eminent, but sometimes too after just a real solid turn. Not just in casual play either, but as much in ranked and arena.
Now, I'm all for conceding if you know you're finished, but I really don't understand that level of rage quit.
My question is, has anyone else noticed an increase in this pattern? Might it be players who are playing on I-Pad and just shutting it off? Does anyone do this during a game that doesn't go there way, and just close hearthstone mid match?
I still win the game, but its a little bit frustrating when you get multiple games where you're just waiting for your opponent, thinking they're thinking, only to have the timer run out and the innkeeper to inform you, "Your opponent has left." Really?
I know i had a problem with disconnecting, so then I'm out of the game.
Yeah, I'm sure some of it is probably this, especially when its in the beginning of a match or when my opponent is ahead. Most of what I'm referring too though are the really suspicious ones, where you half expect your opponent to surrender, but they disconnect instead.
Just occured to me and while I don't want to rule out a DC, I had brawl-korkron cleared the board against a top decking mid range warlock. And armorsmith plays left me at 40ish health. So yeah probably DC. >:]
