Hi, I am trying to level up my priest for the golden class cards, but does anyone know if it matters where I rank up in? Is it faster in ranked compared to say a tavern brawl? Thanks!
i dont think so. im sure tha online mode gives more xp than innkeeper and friendlies and the xp you recieve are matched by the time or maybe the number of turns you played in the game.

Playing vs real players (ranked, arena, tavern brawl) grants more xp than vs the computer or friends, yes
U get more xp for playing vs real ppl (not inkeeper), so brawl should be same as constructed, u get also more xp for longer games, playing more cards. But i dont know the precise numbers, so i cant tell u where it would be worth it to just finish the game and start a new one and where it would be worth to take two more turns to play your entire hand. Just play and dont care about it, it might take u an extra day compared to tryhard scenario for example, but it will be less stressful ;-)
I saw someone on the Battle.net forums say it was something like:
Destroy the enemy hero - 30 xp
Destroy a minion - 3 xp
Play a card - 3 xp
and that's only for matchmaking modes, but it's for all matchmaking modes. That's just an estimate based on whatever information he had but that's what gives you experience, as far as he can tell. There's a base amount you still get if you just concede immediately but that's removed if you do anything that gives you exp. Also, I'm pretty sure it only counts as destroying the hero of you do it and they don't concede, in my experience.
