We are aware of reports that some daily quests may not be appearing as often as intended. We are currently looking into the issue.
SCAMAZ!
Honestly, this is why I don't do too much blizzard ranting about 'greed'.
If this was an honest mistake, then the outcry has gotten them to notice the issue early and they are addressing it.
If it was an attempt by them to screw with the gold gains then the outcry has gotten them to realize it's not going to work out for them and they'll be forced to reverse it.
Either way, an issue was found, proven to be something that needs correcting, and will be corrected.
The reason why companies do things like this, accidentally or intentionally, is because the people who fuss about it go so over the top in conspiracy theory that the majority reject them as crazy and ignore them. Without people to convince the majority, the issue is ignored until its accepted, with even the ranters jsut saying "oh well, that's just them being greedy".
The majority has incredible power. They just don't evoke it in ways that actually get them that power, instead either being passive or flying off hte handle messing themselves up. It's why I get more critical with the public than with blizzard: because with a strong populous we can get better changes to the company.
And I do like how this issue is being handled. Instead of "OMG BLIZZRD CHEETING US AGAINS! KILL BRODE!" it's attempts to gather data and evidence that something is wrong then sending it up to Blizzard. The Purify rant is another example of a louder one and though I harassed a good number of folks who, imo, had the wrong idea of the situation, the overall push is a good one. Now it just needs staying power.
In the least, it beats yet another complaint about the coin :P.
For now, hoping this issue gets resolved. And once resolved, folks follow up with HARD data to make sure that the gold amounts go back to old probabilities.
Last note: I remember the old days when someone would throw an obscure meme like a guy with glasses with "scamaz" under it and I would have to look it up to know what they are talking about. Now I know it naturally. I don't consider this a good thing. Perhaps I need to take one of those internet holidays.
This is to make people pay real money for karazhan. That is why there was not announcement prior to release, so poeple could not save gold and now they nueter quests to make it more difficult to grind 700 gold a week.
I am not complaining. I pay cash for the adventures anyway, but it seems pretty obvious that is what is going on.

If so then it's a worthless endevour. The suggestions I keep telling people, to save about 1.5 months for an adventure and 2 months for an expansion, assumes the worst luck and a casual playstyle: 40 gold quest + 1 extra win to trigger the 10gold quest. It also goes against the well tested evidence that F2P games don't grow by punishing free players so much as rewarding whales. Trying to force everyone to pay $20 gives far less than convincing a few to spend tens of thousands on the game.
Besides, if they WERE thinking about making it harder to get gold, then you could've just not added in all of those extra gold quests. Not to say that I can't see a company go one way then change back for some silly reason. Just that I haven't seen blizzard make that type of mistake yet (the reverse yes, though. RIP real money auction house).
Besides, hearthstone is still making Niagra Falls amounts of money so rocking the boat for a few spare pieces of cash seems...Konami Stupid.
Well after rerolling 40g quests into 40g quests in Asia, America and Europe all week since patch on Tuesday (apart from 2 tavern brawl quests which was tedious this week), thought I'd try my luck with my new quest on EU - Paladin or Priest Victory (40g), been enjoying playing Priest this last few weeks since I got Confessor P a while back, so reroll it into something better, reroll into 3 victories (40g).
I can probably reroll Asia now too (all rerolls seem to be enabled midnight CET for me?). Let's predict...
I have 2 40g quests (surprise!). Mage/Shaman Victory and 3 Victories. Let's reroll the 3 victories one, at least I can choose not to complete that. Unless I get the deal 100 damage/play 40 minions/those sort of things.
EDIT: Quelle surprise! Druid or Hunter Victory (40g)
While it's not impossible, I do believe its highly unlikely to get a 60 gold quest (other then tb), and I do believe it was intentionally done by Blizzard. I noticed it around a weekish ago when I was starting to save up gold for the second wing of ONK and was having zero luck on getting the quests I needed, needless to say this was the first time I ever willingly accepted the TB quest.
Also was apart of the 40gold only group after Kara came about. However, just now I got my next quest for the day and go a 50g quest. Guessing thats the hotfix.
One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.
Yep. What's more, for the last 5 days in a row I have gotten the same "Destroy 40 Minions", which is one of the worst as far as I'm concerned.

All I am getting is 40g quests and I have been re-rolling them regularly, and I also have not seen the 80Gg Friends quest yet at all, FBM :(
Same. Nothing but 40g for the last 5 days or more even after rerolling every day.
Pretty sleazy move, although perfectly acceptable by Blizzard standard business practices it seems.
Same today. I got another 40g quest, reroll and again, another 40g quest. (5th day)

This is proper bollocks :(
got 40-40 again
this is a disgusting marketing strategy! why would coders change drop rates of quests in the first place??

I got 40-40 too, I haven't got a 60 gold quest in a week, not even the tavern brawl quest.

it's after 2 rerolls
I just mulliganed INTO the brawl quest, and brawls aren't even active
New quest on EU! Beat Down (40g). Rerolled into Paladin or Priest Victory (40g). Yay again

Blizzard said Hotfix will be coming out later today :) https://twitter.com/PlayHearthstone/status/765295466753892352
Edit: Just got a "Watch and learn" quest on Asia server. The Hotfix is Real!

All I have gotten this past few days are 40g ones, wtf!
