I hope this is the right place for this. OK, the most serious change to the rules or play, whichever, should be in the match up system. I am by no means a deck builder of any ability, but i try. Here's the issue. If I copy, or build a deck, and try it out in non-ranked play, or in the system against the program 'AI', that's OK. When you have some clown, gold grinding with a tier 1 tourney deck, that's a problem. So what Blizzard needs to do is put some type of system in the match up part that allows for deck build play testing. Like if you win 3 games, or more, you should not be able to continue in non-ranked mode. Or even better, if you win 3 straight games, you should have to do a side-board and change out a minimum amount of cards. Even better would be 3-4 straight wins in non-ranked play, you start losing stars in ranked and lose levels, also. My 2 cents, for those of us that want to learn, don't have money, and/or we are just slow. We need to stop the clown bags from ruining the fun play...
P.S. I would like to take a moment to thank everyone for their insight and information, which was graciously passed along to me.
I don't understand why people expect decks in casual to be worse than in ranked. I play my best decks in casual when I just want to play casually without having to worry about slipping down the ladder. I expect to play similar decks to what I would play on the ladder, and I don't understand why others expect to be up against weak decks.
Sometimes when I'm really tired, but I still want to play a game/test a troll deck/do a daily without losing my rank I'll play casual. I do feel pretty bad for some of my opponents when I do it, but a lot of them have the legend card back so the hidden MMR does work.
I agree that good players should be incentivized to stick to ranked, but if they do that by giving extra rewards for example all hell will break loose withing the casual scene. Sadly, most of your "solutions" would obviously not work and make no sense.

I'm so glad there is prejudice against playing hunter/zoo/[insert FotM deck here]. People like that make the life so much easier for those of us who play to win.
I can see the merit in that, but making everyone else suffer, just because someone wants to take the Rolls out and show off, doesn't necessarily promote good game play.. No problem with kicking back with your favorite deck. Just stop destroying peoples fun. If losing is so fun, you do it. Thats why they are clowns..
Yes see posting down below, and I do agree, no risk, no reward. What of the people who stay away from ranked, because they can't or are not able to have a mid range deck. their only option, so is to lose and lose and lose. I want a game I can play, casual also, with no rank risk. Try playing 100 games, lose most, 75, and see if you think the same. I Owned a game store at one time. The biggest killer to new players is some clown wielding a tier 1 tourney deck. I have had people walk out and never play games again, because of that kinda crap.
All in all, everything you guys have said so far, is correct, with merit, etc. You want new players to play the game and learn, get better. Unless you just want to crush them out of the game completely. either way, some form or fashion of change, would help. Not saying that my solutions, are even that. They are just my first thoughts, on losing a lot of games. I personally will not drop much money into the game. Good game and all, but I'm a REAL card flopper. I want my cards in my hands. Because of that, I have to lose more games, before I can ever get enough gold to get more cards. I don't mine buying a few packs here and there. I will not drop a chunk of money on this. It will become a money game, he who has all the cards, gets the best chances, but it's money, not card playing. In order to get better you have to get more cards. More money. Maybe I am over stating this whole deal, so feel free to rebut. Maybe I am mistaken. Thanks for the replies...and does someone know where I can learn better theory behind deck play and creation? Obviously, I NEED IT!
Dude, say that after losing 50 games in a row...please..
If you lose 50 games in a row in Casual you'd be bumped waaay down to the lower ELO levels, so you'd be playing against people who are easy to beat...
Casual mode uses an ELO-style rating system. You start off with a rating that puts you kindof in the middle of the rankings, so you need to play a few games to move up or down the ranks to a position that matches your win rate.
Eventually, you should be winning around 50% of your matches on average (because that's how ELO ratings work).

No offense but if you lose 75% of your games then you need to work on building your skills, even with a set of rares/commons I think it's possible to have a 50% win rate.
Casual still has a hidden MMR if you are truly lost 50 games in a row your MMR would be tanked and you should be able to win. Casual isn't for people to farm gold, it is for people that want to just play no consequences.
Is this provided you change your deck, or is that the same if you play the same deck?
Regardless of what deck you play. And IIRC, it doesn't reset for each season, so at the beginning of seasons you actually will probably face worse opponents in ranked than in casual.
We need to stop the clown bags from ruining the fun play...

Your MMR for Ranked and Casual are independently tracked, far as I know. If you're hitting a deck with a ton of legendaries, you have your chance to win. That's just your MMR. I've run F2P on EU and Asia and run into players with 4+ legendaries, but that's just how it goes - and I've won my share against legendary toting players with my F2P decks too. Happens more than you might think, because a lot of players that have legendary cards &c at low rank make misplays.
Players that do downrank concede games to get their rank low. So when you're hovering in that area, you're as likely to see a concede from such a farmer. Quick win for you.
As for wanting to learn, not having money, just being slow - yeah, that has nothing to do with it. You want what you want, that's what it comes down to. Only thing is, you want someone else to provide the answers for you, instead of going out and working to earn what you can get.
Far as later comment about "players quitting because they played against a tier 1 tourney deck" - some people are just gonna quit no matter what you do. It's like - if you wanna quit, okay, but don't go around pointing fingers yeah?

If you see a post that you find objectionable, report it, it helps keep the forum clean. But be aware people are allowed a lot of latitude.
If you find my posts to be rude, objectionable, or whatever, well, I got tired of writing polite TL; DR (Too Long, Didn't Read) posts at crybaby whiners. So now I just make it short and nasty.
If you find that funny, well and good. If you find that sad, that's even better.
When you have some clown, gold grinding with a tier 1 tourney deck, that's a problem.
You don't want to test your deck against the best decks? If you're only looking to test your deck against scrubs, what are you going to actually learn about your deck?
True. The only problem with that is I am terrible at building decks, so it would like it has been, pretty bad. Just recently I was able to get to level 20 in ranked. I can't tell you how hard it was, but playing non- ranked was worst.. Just saying..
If you wanna test your deck against someone that's not using some top tier deck hope you get lucky in casual, play with friends, or verus the AI. Tough luck.

Ranked = Try-hard, less fun, more stressful play.
Casual = More laid-back, no risk/no reward play.
With the same decks...
